Gameweek 2 is over and Fantasy Premier League (FPL) managers are already busy making transfers &#8211; but who were the biggest under-performers of the week and who scored more points than they should have?
Every season, we see the biggest haulers of the previous gameweek brought into hundreds of thousands of teams.
But the secret to success in FPL is to jump on players who are about to score more points &#8211; not chasing points.
So with this in mind, we&#8217;re taking a look at the expected points for FPL Gameweek 2 and highlighting those who were fortunate to score well &#8211; and who perhaps could have netted a haul themselves.
We&#8217;ll then examine an early list of the most popular transfers in and out. Are the early bandwagons worth jumping on &#8211; and are some players being moved on in disgust too early?

Bernd Leno (£4.5m) headlined this section last week, with the Fulham goalkeeper perhaps lucky to keep a clean sheet.
Goalkeeepers feature high up in Gameweek 2 as well, with saved penalties largely the reason.
Bournemouth&#8217;s Neto (£4.5m) tops the list after saving Mohamed Salah&#8217;s spot-kick, while Alphonse Areola (£4.0m) kept out Enzo Fernandez (£5.5m).

Brighton trio Pervis Estupinan (£5.0m), Solly March (£6.6m) and Kaoru Mitoma (£6.6m) also made the top 20.
All three managed two goal involvements, all over-performing their expected goal involvements (xGI).
March scored a brace, extending his goal tally for the season to three.
He is so far performing above his expected goals of 1.81. This is in contrast to last season, when he under-performed, scoring six against an xG of 10.2.
FPL managers will need more gameweeks of data to determine whether March has improved on his finishing.
Brighton have however continued where they left off under Roberto De Zerbi. They rank first for xG (6.89) and their attacking assets will therefore continue to get plenty of opportunities in front of goal.
The Seagulls host West Ham in Gameweek 3 but fixtures toughen afterwards. After West Ham at home in Gameweek 3, they rank bottom on our fixture ticker between Gameweek 4 and 9.
This may deter those without a trio of Brighton players from investing further in De Zerbi&#8217;s squad, regardless of their strong xG.

Enzo Fernandez (£5.5m) and Mohamed Salah (£12.5m) both missed penalties in Gameweek 2. See our review of penalty incidents in our <a href="https://www.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/fpl-gameweek-2-review-2023-24">gameweek review</a>.
Salah scored the rebound, however the miss from 12 yards would have harmed his bonus-point potential.
Penalties were not the issue for Bruno Fernandes (£8.5m) and Marcus Rashford (£9.0m), who both blanked in Gameweek 2.
The Manchester United midfielders ranked third and fifth respectively for under-performance.
Fernandes missed a golden opportunity, putting a free header wide, while his two big chances created were not converted by his teammates.
This was a clear issue last season, with his actual assists (nine) less than half his league-leading expected assists (xA).
Rashford played up front for the second week running, with new signing Rasmus Hojlund (£7.0m) not yet fit enough to feature.
The Englishman missed two big chances from an xG of 0.75. He was denied by a fine Guglielmo Vicario (£5.0m) save.
Nottingham Forest visit Old Trafford in Gameweek 3, which might be enough for those holding one or both of the Red Devils&#8217; midfielders to give them one more week.
Gameweek 4, when they travel to the Emirates to play Arsenal, may be a better hop-off point.

<h2>Biggest bandwagons: FPL transfers in</h2>
Over-performing Brighton trio Estupinan, Mitoma and March feature high up in the early transfers in ahead of Gameweek 3.
Brentford&#8217;s Bryan Mbeumo (£6.6m) and Yoane Wissa (£6.1m) have had a hot start, and the Bees continue their run of fine fixtures with two home games coming up against Crystal Palace and Bournemouth.
Rodri (£5.6m) and Alexander Isak (£7.7m) continue their ownership rises &#8211; but as highlighted in <a href="https://www.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/chasing-points-gameweek-1">Gameweek 1</a>, both have downsides.

<h2>FPL transfers out</h2>
Injured players John Stones (£5.4m) and Reece James (£5.4m) top the list of transfers out, while Alexis Mac Allister (£6.0m) &#8211; who saw red &#8211; has also been a popular drop.
Rashford and Fernandes may have been ditched a week early however, while there&#8217;s every chance Joao Pedro (£5.6m) will be back in the Brighton starting lineup come Gameweek 3.
Some 82,000 managers have lost patience with Nicolas Jackson (£7.0m) ahead of Chelsea welcoming Luton to Stamford Bridge.
