<p>It’s a quick turnaround as we head into the second round of group-stage fixtures on Friday.</p>
<p>I’ve really been enjoying the international game, although a clean sheet for England and Argentina would have made it even better.</p>
<p>Some of the players who performed strongly and may be worth considering for Gameround 2 are listed below.</p>
<h3>Buyako Saka (£9.4m)</h3>
<p>Saka scored 17 points in his two-goal showing against Iran.</p>
<p>England face USA next, which should be a chance for Saka to add to his points tally. He may even be a good captaincy option with slight concerns about <strong>Harry Kane (£10.7m)</strong>, although he’s been declared fit to play.</p>
<h3>Ferran Torres (£8.8m)</h3>
<p>The ex-Manchester City star chipped in with a 16 pointer, scoring twice, although Spain do face Germany next which won’t be quite the walkover Costa Rica were.</p>
<p>Germany need a win to try to avoid a second successive World Cup exit in the group stages.</p>
<h3>Jordi Alba £9.3m</h3>
<p>The Spain full-back finished on 16 points - with two assists, a clean sheet and tier two passing.</p>
<p>Not bad for a player who only played 64 minutes. In fact, if he’d had gone off five minutes earlier, he wouldn’t have played enough time for a clean sheet.</p>
<h3><strong>Oliver Giroud (£8.5m)</strong></h3>
<p>Giroud came into contention when <strong>Karim Benzema</strong> was ruled out of the tournament.</p>
<p>He duly delivered with two goals and a 14 point return.</p>
<h3><strong>Kylian Mbappe (£10.8m)</strong></h3>
<p>Mbappe is always a player to consider too. He scored once and returned 10 points, grabbing an assist, but should have considerably more.</p>
<p>He had seven shots, with only one on target. France face a tougher test in Denmark but I’m still expecting them to win.</p>

<h3>Nicolas Otamendi (£8.9m)</h3>
<p>Argentina face Mexico in a must-win game after their shock defeat to Saudi Arabia.</p>
<p>When<strong> Lionel Messi</strong> <strong>(£11.0m)</strong> scored an early penalty I was expecting a monster haul but it wasn’t to be as he finished with just one goal and 10 points. At least he earned tier two shots bonus.</p>
<p>I still think Argentina defenders like Otamendi should be good for passing bonus, however I wouldn’t be surprised to see <strong>Cristian Romero (£8.8m)</strong> not make the starting 11 having been subbed early against the Saudis.</p>
<h3>Andries Noppert (£6.3m)</h3>
<p>Noppert is a very cheaply priced starting goalkeeper. There was a lot of speculation about who would be the first-choice Dutch goalkeeper but he seems to have got the number-one shirt for now.</p>
<p>A clean sheet and tier-one saves earned him 11 points against Senegal.</p>
<p>It’s Ecuador up next for the Netherlands. Another clean sheet coming up?</p>
<h3>Tyler Adams (£7.3m)</h3>
<p>I had Adams  in my team at one point and he was a solid enabler, earning seven points against Wales with tier-one passing bonus and tier-two tackle bonus.</p>
