<h2>Who has the best FPL fixtures?</h2>
<p>Before diving into chip strategy, it's important to set the scene.</p>
<p>Here's the key things to note about the upcoming fixtures.</p>
<h3>Gameweek 3</h3>
<p>Manchester City are the main team to target this week, with a superb home fixture against promoted Coventry.</p>
<p>Aston Villa travel to Hull, who have surprised many by keeping two clean sheets, but their underlying data suggests they were fortunate to do so. Their expected goals conceded (xGC) is 3.11.</p>
<p>Brentford sit in the top four for big chances and expected goals (xG) and welcome Sunderland to the Gtech Community Stadium.</p>
<p>Nottingham Forest rank fourth for their fixture against Spurs (H), who were defeated at home by Newcastle in Gameweek 2.</p>
<p>Arsenal complete the top five, although their fixture against Chelsea (H) is hard to call. The Gunners' league-leading defence comes up against the third best attack from an xG perspective.</p>
<p>Brighton host Leeds meanwhile, having scored the joint most goals (seven) alongside Chelsea.</p>

<h3>Gameweek 3-7</h3>
<p>Looking longer term, it's Newcastle who rise to the top of the ticker.</p>
<p>While no team has a perfect run over the next five, the Magpies come closest, with promoted clubs in both Gameweek 5 and 6.</p>
<p>The same can be said for Everton, who face Ipswich (H) and Hull (A) in the same period.</p>
<p>City's home games will be a major thing to target on Wildcard. Coventry, Sunderland and Ipswich head to the Etihad in Gameweek 3, 5 and 7 respectively.</p>
<p>Favourable fixtures come in pairs in this period, with Brighton playing Leeds (H) and Coventry (A) in their next two.</p>
<p>Liverpool, Manchester United and Leeds are all in the bottom six of the Hub's new-look <a href="https://www.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/fixture-ticker">fixture ticker</a>. The games for Liverpool get tougher after Ipswich (A) and Fulham (H).</p>
<p>A three-week long international break comes between these matches, potentially complicating things for those considering a Wildcard in Gameweek 5.</p>

<h2>Free Hit or Wildcard in FPL Gameweek 3...or save them?</h2>
<p>Varied strategies will set FPL managers on different paths from Gameweek 3.</p>
<p>Wildcards, Free Hits, Triple Captains and simply using free transfers to change up your team are all possibilities, depending on your current squad.</p>
<p>The Wildcard will most commonly be used by those who went with <strong>Erling Haaland </strong>in Gameweek 1, as well as those who are low on City players and want to triple up.</p>
<p>The Norwegian striker is the best captaincy option in their upcoming trio of home fixtures, making it hard to go without him for much longer.</p>
<p>Wildcarders face a difficult decision over Bruno Fernandes, who <a href="https://www.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/fpl-review-gameweek-2-article-26-27">scored a hat-trick</a> in Gameweek 2.</p>
<p>It will be difficult for wildcarders to fit the United talisman in, particularly if they want <strong>Cole Palmer </strong>in Gameweek 4 for Hull (H).</p>

<p>But that excellent Chelsea fixture is a potential problem for Gameweek 3 Wildcard teams, as the Blues have a tough test against Arsenal this weekend. Both teams' picks will be strong options beyond Gameweek 3.</p>
<p>That could see some opt for the Free Hit instead, however those that do so will want to have a plan for both the Chelsea v Hull fixture and City assets going forward.</p>
<p>Using the Free Hit in Gameweek 4 is also an option if you're not playing a chip this week. It may be difficult to max out on both City and Chelsea in successive gameweeks without using a chip.</p>
<p>But if your team is well set up and Haaland is already in place, saving chips is a consideration. It's still early in the season, so there will be other opportunities to use them.</p>
<h2>FPL Gameweek 3 predicted points</h2>
<p>Haaland is the runaway favourite in the Hub AI predicted points chart this week, way ahead of teammate <strong>Antoine Semenyo </strong>and Fernandes.</p>
<p>Haaland has Triple Captain potential for those who are not playing another chip this week.</p>
<p><strong>Elliot Anderson </strong>is currently the third choice City pick, offering arguably more reliable minutes than <strong>Phil Foden </strong>or <strong>Rayan </strong><strong>Cherki</strong>, but free hitters may choose to take the risk on the latter duo's attacking upside.</p>
<p>At the time of writing, Cherki is on 4.8 points, with expected minutes of 65, while Foden is forecast to score 4.3 over 70 minutes. They would edge closer and even into the top 10 if their minutes were upped.</p>
<p>Double Liverpool and Arsenal rounds off much of the top 10.</p>

<p>Looking longer term, Haaland still has a decent lead over the rest and is six points ahead of Fernandes up to Gameweek 7.</p>
