Chelsea are the team many are focusing on in Gameweek 4, but Brighton are catching our eyes.
The Seagulls are the joint-top scorers in the Premier League this season alongside Chelsea, with eight goals. They are also one of six teams with a Fixture Difficulty Rating of 2 this weekend.
Squawka have used the Comparison Matrix to assess the three Brighton players worth taking a look at for GW4.

Maxim De Cuyper (£4.8m) – Defender

De Cuyper is the most-signed defender in FPL ahead of Gameweek 4, with attacking returns in two of his three matches so far.
A goal and an assist played their part in 17 points against Aston Villa, while an assist from a corner against Leeds United brought four points.
Of the five most-signed defenders this weekend, De Cuyper has the third-best Squawka Score of 6.3. He is beaten only by Josko Gvardiol (£5.6m) on 6.5 and Lewis Hal (£5.1m) on 6.4, but the Belgian has the best goal threat.
De Cuyper has averaged 1.2 shots per 90 minutes in the Premier League this season, more than Gvardiol, Hall, Ezri Konsa (£4.4m) and Riccardo Calafiori (£5.7m).
He also leads the way for his 1.9 chances created, which has led to his two assists so far.
Attack is clearly De Cuyper’s main route to points, with lower defensive contributions numbers, but there could be a clean sheet here as Brighton face a Coventry side still awaiting their first Premier League goal of the season.

Diego Gomez (£5.0m) – Midfielder

Considering Brighton’s midfield options, Gomez comes out as the best pick.
He has the joint-highest Squawka Score of 6.3, alongside Malick Yalcouye (£4.5m), and has a more consistent spread of FPL points.
The Paraguayan returned six points in his first game, following that up with a five and then two, with only a few returns for Brighton against Leeds.
Gomez is the most adventurous of Brighton’s midfielders, averaging 3.4 shots per 90, even if he is yet to score.
He ranks well for his 1.7 chances created, being the only one of this quartet to provide an assist. He also has a team-high expected assists (xA) total of 0.92.
Gomez has a slim chance of picking up defensive contribution points too, even if it is a tall order. He averages 2.8 tackles per 90, with 2.4 ball recoveries and 1.1 interceptions.

Pascal Gross (£5.6m) – Midfielder

With underwhelming forward options at Brighton, it might be worth doubling up in the midfield through Gross.
The German’s Squawka Score of 6.2 is respectable without being spectacular, and he is the main outlet for Brighton.
Despite only averaging 1.7 shots per 90, Gross has the highest expected goals (xG) total of any Brighton player, with 0.92.
Only Gomez ranks better among Brighton players for xA than Gross’ 0.56, with that coming through an average 2.4 chances created per 90.
This is perhaps where you would expect Gross to shine most, with everything going through the German.
He is not too bad for defensive contributions either, averaging 2.4 ball recoveries per 90 and 1.4 tackles.
While that isn’t really enough to get regular defensive points, Gross can still put himself about enough to do so occasionally, and penalty duties still remain a possibility.
