<h2>Fulham 2022/23 season expectations</h2>

Fulham in my opinion are by far the best of the promoted teams this season.
Last season, they amassed 90 points &#8211; scoring 106 goals in the process, which is among the highest ever tallies for goals scored in the Championship.
They conceded the fewest number of goals in the Championship as well.
And it&#8217;s not as if they overperformed &#8211; they had the highest <a href="https://www.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/a-simple-guide-to-opta-stats-for-fpl">expected goals</a> (xG) and the lowest expected goals conceded (xGC) in the Championship, so the underlying numbers do justice to their performances.
This gives me belief that they have more of a chance to stay up this year.
Marco Silva used a 4-2-3-1 formation and opted for an attacking, possession based style.
Over the course of the season, they created nearly three big chances per game.
In fact, Fulham also scored nearly 47% of their goals away from home last season, which suggests Marco Silva doesn&#8217;t curb his attacking instincts even in away games.
It will be interesting to see if Marco Silva continues to persist with a gung-ho approach in the Premier League where they are unlikely to enjoy as much possession as they did in the Championship. His comments, however, suggest that his philosophy is unlikely to change:
“I will not change as a person, I will not change as a manager. Our philosophy will not change.&#8221;

<h2>Fulham 2022/23 expected lineup</h2>
                   Leno 
Tete &#8211; Tosin &#8211; Ream &#8211; Robinson 
        Reed &#8211; Palhinha 
  Wilson &#8211; Pereira &#8211; Solomon
                Mitrovic
Fulham have announced a deal for goalkeeper Bernd Leno (£4.5m) from Arsenal &#8211; but while I expect him to become the number one, I don&#8217;t think he will be ready for Gameweek 1. Marek Rodak (£4.5m) should start in his place.
New defensive midfielder Joao Palhinha (£5.0m) is expected to slot into central defensive midfield.
Another new signing in winger Manor Solomon should also eventually come into the side but did not join in time to feature in pre-season.
Fulham look particularly light at centre-back and have been linked with a number of players in this position. A signing here would likely change their preferred pairing.
<h2>Best Fulham forward for FPL</h2>
Aleksandar Mitrović (£6.5m) 
Mitrovic for me is the clear talisman and the ace in their pack.
He is on penalties and has the trust of his manager, who has built his side around him.
His tally of 43 goals last season was the highest for most goals scored by a player in the Championship in a single season.
He had an expected goal involvement (xGi) per 90 of 0.88 per game which highlights the threat he possessed.
He has been known to be notorious for being a bit of a troll among the FPL community however I believe that was because his former manager Scott Parker was not willing to play to his strengths.
I wouldn&#8217;t let his previous record of three goals in 13 appearances in 2020/21 put me off selecting him at some point this season.
He has five attacking returns in pre-season already.
<h2>Best Fulham midfielder for FPL</h2>
Harry Wilson (£6.0m) 
Wilson was another instrumental player for them last season, registering 29 returns with a healthy expected goal involvement (xGi) per 90 of 0.6.
He was on all set pieces last season and was top among all Fulham players for expected assists. However, he is a bit of a doubt to start this season with a knee injury.
The loss of Fabio Carvalho to <a href="https://www.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/premier-league-fantasy-football-tips-liverpool-team-preview-2022-23">Liverpool</a> is expected to be huge but Fulham have signed a replacement, who comes in the form of my next pick.
<h2>Best budget Fulham pick for FPL</h2>
Andreas Pereira (£4.5m) 
Pereira signed from Man United and is probably the pick of the £4.5m midfielders in the game at the moment.
He is expected to be completely nailed for starts and has been playing in the number 10 position in Fulham&#8217;s pre-season.
He has been taking a share of the set pieces as well which has helped him register two assists in pre-season.
<h2>Fulham FPL players &#8211; avoid for now?</h2>
In my opinion, it&#8217;s best to wait and watch with Mitrovic, Wilson and the Fulham defence as their <a href="https://www.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/fixture-ticker">fixtures</a> aren&#8217;t ideal at this point and they would be worth more of a consideration from Gameweek 8 when their schedule gets far more easier.

Corners and indirect free kicks: Wilson, Reed, Kebano, Cairney
