<h2>Nottingham Forest 2022/23 season expectations</h2>

Nottingham Forest are the hardest team to predict out of all the promoted sides in my opinion.
There are plenty of new signings, so it&#8217;s difficult to figure out whether they can click straightaway despite the system being in place.
Forest depended highly on Keinan Davis, Djed Spence, Brice Samba and Philip Zinckernagel last season. so with them all gone it will be imperative for their new signings to step up.
I think Forest will be an exciting team to watch.
They were third for goals scored in the Championship &#8211; with only <a href="https://www.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/fulham-fantasy-football-team-preview">Fulham</a> scoring more goals at home.
On the other hand, they conceded 40 goals last season &#8211; despite an expected goals conceded (xGC) of nearly 55, which shows how instrumental their goalkeeper Samba was to their success.
New signing Dean Henderson will be expected to play a similar role, however at this point it is also worth noting that just 28 goals were conceded in Steve Cooper&#8217;s 38 matches in charge last season.
Cooper is expected to play a counter attacking style of play, with fast transitions up front.

<h2>Nottingham Forest 2022/23 expected lineup</h2>

Williams &#8211; Worrall &#8211; Niakhate &#8211; McKenna- Richards
               O&#8217;Brien &#8211; Lingard &#8211; Colback
                   Johnson &#8211; Awoniyi
I expect Forest to lineup up in a similar 3-4-1-2 again, with Jesse Lingard being the furthest forward of the midfielders.
With a number of new signings, the Gameweek 1 lineup may look a little different to the eventual, settled starting 11 Forest field.
New signing Orel Mangala could eventually secure a midfield spot but Jack Colback should start the season.
<h2>Best Nottingham Forest midfielders and forwards for FPL</h2>
I don&#8217;t think there is a clear talisman at Nottingham Forest at the moment &#8211; it&#8217;s not as if they have someone like an <a href="https://www.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/the-best-fulham-fpl-players">Aleksandar Mitrovic (£6.5m)</a> or a <a href="https://www.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/the-best-bournemouth-fpl-players-2022-23">Dominic Solanke (£6.0m)</a> that the other promoted sides do.
Goals, in my opinion, are likely to be spread around.
It&#8217;s also not clear whether Brennan Johnson (£6.0m) or Taiwo Awoniyi (£6.0m) will be on penalties.
I expect the forward playing with Johnson to get plenty of opportunities but whether that is Surridge or Awoniyi remains to be seen as neither of them are completely secure for starts.
I&#8217;d expect it to be Awoniyi &#8211; as he has a reputation of being a goalscorer in Bundesliga.
Last season was his personal best, where he scored 15 times across 31 appearances.
Johnson is the most nailed of the forwards &#8211; he registered 26 goal involvements last season but annoyingly tends to drift into wide positions, which makes him less of a goal threat than a traditional talisman.
Jesse Lingard (£6.0m) has been their big-name signing this summer but I think it&#8217;s best to monitor him before we invest, especially given their tough opening schedule.

<h2>Best Nottingham Forest budget enabler for FPL</h2>
Neco Williams (£4.0m) is hands down the best budget enabler from Forest.
Steve Cooper has been very complimentary of his new acquisition: “We believe that he’s got an incredibly high ceiling and that he can play a huge role for us at Nottingham Forest in our return to the Premier League. We’re delighted to have him on board.”
Williams registered four attacking returns in 14 appearances for Fulham last season and averaged a shot per game.
He will look to improve on his output given that he will now be playing in a more attacking position as the wing-back.
<h2>Nottingham Forest FPL players &#8211; avoid for now?</h2>
In my opinion, it&#8217;s best to wait and watch with Nottingham Forest as their <a href="https://www.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/fixture-ticker">fixtures</a> aren&#8217;t ideal at this point and they would be worth more of a consideration from Gameweek 6 when their schedule gets far more easier.
Williams is the only one I&#8217;d have right now.
