It’s been another rough gameweek for me but it came down to fine margins. Overthinking the Joao Pedro move ultimately made the difference between a green and a red arrow.
Not buying Maxim De Cuyper on my Wildcard a couple of weeks ago is looking like a bigger and bigger mistake. Leif Davis couldn’t keep pace with the out-of-position gem.
My differentials let me down in midfield as well. Marcus Tavernier was quiet again, booked and subbed after 72 minutes as Bournemouth were blown away by Chelsea’s early double.
Morgan Gibbs-White had no shortage of opportunities, striking the crossbar and post as Forest dominated much of the first half but came away from Palace empty-handed.
Liam Delap, Dan Ndoye and Chris Wood all missed chances set up by the England international.
Erling Haaland’s goal came shortly after a very soft Ryan Gravenberch sending-off, which completely changed the game at Anfield.
An assist from Igor Thiago partially limited the damage but the Brazilian squandered yet another big chance and picked up his third booking in as many matches.

Hub AI recommended transfers
Moving on to Gameweek 7 and Fantasy Football Hub’s AI once again suggests remaining calm and saving my transfers.
However, if I switch to the aggressive profile, which maximises short-term gains, downgrading Josko Gvardiol to Jan Paul van Hecke to fund Morgan Rogers to Antoine Semenyo are the two moves it recommends.
Gvardiol suddenly looks more of a rotation risk after he was dropped to the bench at Anfield but there’s obvious upside if he gets a recall against Ipswich this weekend.
It could have been a case of Enzo Maresca giving him a breather after he played every minute of Croatia’s four Nations League matches over the international break.
I’m certainly hoping that’s the case.
