<h2 style="text-align: left;">Best World Cup Fantasy players for the quarter-finals:</h2>
<p class="mceTemp">Let's get into it - here are my top three picks in each position:</p>

<h2>Best goalkeepers for the quarter-finals</h2>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<h3><strong>Alisson Becker ($6.0m) – Brazil</strong></h3>
<h4><strong>Fixture: Croatia</strong></h4>
<p>Brazil have arguably the most favourable fixture of the quarter-finals against Croatia, and will be strong favourites to qualify for the semi-finals.</p>
<p>With <strong>Thiago Silva ($5.5m)</strong> and <strong>Marquinhos ($5.5m)</strong> at centre-back, they boast a strong spine, and Alisson is one of the best shot-stoppers in the world.</p>
<p>Croatia struggled to score against Japan, who are a vastly inferior defence, and you would certainly fancy the Brazilians for a clean sheet here.</p>
<p>Brazil kept two clean sheets in their opening pair of group games, while their much changed lineup lost 1-0 to Cameroon, and South Korea managed a late goal against them.</p>
<p>They only conceded five goals in qualifying too, keeping eight clean sheets in 17 games.</p>

<h3><strong>Diogo Costa ($5.0m) – Portugal</strong></h3>
<h4><strong>Fixture: Morocco</strong></h4>
<p>Diogo Costa will save you a cool million on Alisson, and has probably the only other fixture of the quarter-finals which could be described as 'favourable'.</p>
<p>Portugal face a Morocco side who have failed to score in two of their four games so far, despite impressing along the way.</p>
<p>Costa will fancy himself for another shut-out here with an experienced defence in front of him, having already kept one against Uruguay,</p>
<p>He also has a great record for saving spot kicks, having saved three penalties in three successive matches for Porto in the Champions League.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<h3><strong>Andries Noppert ($4.5m) – Netherlands</strong></h3>
<h4><strong>Fixture: Argentina</strong></h4>
<p>Noppert is the value pick here, and whilst a fixture against Argentina doesn't look great on paper, it's likely to be a tight affair, which could easily end up being decided on penalties.</p>
<p>The Dutchman offers probably the best cheap goalkeeper option to pair with one of the more premium picks mentioned above.</p>
<p>The Netherlands have a very solid defence on paper, with <strong>Virgil Van Dijk ($6.0m), Nathan Ake ($5.0m), </strong>and<strong> Jurrien Timber ($5.5m) </strong>holding the fort.</p>
<p>Noppert has been a great option at $4.5m, keeping two clean sheets already, and making 16 saves across his four appearances.</p>
<p>The Dutch aren’t going to be an easy side for Argentina to break down, and at $4.5m, Noppert allows you the freedom of funds to spend elsewhere.</p>

<h2><strong>Best defenders for the quarter-finals</strong></h2>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<h3><strong>Denzel Dumfries ($6.0m) – Netherlands</strong></h3>
<h4><strong>Fixture: Argentina</strong></h4>
<p>Denzel Dumfries is the highest scoring defender in World Cup fantasy so far, and for good reason.</p>
<p>Dumfries managed an incredible haul last time out against the USA, bagging himself two assists and a goal over the course of 90 minutes.</p>
<p>The flying Dutchman racked up 14 points in that game alone, without even keeping a clean sheet!</p>
<p>Argentina present a significantly more difficult prospect than the USA, but Dumfries remains one of the most attacking defenders in the game, and so it's better to think of the potential clean sheet as a bonus rather than any kind of certainty.</p>
<p>The Netherlands kept two clean sheets out of three during the group stages however, and Argentina haven't looked overly cohesive in attack - although you'd expect <strong>Lionel Messi ($10.5m)</strong> to have his say.</p>
<p>Dumfries has 29 goals and 43 assists in his club career, plus six goals for his country, and he's about as threatening as any midfielder in the game.</p>
