Aleksandar Mitrovic is a doubt for FPL Gameweek 10 through injury &#8211; but what is the latest news and should FPL managers consider selling him?
The Fulham forward, priced at £6.8m, is owned by 27.1% of FPL managers, as well as being a popular budget option in other fantasy formats including Sky Sports Fantasy Football.
We take a look at the news from Fulham manager Marco Silva&#8217;s press conference and consider what fantasy managers should do as a result.

<h2>When was Mitrovic injured?</h2>
Mitrovic picked up a knock in Serbia&#8217;s first of two UEFA Nations League games during the <a href="https://www.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/fpl-gameweek-9-review-mitrovic-injury-news-haaland-foden-and-trossard-hat-tricks-and-latest-stats">international break</a>.
He was substituted with just under 20 minutes to go against Sweden, having scored a hat-trick.
Fears over the injury were lessened when he started against Norway three days later. He played 93 minutes of the match and scored a goal.
All was well until pictures circulated of the Fulham striker after the game with bandaging around the problem foot.
But he returned to Premier League action last weekend and was named in the starting 11 against Newcastle.
That wasn&#8217;t the end of the story, though, as he was replaced midway through the first half.
Manager Marco Silva said of the injury <a href="https://www.westlondonsport.com/fulham/fulham-boss-silva-on-mitrovic-injury-chalobah-red-card-and-other-absentees">post-match</a>: “I don’t know. It’s too early. We have to assess him of course – not just him but the other players who were injured for the day.”
He added: “He got a knock in the first game in the international team, yes. It’s in the foot.”
<h2>What is the latest on Mitrovic&#8217;s injury?</h2>
FPL managers had to wait until Silva&#8217;s press conference this afternoon (Friday, October 7) to find out more.
His status for FPL Gameweek 10 however remains in the balance.
Silva said he was a &#8216;doubt&#8217; and would be assessed tomorrow &#8211; Fulham travel to West Ham United on Sunday.
“He was outside this morning doing some work, getting better, but he is still a doubt for the match,” Silva said, according to Fulham&#8217;s <a href="https://www.fulhamfc.com/news/2022/october/07/team-news-mitro-a-doubt/">website</a>.
“Again, we have to assess him tomorrow, do what we should do with him, and take the decision for the match.
“It was the injury that he got from the first game with the international team, he got a kick which damaged a little bit his foot.
“And, of course, after the first international match he played the second game. He played the 90 minutes and when he came here he had small damage in his feet.
“Of course, we are managing it, we&#8217;re doing some treatment with him to get him ready as quick as we can.
“It&#8217;s not something really serious. Let&#8217;s see if he can be ready for Sunday against West Ham.
“He will be ready for Bournemouth for sure, we hope, and let&#8217;s see if he can be ready or not for West Ham.”

<h2>Should I sell Mitrovic in FPL?</h2>

Mitrovic has been one of the standout FPL forwards of the season, sitting third in the table of top scorers with six goals.
He is behind only Erling Haaland (£12.2m) for both total shots and shots on target so far.
Fulham&#8217;s fixture run from an attacking perspective is also strong up until the World Cup, ranking third on the Hub&#8217;s <a href="https://www.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/fixture-ticker">fixture ticker</a>.
With the chance he could play a part this weekend and it seemingly likely he will be back for Fulham&#8217;s plum fixture against Bournemouth in Gameweek 11, holding the Serb could be the best option.

If holding, FPL managers then face a decision over whether to start him, in the hope he makes the starting 11, or gamble on him not playing a part and use one of their bench options instead.
<h2>Who should I buy to replace Mitrovic if I want to sell him?</h2>
The options in Mitrovic&#8217;s price bracket are similar to those we laid out in last week&#8217;s <a href="https://www.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/four-fpl-replacements-for-alexander-isak-injury-update-for-newcastle-united-striker">article</a> on replacements for Newcastle&#8217;s Alexander Isak (£6.9m).
In addition, Callum Wilson (£7.2m) tops the Hub&#8217;s list of forwards priced £7.5m and below for predicted points between Gameweek 10 and 13.

A decision to sell Mitrovic though should be considered carefully, bearing in mind the fact he might recover in time for Sunday and the likelihood he will be a popular pick against Bournemouth.
