<h2>When are the FPL blank and double gameweeks in 2025/26?</h2>
The following gameweeks could be blank or double gameweeks in 2025/26.
The upcoming potential Double Gameweek 26 and Blank Gameweek 31 are discussed in detail below. Others will be outlined in depth when more information is known:

Blank gameweeks occur when some teams don&#8217;t have a fixture, while double gameweeks see sides play more than once.
Typically, these gameweeks are caused by cup matches clashing with planned league games.
Experienced FPL managers often use chips, such as the <a href="https://www.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/what-is-the-fantasy-premier-league-triple-captain-and-when-to-use-it">Triple Captain</a> and <a href="https://www.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/what-is-the-free-hit-chip-in-fpl-and-how-can-we-use-it">Free Hit</a>, in these weeks in order to maximise their effectiveness.

<li>Arsenal&#8217;s Gameweek 31 match could be brought forward if they reach the Carabao Cup final</li>

It&#8217;s Newcastle v Manchester City and Arsenal v Chelsea in the two-legged Carabao Cup semi-finals.
City are favourites to progress at Newcastle&#8217;s expense after beating them 0-2 at St James&#8217; Park.
Should Arsenal get through, their match against Wolves (A) could be brought forward to Gameweek 26.
With the Gunners likely to qualify for the next stage of the Champions League without going through the playoff round, they could have a free midweek.
Other teams&#8217; matches are likely to have to wait until after Gameweek 31 to be played.
Double Gameweek 26 fixtures could be as follows:

<li>Arsenal: v Brentford (A) and Wolves (A)</li>
<li>Wolves: v Nottingham Forest (A) and Arsenal (H)</li>
</ul>
The Carabao Cup finalists will be known by the FPL Gameweek 25 deadline, however the dates for rearranged games might not be known until afterwards.

<h2>Are there fewer blank and double gameweeks this season?</h2>
There used to be plenty of blanks and doubles later in the season as cup competitions began to clash with league fixtures.
But a change to the FA Cup schedule last season led to fewer opportunities for FPL managers.
This was because the cup quarter-finals were given their own space on the calendar, meaning this stage of the competition didn&#8217;t cause any disruption to the league.
Once again, this will be the case in 2025/26 &#8211; but much like last season, it only takes a postponement or two for bad weather or another unforeseen incident to create more blanks and doubles.
