<p>Last week, the overwhelming majority of engaged players went with <strong>Cole Palmer</strong>.</p>
<p>Our verdict was close but we backed <strong>Mohamed Salah</strong>.</p>
<p>The difference wasn’t huge in the end but our top choice came out with more points, and every little counts when it comes down to it.</p>

<h2 style="text-align: left;">Best FPL captain for Gameweek 17: Players' records</h2>
<p>Here are some notable records for our captaincy candidates:</p>
<p><strong>Palmer </strong>- blanked away against Everton last season, but scored four (yes four) in the home game!</p>
<p><strong>Fernandes </strong>- braced away last season but blanked the home match.</p>
<p><strong>Salah </strong>- hauled in the home match last season but blanked away. However, he braced away the season prior and scored in the home game. Remember, "It's only Spurs."</p>
<p><strong>Saka</strong> - has never returned away against Crystal Palace.</p>
<p><strong>Isak</strong> – hasn’t played against Ipswich before but I won’t overly penalise him in the metric, as I wouldn’t expect him to have a poor record against them.</p>
