<h2><strong>Best FPL captain for Gameweek 27: The candidates</strong></h2>
<p>Once again, <strong>Mohamed Salah</strong> delivered. We’ve run out of superlatives for him and there was never really any fear after some of the alternatives performed.</p>
<p>Given the tight turnaround between the end of Gameweek 26 and the deadline for Gameweek 27, we’ve merged our usual fixtures and captaincy article to purely focus on the key decisions.</p>
<p>This week, we have an out-of-form Chelsea and <strong>Cole Palmer</strong> with a plum fixture versus the Egyptian. Who should you go for and why?</p>
<p>In addition, with two relegated teams in a row, is there anyone else worth considering from Chelsea?</p>

<p>Here are some notable records for our captaincy candidates:</p>
<p><strong>Cunha</strong> - Hauled in the reverse fixture and scored in the one before that but hasn't faced Fulham at home yet.</p>
<p><strong>Salah</strong> - Hauled in his last two matches against Newcastle and has returned in the previous five matches in a row.</p>
<p><strong>Palmer </strong>- Only picked up seven points in the reverse fixture after being overshadowed by his teammates.</p>
<p><strong>Bowen</strong> - Blanked in his last two starts against Leicester.</p>
<p><strong>Mbeumo</strong> - Appears to have a bogey team here, with no attacking returns.</p>
<p>For the metric, I will weight Palmer and Bowen equally given the sample size.</p>
