<h2 style="text-align: left;">The Best FPL Defenders for Double Gameweek 28</h2>

<h3><strong>Kyle Walker-Peters (£4.8m) – Southampton</strong></h3>
<p><strong>Fixture: Aston Villa (a) and Newcastle United (H)</strong></p>
<p>Kyle Walker-Peters has been in impressive form recently. He has one goal and two assists this season, with 11 Shots in the Box and an xG of 1.15. He has also created 23 chances, with an xA of 2.38.</p>
<p>The full-back has started the last five games, and seems to have nailed down his role as first choice.</p>
<p>Southampton play Aston Villa and Newcastle United in Double Gameweek 28. Villa have scored 33 goals (13<sup>th</sup>) with an xG of 27.7 (17<sup>th</sup>), whereas Newcastle have netted 28 goals (15th) with an xG of 27.6 (18<sup>th</sup>).</p>
<p>The Saints have conceded 37 goals (12<sup>th</sup>) with an xGC of 40.0 (13<sup>th</sup>) and have kept seven clean sheets. They haven’t been particularly solid defensively, but they are where you would expect them to be.  It’s unlikely that they will keep two clean sheets here, but one is more than a possibility, and with Walker-Peters you also have his goal and assist threat to fall back on.</p>
<p>He has the highest assists and xA amongst Saints defenders, and also has the most shots.</p>
<p>Our <a href="https://www.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/predictions">Points Prediction Tool</a> has him at 6.9 predicted points for Double Gameweek 28, and he is also at 61% for anytime returns.</p>

<h3><strong>Trent Alexander Arnold (£8.5m) – Liverpool</strong></h3>
<p><strong>Fixture: West Ham United (H)</strong></p>
<p>Trent Alexander-Arnold looks well on his way to beating his best-ever points total (210) in the 2019/20 season. He has already amassed 162 FPL points, with two goals, 10 assists, and 13 clean sheets, as well as registering 11 Shots in the Box with an xG of 2.3, and creating 80 Chances with an xA of 8.29 (1<sup>st</sup> among defenders).</p>
<p>Liverpool face a decent West Ham side in Double Gameweek 28. The Hammers have scored 46 goals (4<sup>th</sup>) with an xG of 41.5 (6<sup>th</sup>) and are well in the hunt for Champions League football.</p>
<p>However, the Reds' defence has been formidable this season, and David Moyes’s men will have their work cut out in order to get anything here. Liverpool have only conceded 20 goals (3<sup>rd</sup>) all season, with an xGC of 25.8 (2<sup>nd</sup>).</p>
<p>Also, we know what we get with Trent - immense attacking threat. He can score, assist and he is on plenty of set-pieces. He has so many ways of scoring points and he is one of the first names on Klopp’s team sheet.</p>
<p>They also have a 48% chance of clean sheet against West Ham United.</p>
<p>Our <a href="https://fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/predictions/">Points Prediction Tool</a> ranks him as the highest-scoring defender (6.3 points) who has a single fixture this week.</p>

Lucas Digne (£5.1m) – Aston Villa</strong></h3>
<p><strong>Fixture: Southampton (H) and Leeds United (a)</strong></p>
<p>Aston Villa have now kept seven clean sheets, conceding 37 goals (9<sup>th</sup>) with an xGC of 36.9 (10th). They are a decent defensive side, who have much improved in the second half of the season under Steven Gerrard.</p>
<p>Lucas Digne has one assist since joining Villa, and has created 36 Chances this season with an xA of 2.54  - he has been unfortunate not to have a few more assists. He is also on set-piece duties, including corners and free-kicks, so more attacking returns are sure to come.</p>
<p>The Villains come up against Southampton (H) and Leeds United (a) in Double Gameweek 28. Stats wise, Saints look reasonable in attack, ranking in the top 10 attacking teams, but Leeds have only scored 29 goals (14<sup>th</sup>) with an xG of 34.9 (9<sup>th</sup>).</p>
<p>Our <a href="https://www.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/predictions">Points Prediction Tool</a> gives Villa a 46% chance to keep a clean sheet over the two fixtures, and also ranks Digne as the second highest scoring defender (8.7 points) for Double Gameweek 28.</p>

Roman Saiss (£5.0m) – Wolves</strong></h3>
<p><strong>Fixture: Crystal Palace (H) and Watford (H)</strong></p>
<p>Roman Saiss looks a great option for Double Gameweek 28. He has two goals this season, with 12 Shots in the Box and an xG of 2.30 (1<sup>st</sup> among Wolves defenders). He has also created 6 Chances, with an xA of 0.61.</p>
<p>Wolves, who have one of the best defences in the league, welcome both Crystal Palace (H) and Watford (H) to the Molineux this Gameweek. They have only conceded 21 goals (4<sup>th</sup>) with an xGC of 35.8 (8<sup>th</sup>).</p>
<p>Bruno Lage’s men face favourable opposition in Double Gameweek 28. Watford have only scored 25 goals (17<sup>th</sup>) with an xG of 31.0 (14<sup>th</sup>). Although Palace have been slightly better with 37 goals (7<sup>th</sup>) and an xG of 34.8 (10<sup>th</sup>) it will still be a tough task breaking down the Wolves defence.</p>
<p>They don’t concede many chances at all, and being at home for these fixtures gives them a huge advantage.</p>
<p>The bookmakers also have them a 41% chance to keep a clean sheet against Palace and 47% against the Hornets. This means they have a 68% chance (1<sup>st</sup>) of keeping at least one clean sheet in Double Gameweek 28.</p>
<p>Roman Saiss is also ranked as the <a href="https://www.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/predictions">highest predicted scorer</a> (9.5 points) amongst all players this week.</p>

<h3><strong>Antonio Rudiger (£6.1m) – Chelsea</strong></h3>
<p><strong>Fixture: Burnley (a) and possibly Norwich (a)</strong></p>
<p>Antonio Rudiger has only missed one game for Chelsea this season, and looks to be their most nailed asset. He has two goals and three assists, with 18 Shots in the Box and an xG of 2.50 (1<sup>st</sup> among Chelsea defenders). He has also created 11 chances for his teammates, with an xA of 1.06.</p>
<p>Chelsea come up against Burnley in Double Gameweek 28, which is a fantastic fixture defensively. The Clarets have only scored 22 goals (19<sup>th</sup>) with an xG of 23.8 (19<sup>th</sup>). They are the second-worst attacking side in the league.</p>
<p>Thomas Tuchel's team are also very likely to have a second fixture this week, against the worst attacking side in the league - Norwich.</p>
<p>If Chelsea beat Luton, or Norwich beat Liverpool, in the FA Cup this week, both the Blues and the Canaries will have a double in Gameweek 28.</p>
<p>Chelsea also have a very solid defence. They have conceded 18 goals (2<sup>nd</sup>), with an xGC of 26.7 (3<sup>rd</sup>). If their double goes ahead, which is very likely then there isn’t a better set of fixtures defensively and one of their defenders will be a top priority.</p>
<p>With Rudiger, you have the chance of attacking returns, and the assurance of his starts.</p>
<p>The bookmakers have the London club at 54% to keep a clean sheet against Burnley.</p>
