<h2 style="text-align: left;">Who are the Best FPL Defenders For Gameweek 11?</h2>

<h3>Ben Chilwell (£6.0m) – Chelsea</h3>
Fixture: Burnely (H)
Ben Chilwell registered yet more returns last gameweek with a clean sheet and two bonus points. He has now accumulated 43 points in his last four starts (1st) with three goals and three clean sheets.
He has 6 Shots in the Box (1st among defenders), with an xG of 1.15 (2nd) and also has an xA of 0.43. Chilwell again looks primed for both defensive and attacking returns this week looking at Chelsea’s fixture.
The Blues have the best defensive fixture in Gameweek 11 as they take on Burnley at home. The Clarets have only scored 10 goals (18th) with an xG of 12.7 (12th).
Chelsea’s defence will surely be too strong for Sean Dyche’s men as they have only conceded 3 goals (1st) and <a href="https://cms.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/fixture-ticker/">their fixture this week</a> is another prime opportunity for a clean sheet.
According to the bookmakers the Blues are the favourites to keep a clean sheet (58%) and also to score 2.5+ goals (48%). This bodes well for Chilwell’s attacking output too.
Another point to note is that the left-back was rested in the midweek Champions League game against Malmo so is very likely to start in Gameweek 11.
Furthermore, Ben Chilwell is ranked as the highest predicted scoring defender (6.3 points) and second player overall according to our <a href="https://cms.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/predictions/">Points Prediction Tool.</a>

<h3>Trent Alexander Arnold (£7.6m) – Liverpool</h3>
Fixture: West Ham United (a)
The Liverpool right-back has five clean sheets and three assists this season. He has created 26 Chances (2nd), 5 Big Chances (2nd) with an xA of 3.03 (5th). These stats are amongst all players. He is one of the best value players in the game who can haul in any fixture.
Liverpool come up against West Ham United (a) in Gameweek 11 which isn’t the easiest of fixtures. The Hammers have had a great start to the season and have been good going forward. They have scored 20 goals (3rd) with an xG of 18.7 (4th) and they also sit 4th in the league.
However, The Red's defensive stats have also been good. They have conceded 8 goals (3rd), 34 Shots on Target (3rd), 76 Shots in the Box (7th) and an xGC of 11.2 (2nd).
They are capable of keeping a clean sheet against any team really and Alexander-Arnold is capable of registering attacking returns at any given moment.
Also, he does look to be back at his best looking at his underlying numbers. He is a set and forget player in my opinion.
Our <a href="https://cms.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/predictions/">Points Prediction Tool</a> ranks him as the fifth highest scoring defender (4.9 points) for Gameweek 11 and also at 57% for anytime returns.

<h3>Pontus Jansson (£4.7m) – Brentford</h3>
Fixture: Norwich (H)
Brentford have been a very good side this season. They have had a recent spat of bad results with losses in the last three but their underlying numbers tell us they will do fine going forward.
Over the season they have conceded 12 goals (6th), 64 Shots in the Box (2nd), 37 Shots on Target (4th) and an xGC of 11.8 (3rd). These are quite phenomenal stats for a promoted team.
Brentford come up against promotion rivals Norwich in Gameweek 11. Nigel Farke’s men have been the worst side in the league this season and will go back down to the Championship again no doubt.
They have only scored 3 goals (20th) with 24 Shots on Target (20th), 47 Shots in the Box (20th) and an xG of 8.6 (20th). These stats really don’t read well for Norwich and it's no surprise that the Bees are the second favourites to keep a clean sheet (48%) this week according to the bookmakers.
Pontus Jansson has started every game for Brentford and also looks like one of their best from an attacking perspective too.  He is currently the highest scoring budget defender and has three clean sheets and also three assists (1st among defenders).
This will probably be the best chance Brentford get to keep a clean sheet all season. Also, because the Canaries are so bad defensively, Jansson will also have a chance of some attacking returns.

<h3>Shane Duffy (£4.4m) – Brighton</h3>
Fixture: Newcastle United (H)
Brighton have kept four clean sheets in their first 10 games. They have conceded 72 Shots in the Box (5th), 38 Shots on Target (5th) and an xGC of 13.1 (7th). They look a good defensive side and will keep a fair few clean sheets this season.
The Seagulls face Newcastle United (H) in Gameweek 11 which looks like another good fixture for Graham Potter's team. The Toon have scored 11 goals (17th) with 64 Shots in the Box (18th), 31 Shots on Target (18th) an xG of 9.8 (19th).
Also, Brighton are the third favourites to keep a clean sheet (45%) in Gameweek 11 and Duffy also provides the most attacking threat in their backline. He has 15 Shots in the Box (1st among defenders), 4 Shots on Target (3rd) and an xG of 1.87. He is also great value at only £4.4m.
Looking at the stats and results, this really does look a great fixture for Brighton to keep another clean sheet in. Newcastle look devoid of ideas just now and really haven’t been at the races in the final third or defence.

<h3>Takehiro Tomiyasu (£4.6m) – Arsenal</h3>
Fixture: Watford (H)
Arsenal have really improved as a team since their first three games in which they lost and conceded eight goals. They have since kept four clean sheets.
Takehiro Tomiyasu has been a great addition to their defence. He has some attacking threat and is very nicely priced at £4.6m.
The Gunners play Watford at home in Gameweek 11 which looks like a very enticing fixture for them. The Hornets have scored 12 goals (16th) with an xG of 11.8 (17th).
They aren’t the best attacking side and Mikel Arteta's men will definitely fancy their chances of keeping another clean sheet here. Watford have failed to score in six of their 10 games.
Since their first three the North London club have actually only conceded 4 goals (2nd) with an xGC of 7.7 (2nd). They are third favourites to keep a clean sheet (45%) in Gameweek 11 also.
Arsenal’s defensive numbers have been good for the most part and they were also in the top four for best defences last season too.
