<h3><strong>Diogo Jota (£7.2m) – Liverpool </strong><strong>–</strong><strong> 2.9% owned</strong></h3>
<p><strong>Fixture: Spurs (a)</strong></p>
<p>Ahead of the festive fixture run, it’s often advised to avoid players who are prone to rotation. Diogo Jota falls into that category, but he is one of a select few FPL assets who is arguably worth the risk.</p>
<p>While there is likely to be continued rotation with <strong>Darwin Nunez</strong>, prior to injury the Portugal international was the clear first choice striker for Arne Slot, and there is no obvious reason for that to have changed now.</p>
<p>Nunez started and scored at Southampton in the midweek League Cup fixture, but with Liverpool travelling to respectable opponents in Spurs, Slot will be keen to field his strongest team.</p>
<p>Jota made his comeback for 10-man Liverpool against Fulham last gameweek, and it took him just a few minutes to get himself on the scoresheet.</p>

<p>It takes the Liverpool midfielder to three goals and three assists in seven Premier League starts under Slot, and he is back on the grass just in time for the Reds’ busy run, with Leicester at home up next.</p>
<p>Given that Jota has already showcased his goalscoring touch since returning to action, doubts around his fitness are perhaps overstated - although he will certainly be eased back in to some extent, and as such FPL managers should be wary of an early sub this weekend.</p>
<p>There is no guarantee of a start, but only Southampton and Leicester have performed more poorly in terms of expected goals conceded than Spurs over the last five gameweeks, which bodes well for Liverpool’s attackers in Gameweek 17.</p>
<p><strong>Mohamed Salah </strong>is the only Reds asset averaging more goal involvements than Jota per 90 minutes this season, and with the Portugal man now fit and firing again, he will be the likeliest among the Reds' squad to rival the Egyptian for points.</p>

<h3><strong>Alex Iwobi (£5.7m) – Fulham </strong><strong>–</strong><strong> 5.2% owned</strong></h3>

<p>Former Arsenal and Everton man Alex Iwobi is averaging an attacking return every other game this season, with five goals and three assists in his 16 appearances.</p>
<p>With <strong>Andreas Pereira </strong>suspended this week, there will be greater impetus on Iwobi to provide a link between midfield and attack, and he may pick up a share of set-pieces along with<strong> Harry Wilson </strong>on the other flank.</p>
<p>Although there's a chance of Iwobi filling in at number 10 in Pereira's absence, the Nigeria international has been a standout performer on the left-hand side for the Cottagers, and that bodes well for this week's game against Southampton - the Saints concede a significant number of chances in that area of the pitch.</p>

<p>The medium-term fixtures look strong regardless of where Iwobi lines up this weekend, and at £5.7m he could be a useful rotation option for the weeks to come.</p>
<p>Gameweek 17 is arguably the best fixture of the season for Fulham however, and while there is hot competition between <strong>Raul Jimenez </strong>and <strong>Rodrigo Muniz </strong>up front, Iwobi will be confident of starting and returning having made himself more of a 90 minute man this campaign.</p>
<p>Additionally, Fulham host Bournemouth and Ipswich in their next four, and it's difficult to imagine Marco Silva's side not producing some goalscoring displays in these strong home fixtures.</p>

<p>Leicester City's veteran striker was an early substitute in their last game after picking up a knock, but prior to that Vardy was on a run of three attacking returns in three gameweeks.</p>
<p>At just £5.6m, the Foxes forward is providing incredible value for FPL managers, with the comfort blanket of penalties also in his locker.</p>
<p>The majority of Leicester's attacking efforts are funnelled towards Vardy, which is reflected in him topping the expected goal involvements charts for Foxes assets this season.</p>

<p>The fixtures are a mixed bag for Leicester, but the 37-year-old can potentially be rotated in your FPL squad such is his bargain price.</p>
<p>Vardy's Gameweek 17 opponents are Wolves, and although they are now under new management, they are still expected to present as one of the more obliging defences in the Premier League for the time being.</p>
<p>Leicester meanwhile appear to be prioritising attack over defence under Ruud van Nistelrooy, which can only be a good thing for those backing Vardy in the weeks to come.</p>
