<h2 style="text-align: left;">Who are the best FPL Forwards For Gameweek 1?</h2>
<h3>Ollie Watkins (£7.5m) – Aston Villa</h3>
Fixture: Watford (a)
Ollie Watkins had a very impressive debut season in the Premier League which saw him score 14 goals and pick up nine assists.
His statistics were very good also as he registered 97 Shots (5th in the entire division), 45 Shots on Target (6th), 87 Shots in the Box (3rd) and 25 Big Chances (6th).
It’s not only his goal scoring stats that impressed but also his creativity as he created 45 Chances and 8 Big Chances. He was a great value asset and even with a price increase of £1.5m he is till good value.
Despite the signing of Danny Ings (£8.0m) it seems Watkins will still be played as a centre forward and will still be nailed in the starting 11. His manager Dean Smith had this to say regarding his position:
‘’Watkins hasn't played wide for a couple of years. I didn't bring him in to play there. He scored 26 goals for Brentford playing as a centre-forward in the Championship &amp; came to us &amp; got 16 goals also as a centre-forward - so no, I don't envisage him out there."
His impressive season saw him score a hattrick against Liverpool and he also registered attacking returns against the likes of Arsenal, Spurs and Manchester City so it's not a surprise Smith doesn’t plan to change his position.
Villa have great fixtures to start the season and they kick off with a game against promoted Watford in Gameweek 1. With their attackers they should be too strong for the Hornets and with Ollie as the main man up front he should get a fair few chances.

<h3>Michail Antonio (£7.5m) – West Ham United</h3>
Fixture: Newcastle United (a)
The West Ham striker is one of the best FPL assets in the game when fit. His stats are also up there at premium level so if he manages to avoid injury he can be an absolute steal at £7.5m. Unfortunately, though his career has been plagued with injuries.
He scored 10 goals and made five assists last season in only 24 starts with 63 Shots, 25 Shots on Target, 51 Shots in the Box and 19 Big Chances, whilst also creating 27 Chances and three Big Chances.
Antonio still finished the season as the Hammers’ top goal scorer despite his limited game time. Five of his goals were against opposition such as Manchester City, Arsenal, Leicester City and Spurs. When is he is fit, he is one of the best forwards in the Premier League.
West Ham’s have a very enticing opening fixture in Gameweek 1 against Steve Bruce’s Newcastle United. Last season the Toon conceded 350 Shots in the Box (17th), 194 Shots on Target (17th) and conceded 62 goals (16th).

<h3>Dominic Calvert-Lewin (£8.0m) – Everton</h3>
Fixture: Southampton (H)
The Everton forward scored 16 goals and made 6 assists in 32 starts last season. He also registered 83 Shots, 46 Shots on Target (5th), 72 Shots in the Box (7th), and 31 Big Chances (3rd).
He is undoubtedly nailed in his position and is the best attacking option for the Toffees and his stats are up there with the best in the game.
I can see Calvert-Lewin having another great season under new manager Rafa Benitez and can see Benitez playing him up top in his most favoured position and the one where he gets the most FPL points.
I really like Everton’s Gameweek 1 fixture against Southampton. The Saints were one of the worst defensive teams last season conceding 68 goals (19th) and 85 Big Chances (16th).
Also, our <a href="https://cms.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/fixture-ticker/">advanced Fixture Ticker</a> ranks this game as the second best from an attacking point of view. There are a few doubts around his availability in Gameweek 1 due to a toe injury so he is one to keep an eye on.
Calvert-Lewin got off to a great start last season, scoring 10 goals in his first nine games and his Gamweek 1 match gives him another opportunity to start off in a similar fashion. Our <a href="https://cms.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/predictions/">Points Prediciton Tool</a> ranks him at 57% for anytime returns also.

<h3>Callum Wilson (£7.5m) – Newcastle United</h3>
Fixture: West Ham United
Callum Wilson is also a good option for Gameweek 1. He finished as the 9th highest scoring forward in the game despite starting only 23 games – scoring 12 goals 6 assists.
Wilson missed 11 games through injury but remains the talisman for Newcastle United and their number <a href="https://cms.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/premier-league-set-piece-takers/">one penalty taker</a>. He also had a Goal Involvement of 51% for the Toon so is clearly an integral player in their attack.
If he stays fit he will no doubt end the season as Newcastle's top scorer again and will provide great value for £7.5m. He is not only a goal scorer but can assist too.
Last season he registered 49 Shots, 20 Shots on Target, 44 Shots in the Box and 21 Big Chances while also creating 18 Chances and 4 Big Chances.
His Gameweek 1 fixture against West Ham isn’t an easy one but with Wilson being their talisman if Newcastle do score he is likely to be involved. Also, it’s a home game so that swings the odds in his favour just that little bit more.

<h3>Jamie Vardy (£10.5m) – Leicester City</h3>
Fixture: Wolves (H)
Jamie Vardy had a bit of a decline in his goal scoring last season but he did still provide a decent FPL asset.
He managed to score 15 goals and 14 assists with 38 Shots on Target, 76 Shots in the Box (6th) and 35 Big Chances (1st). He also created 28 Chances and 9 Big Chances so seems to have upped his creativity.
The English forward has been a reliable FPL option for six seasons now scoring 113 goals and 44 assists. From various news outlets and sources, it has been rumoured that Vardy will definitely start the Gameweek 1 match against Wolves and his teammate Kelechi Iheanacho (£7.5m) will be benched so I think that makes him a great option for this Gameweek.
Leicester City were one of the best attacking teams in the league last season – scoring 68 goals (3rd), with 86 Big Chances (5th) and Vardy will likely play centre forward and he also is the number <a href="https://cms.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/premier-league-set-piece-takers/">one penalty taker.</a>
