<h2>Bakar's best Gameweek 1 FPL team</h2>
<p>Here are my selections:</p>

<h3><strong>André Onana (£5.0m)</strong></h3>
<p>Priced at just £5.0m, Onana offers an affordable avenue into Manchester United's defence this season.</p>
<p>During the 2022/23 season, Onana exhibited a superior save percentage compared to De Gea, and maintained an average of 36.5 passes per game.</p>
<p>Should this trend persist, he could become a significant source of bonus points in the league, consistently surpassing the bonus threshold.</p>
<p>Additionally, Manchester United ranked in the middle of the table for shots conceded from outside the box, a factor that can enhance Onana's potential for making saves.</p>
<p>Having secured the highest number of clean sheets in the previous season, if Manchester United can maintain a similar performance level, having Onana in your team appears to be an excellent bargain.</p>
<p>Manchester United were defensively strong at home last season while Wolves were 19th for overall goals scored away. They might be without a manager in Gameweek 1 too, which won't help their chances.</p>

<h3>Gabriel (£5.0m)</h3>
<p>I expect Arsenal to kick off the season strongly due to their favourable fixtures and the positive influence of their newly signed players.</p>
<p>The team has a tendency to perform well when the pressure is less intense, and they are entering the season with a notable sense of optimism.</p>
<p>The return of Saliba from injury at the beginning of the season is set to provide a significant boost to their defensive prowess.</p>
<p>Among the Arsenal defenders, Gabriel is my preferred choice, as he has the highest goal threat.</p>
<p>Last season, he ranked second in expected goals (xG) among defenders, and it's worth noting that Nottingham Forest showed vulnerability in conceding substantial xG from set pieces.</p>
<p>Anticipating a clean sheet is reasonable, considering that Nottingham Forest scored the fewest away goals among all teams in the league during the past season.</p>

<h3>Pervis Estupinan (£5.0m)</h3>
<p>Since Roberto De Zerbi took charge last season, Estupinan ranks among the top five defenders in terms of shots inside the box and expected assists (xA).</p>
<p>Statistically, Brighton conceded the third-lowest non-penalty xG during that period.</p>
<p>Luton were ranked 8th for xG in the Championship last season, so are expected to struggle when it comes to breaching Premier League quality defences.</p>

<h3>John Stones (£5.5m)</h3>
<p>At the time of writing, Stones looks like arguably the most secure pick in the Man City defence.</p>
<p>Manchester City were unlucky in terms of the number of clean sheets they recorded last season - they were ranked best for xG conceded and big chances conceded, yet seemed to concede the odd goal in almost every other game.</p>
<p>They go into Gameweek 1 as the bookmakers favourites for a clean sheet out of all teams in the league.</p>
<p>Stones has some attacking potential as well, especially if he inverts into midfield:</p>
