<h2>Who are the Best FPL Midfielders For Double Gameweek 22?</h2>
<h3>James Maddison (£6.9m) – Leicester City</h3>
Fixture: Burnley (a) &amp; Spurs (H)
James Maddison has had a really impressive second half of the season. At the time of writing, he has five goals and five assists with four double-digit hauls in his last six games. He has 16 Shots in the Box with an xG of 3.99 and has also created 24 Chances with an xA of 3.31.
He has clearly been playing a lot more forward recently and his average position map shows him as part of the front three, sometimes even playing as the most advanced. His five goals have come in the last 10 games.
Leicester City play Burnley (a) and Spurs (H) in Double Gameweek 22. Although both teams don’t concede a whole lot of goals the Foxes are really good going forward. They have scored 31 goals (6th) with an xG of 27.0 (9th) and have already scored against the likes of Manchester United, Man City and Liverpool.
Maddison also appeals as he is on a lot of <a href="https://cms.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/?post_type=post&amp;p=11173">set pieces with corners and direct free kicks</a> so will always have chances of attacking returns even against the tougher opponents. Also with injuries to Jamie Vardy, and Kelechi Iheanacho away to AFCON he will very likely be playing advanced again.
Our <a href="https://cms.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/predictions/">Price Prediction Tool</a> has him at 63% for anytime returns for Double Gameweek 22 also.

<h3>Diogo Jota (£8.2m) – Liverpool</h3>
Fixture: Brentford (H)
Diogo Jota has so far amassed an impressive 10 goals and two assists in 16 starts. He has 47 Shots in the Box (3rd), with an xG of 9.33 (3rd) and has also created 29 Chances with an xA of 4.71 (7th).
He has been fantastic value this season and with Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane away to AFCON he will be nailed to start and will be Liverpool’s most likely source of goals.
Jurgen Klopp's men don’t have a double in Gameweek 22 but they do have a very kind fixture in Brentford (H). The Bees have conceded 23 goals (8th) with an xGC of 25.2 (7th) so have been okay at the back especially considering they are a promoted team.
However, it’s Liverpool’s attack which will simply be too good for them in my opinion. They have scored 52 goals (2nd) with an xG of 50.3 (1st). Even with Salah and Mane not in the squad, I don’t see them struggling too much especially with Jota on the pitch who is more than capable of filling the void.
The Reds are also the favourites to score 2.5+ goals (45%) in Double Gameweek 22.
They will no doubt get chances in this game and Jota is the most likely to get the attacking returns. He is actually the second favourite to score at anytime (50%) according to the bookmakers and is also the highest predicted points scorer (6.2) from the midfielders who have a single Gameweek.

<h3>Mason Mount (£7.7m) – Chelsea</h3>
Fixture: Manchester City (a) &amp; Brighton (a)
Mason Mount has seven goals and six assists this season, already matching his best attacking returns total in the 2019-20 season. He has 25 Shots in the Box with an xG of 5.75 (7th amongst midfielders) and has also created 35 Chances with an xA of 4.34 (9th amongst midfielders).
The England international is on <a href="https://cms.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/?post_type=post&amp;p=11173">corners and free-kicks</a> also and he has shown a lot more goal threat this season to add to his assists.
Chelsea play Manchester City (a) and Brighton (a) in Double Gameweek 22. This isn’t the easiest of doubles for the Blues especially the game against City who have by far the best defence in the league with only 13 goals conceded (1st) with an xGC of 11.0 (1st).
Brighton are also among the top seven defensive teams. The Seagulls have conceded 20 goals (5th) with an xGC of 25.0 (6th).
However, Chelsea are a good side going forward and you wouldn’t be surprised with them coming away with a result in both these games. A result against City will be tough but they will be strong favourites against Brighton.
The Blues have scored 45 goals (3rd) with an xG of 41.5 (3rd) and they now have their best forward Romelu Lukaku back which will give Mount more options going forward.
Plus with Mason on so many<a href="https://cms.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/?post_type=post&amp;p=11173"> set-pieces</a> he can pick up attacking returns in any game really.
It’s clear he has stepped up a gear in terms of scoring as we can see this in his underlying numbers and Mount is actually Chelsea’s current top goalscorer also.

<h3>Lucas Moura (£6.5m) – Spurs</h3>
Fixture: Arsenal (H) &amp; Leicester City (a)
Lucas Moura has two goals and three assists for Spurs this season in 14 starts. He has scored two goals two assists since Gameweek 11 when Antonio Conte took the reins and picked up those returns playing the in front three.
With Heung-Min Son out injured he is very likely to start both games in Double Gameweek 22 and also likely to play further forward also. His average position maps in the last few games show him as one of the most advanced players alongside Kane and Son.
Tottenham Hotspur have a Double fixture in Gameweek 22 as they take on Arsenal (H) and Leicester City (a).
The Gunners have actually been decent defensively conceding only 25 goals (6th) with an xGC of 28.9 (8th). However with Spurs being at home and this being a North London Derby I can see goals in this game. Arsenal won't sit back and look for a draw and this suits Spurs' fast-paced counter attacking style.
Spurs’ second game against the Foxes is another one I can see a few goals in, to be honest and mainly due to Leicester’s poor defence. They have conceded 33 goals (17th) with an xGC of 32.8 (16th) which ranks them as one of the worst defences in the league.
Moura has proven already this season he has got a haul in him and can pick up attacking returns in the system and formation Conte plays. He has 16 Shots in the Box with an xG of 2.41 and has also created 28 Chances with an xA of 3.62.
He could be the perfect differential for those playing the <a href="https://cms.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/what-is-the-free-hit-chip-in-fpl-and-how-can-we-use-it/">Free Hit chip</a> this week and don’t want to take a punt of bringing him in long term.

<h3>Leandro Trossard (£6.1m) – Brighton</h3>
Fixture: Crystal Palace (H) &amp; Chelsea (H)
Leandro Trossard has four goals and one assist this season. His stats have been impressive with 23 Shots in the Box with an xG of 4.46. He has also created 27 Chances with an xA of 2.69.
The Belgian has been deployed predominantly as a forward this season and seems to be thriving in that role. His goal threat is also much higher this season compared to previous due to his positional change.
Brighton face Crystal Palace (H) and Chelsea (H) in Double Gameweek 22. Palace have conceded 30 goals (15th) with an xGC of 25.0 (6th). Chelsea have only conceded 16 goals (3rd) with an xGC of 23.5 (4th). Although they have been quite leaky lately, not managing to keep a clean sheet in their last nine league games and conceding 12 goals also.
The Seagulls have struggled largely in front of goal this season. They have only managed 20 goals (16th) with an xG of 23.3 (13th). However with two home games and one against Palace who Brighton will be favourites against I really like Trossard as an option.
He is playing OOP (out of position) and scoring well. He is also at a very attractive price of only £6.1m so will be a great option for those playing the <a href="https://cms.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/what-is-the-free-hit-chip-in-fpl-and-how-can-we-use-it/">Free Hit</a> this week.
