<h2 style="text-align: left;">The Best FPL Midfielders for Double Gameweek 31</h2>

Raphinha (£6.5m) – Leeds United</strong></h3>
<p><strong>Fixture: Southampton (H)</strong></p>
<p><strong>Raphinha</strong> has been a frustrating player for his owners this season. He has nine goals and three assists and at a price of only £6.5m, that's good going. However, he could've and should've had so many more returns. The Brazilian has hit the woodwork more than any other player (6) this campaign. He has registered an xG of 7.50 and an xA of 6.90.</p>
<p>Leeds United have a decent game from an attacking perspective in Double Gameweek 31. They come up against Southampton who have conceded 45 goals (14<sup>th</sup>) with an xGC of 46.4 (15<sup>th</sup>). This puts them in the bottom half of the table when it comes to defence, so despite Leeds' poor season, I can see them scoring here.</p>
<p>The Whites haven't been as good as last season in the final third but they have scored 34 goals (12<sup>th</sup>) with an xG of 42.1 (9<sup>th</sup>) which bodes well for them this gameweek. They will be favourites to win this one.</p>
<p>Raphinha piled more sorrow on his owners when he missed out on Blank Gameweek 30 due to COVID. However, that meant that he didn’t travel to Brazil for international duty which means he should definitely start against the Saints. There won't be any late traveling back from South America.</p>
<p>He has by far the highest Goal Involvement (40%) from the Leeds team and is on almost all set-pieces, including corners, free kicks and penalties.</p>

<h3><strong>Heung-Min Son (£10.8m) – Spurs</strong></h3>
<p><strong>Fixture: Newcastle United (H)</strong></p>
<p><strong>Heung-Min Son</strong> put any doubt about his status as an FPL asset to bed last Gameweek with a sublime performance and brace. He now has 13 goals and seven assists with an xG of 11.30 (4<sup>th</sup> among midfielders) and an xA of 6.75 (5<sup>th</sup> amongst midfielders).</p>
<p>The South Korean and Spurs welcome Newcastle United to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in Double Gameweek 31. The Toon have conceded 49 goals (17<sup>th</sup>) with an xGC of 49.4 (17<sup>th</sup>) and although they are a much better side than they were at the start of the season, they do still concede chances and goals.</p>
<p>Also, Spurs have scored 47 goals (6<sup>th</sup>) with an xG of 51.8 (3<sup>rd</sup>) so actually have been one of the best attacking sides in the league. That’s mainly down to Son and teammate <strong>Harry Kane</strong>. I am expecting a convincing win here for the North London club and Son is surely going to get chances in this game, especially with Kane on the pitch.</p>

What I also like about the Spurs forward in this match-up is that he is on corners and Newcastle have conceded the 5<sup>th </sup>most headed attempts (68) this season.</p>

<p><strong>Fixture: Watford (H)</strong></p>
<p><strong>Mohamed Salah</strong> now has 20 goals and 11 assists with an xG of 21.60 (1<sup>st</sup>) and an xA of 10.49 (1<sup>st</sup>). I don’t need to tell you about how good he has been this season but he may actually have a chance of beating his record 303 points total in the 2017-18 season. The Egyptian has been one of the best and most consistent players in the world this season.</p>
<p>Liverpool have a <a href="https://cms.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/fixture-ticker/">very kind fixture</a> in Double Gameweek 31 as they welcome Watford to Anfield. This looks like it could be a very long night for the Hornets as they come up against the best attacking side in the league.</p>
<p>The Reds have scored 75 goals (1<sup>st</sup>) with an xG of 75.8 (1<sup>st</sup>). Roy Hodgson’s side, on the other hand, have conceded 55 goals (18<sup>th</sup>) with an xGC of 48.5 (16<sup>th</sup>) and Liverpool are also second favourites to score 2.5+ goals (54%) according the bookmakers.</p>
<p>Everything points towards a big win here and Salah is sure to be heavily involved as usual.</p>
<p>Salah is in the form of his life at the moment and his underlying numbers have been simply outrageous. Despite only having a single fixture this week I still wouldn’t look past him for the captaincy.</p>

<h3><strong>Bruno Fernandes (£11.7m) – Manchester United</strong></h3>
<p><strong>Fixture: Leicester City (H)</strong></p>
<p>The Portuguese has nine goals and six assists this season with an xG of 7.41. He has also created 90 chances with an xA of 9.22 (3<sup>rd</sup> overall). He hasn’t been as good an FPL asset as last season but we have seen that he is still capable of big hauls and owning him at the right time could pay off.</p>
<p>Manchester United have a good fixture attacking-wise in Double Gameweek 31 as they come up against Leicester City. The Foxes have conceded 46 goals (15<sup>th</sup>) with an xGC of 51.0 (18<sup>th</sup>) which makes them one of the league's worst defences. Only Norwich and Leeds have a worse xGC than them this season.</p>
<p>United have had a poor season by their standards but they have been good in the final third and I don’t see Leicester keeping them at bay. They have scored 48 goals (5<sup>th</sup>) with an xG of 49.3 (5<sup>th</sup>) and with the attacking players the Red Devils possess, they will be strong favourites for this one.</p>
<p><strong>Bruno</strong> <strong>Fernandes</strong> can both score and assist and is also on a fair few set-pieces. I can see this game being quite open from both ends and Bruno will get plenty of chances to score and assist.</p>
<p>Leicester are also another side who are poor from set-pieces. They have conceded 85 (20<sup>th</sup>) shots from headers and 31 (18<sup>th</sup>) shots from set-pieces which bodes really well for Fernandes.</p>

<p><strong>Kevin De Bruyne</strong> has been phenomenal since coming back from injury. Since his return (Gameweek 15) he has seven goals and three assists. Over the season he has scored nine goals and has an xG of 4.79 while also created 66 Chances with an xA of 7.06.</p>
<p>Manchester City have a <a href="https://cms.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/fixture-ticker/">very kind fixture</a> in Double Gameweek 31 as they take on a struggling Burnley team. The Clarets have conceded 38 goals (7<sup>th</sup>) with an xGC of 43.0 (11<sup>th</sup>). They don’t concede a huge amount of goals however City’s attack will just be too strong in my opinion.</p>
<p>The Citizens are behind only Liverpool when it comes to attack. They have scored 68 goals (2<sup>nd</sup>) with an xG of 68.9 (2<sup>nd</sup>). We have seen this season and previous that they are capable of hitting 4+ goals against teams and have already done so eight times this season (1<sup>st</sup>).</p>
<p>The Belgian is one of the best FPL assets in the game when he is fit and he also looks to be the pick of the City midfielders right now also. He has started 11 out of the last 12 matches and I am confident he starts this one too. He actually has the highest Goal Involvement (26%) in his side.</p>
