<h2>Who are the Best FPL Midfielders For Gameweek 12?</h2>

Mohamed Salah (£13.1m) – Liverpool</h3>
Fixture: Arsenal (H)
Mohamed Salah has now gone nine games in a row with an attacking return. He has only blanked once this season. Although he hasn’t scored in the last two his stats still suggest that it's nothing to worry about and in my opinion, he is still the perma-captain of choice.
The Liverpool forward has 10 goals and 8 assists with 36 Shots in the Box (1st), 24 Shots on Target (1st), 12 Big Chances (1st) and an xG of 8.8.27 (1st). He has also created 7 Big Chances (1st) with an xA of 4.5.12 (1st). No player comes close to him this season in terms of underlying numbers or output.
The Reds have a home game against Arsenal in Gameweek 12. The Gunners have really improved defensively after their first three games of the season. They have an xGC of 16.0 (13th) over the season, but since Gameweek 4 their xGC is 8.3 (2nd).
However, this Liverpool team is very attacking and is putting up some highly impressive numbers. They have scored 31 goals (1st), with 143 Shots in the Box (1st), 78 Shots on Target (1st) and an xG of 28.0 (1st).
They are actually by far the best team going forward and couple that with Mo Salah’s record-breaking form and I really can’t see Arsenal causing Liverpool any problems here. The bookies also have Liverpool as the third favaourites (35%) to score 2.5+ goals.
Furthermore, Mohamed Salah is the favourite to score anytime this week (56%) and our <a href="https://cms.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/predictions/">Points Prediction Tool</a> also ranks him fourth for predicted points (6.4) for Gameweek 12.

<h3>Heung-Min Son (£10.3m) – Spurs</h3>
Fixture: Leeds United (H)
Heung-Min Son registered a blank yet again last gameweek in another uninspiring Spurs performance. It was Antonio Conte’s first game in charge in the league though, so maybe it was to be expected. I do feel Son will be a much better option now as I can only see the North London club improving under their new Italian manager.
Despite three blank’s in a row for the South Korean he still has four goals and two assists with 13 Shots in the Box, 6 Big Chances and an xG of 3.63. He has also created 18 Chances with an xA of 1.33.
Spurs host Leeds United in Gameweek 12. Marcelo Bielsa’s men have conceded 18 goals (16th), 105 Shots in the Box (15th) and an xGC of 16.9 (15th). This game looks to have goals in it on paper, and I can really see Son benefitting with his pace on the break against a very attacking Leeds team.
Also with Conte’s track record, he will surely get this Spurs team playing well and scoring again especially with the fixtures they have coming up in the short term. Son and teammate Harry Kane (£12.1m) are the two main scorers and talismen in that team and I don’t see this changing under Conte.
In fact, so far the forward has been the only shining light in Spurs' poor season and he has a fantastic fixture here to get some more attacking returns. He is at 43% to score anytime according to the bookmakers and our <a href="https://cms.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/predictions/">Points Prediction Tool</a> also ranks him as the second highest predicted scorer (6.9 points) overall. He ranks first amongst midfielders for Gameweek 12.

<h3>Phil Foden (£8.3m) – Manchester City</h3>
Fixture: Everton (H)
Phil Foden is having a great season for Manchester City thus far and has become their most important player. He has started the last six league games accumulating three goals and two assists.
He has mostly played as a false 9 but also played out on the left last gameweek which surely improves his starting chances going forward too. He was also played there in Gameweek 7 against Liverpool and scored. Clearly he can be effective in both positions.
The England international has 14 Shots in the Box, 9 Shots on Target, an xG of 2.88 and an xA of 2.13. At only £8.3m he looks fantastic value.
Manchester City face Everton (H) in Gameweek 12 and I can see this being another routine win for the Blues. The Toffees have conceded 16 goals (14th) with an xGC of 15.3 (9th).
City on the other hand are only bettered by Liverpool when it comes to attack. They have scored 22 goals (4th) with 62 Shots on Target (2nd), 138 Shots in the Box (2nd) and an xG of 22.3 (2nd).
They will very likely be in the top three when it comes to goals scored this season. The bookmakers have City as the favourites to score 2.5+ goals (49%) for Gameweek 12.
They also have Phil Foden as the second favourite midfielder to score at anytime (44%) and our <a href="https://cms.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/predictions/">Points Prediction Tool</a> also has him at 52% for anytime returns.

<h3>Diogo Jota (£7.5m) - Liverpool</h3>
Fixture: Arsenal (H)
The Liverpool forward has four goals and one assist in only eight starts this season. With Roberto Firmino injured he has to come back on our radars as a top priority. A £7.5m midfielder in FPL, he is playing as the number 9 in the most attacking team in the league.
He has accumulated 18 Shots in the Box, 9 Shots on Target with an xG of 3.83 and he has also created 4 Big Chances with an xA of 2.80.
His per 90 stats are up there with the premium options and with him now being nailed for the foreseeable future he is one of the best options in the game.
He’s is clearly underpriced and the fact he wasn’t nailed was the only reason he wasn’t considered in more FPL teams.
He has a good fixture this week in Arsenal at home. As mentioned earlier Liverpool’s attacking stats are the best in the league and he is their number 9. When he is nailed he should simply be in our teams.
The bookmakers also fancy him and have given him a 42% chance to score anytime.

<h3>Conor Gallagher (£5.8m) – Crystal Palace</h3>
Fixture: Burnley (a)
Conor Gallagher has had a fantastic start to the season. The Chelsea loanee has four goals and four assists in 10 starts for Crystal Palace and he is also putting up some impressive stats.
He has 15 Shots in the Box, 10 Shots on Target an an xG of 3.88 while also creating 18 Chances with an xA of 2.43. He has been by far the best budget midfielder and looks an absolute steal at £5.8m.
Crystal Palace play Burnley (a) in Gameweek 12. The Clarets have been really poor this season as they sit third bottom of the league and are well and truly in the relegation battle. They have conceded 17 goals (15th), 125 Shots in the Box (20th), 54 Shots on Target (17th) and an xGC of 19.4 (18th).
The Eagles on the other hand have been mightily impressive and one of the surprise packages of the season. Patrick Viera’s men have scored 15 goals (7th) with an xG of 14 (12th). They currently sit 12th in the league.
Gallagher has been their top performer this season with the most points and also joint top scorer with Wilfried Zaha (£7.0m). He also has the best underlying numbers when it comes to goal and assist threat in his team.
I am confident he will continue to score well throughout the season especially in relation to his price. He has a fantastic fixture against a leaky Burnley for Gameweek 12 also.
