<h2>Best FPL Midfielders For Gameweek 9</h2>

<h3>Heung-Min Son (£10.1m) – Spurs</h3>
Fixture: West Ham United (a)
Heung-Min Son has now registered an impressive four goals and two assists in his first seven starts.
He is now the second highest scoring midfielder (51 points) in the game and even has three double-digit hauls.
The South Korean has 11 Shots in the Box, 4 Big Chances and an xG of 2.85. Son has also created 14 Chances with an xA of 1.10.
Tottenham Hotspur play London rivals West Ham United in Gameweek 9. The Hammers have actually been putting up decent defensive stats.
They have only conceded 10 goals (7th) with an xGC of with an xGC of 10 (7th).
However, Spurs look a completely different side and have now scored five goals in their last two outings.
Son was scoring well even when Tottenham well playing poorly. I expect his output to increase even further now that they have clicked into gear.
With Harry Kane back amongst the goals too, this is surely only good news for his partner in crime.
The South Korean currently has a Goal Involvement of 67% and has been their most integral player this season.
With Son also on <a href="https://cms.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/premier-league-set-piece-takers/">corners and free-kicks</a>, I feel he is a great option this week despite the tricky fixture.
The Spurs forward is ranked as the third highest predicted scorer (5.5) amongst midfielders according to our <a href="https://cms.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/predictions/">Prediction Tool</a> for Gameweek 9. He is also at 53% to return anytime.

<h3>Raphinha (£6.6m) – Leeds United</h3>
Fixture: Wolves (H)
Raphinha has three goals in his first seven starts for Leeds this season. He missed out last Gameweek due to returning late from international duty. Yet he will most certainly start in Gameweek 9.
The Brazil international has 24 Shots, 7 Shots on Target, 7 Shots in the Box with an xG of 1.88. He has also created 14 Chances, 2 Big Chances and an xA of 1.66.
His stats show considerable goal and assist threat as well as his excellent value at £6.6m.
Leeds United play Wolves at home in Gameweek 9. The Whites haven’t lived up to the expectations of last season but they have been a tad unfortunate not to have scored more goals.
Marcelo Bielsa's side have notched 7 goals with an xG of 9.1. They are still playing in their usual attacking manner so will always create chances.
At the moment, Raphinha has looked their best player by some distance. He even scored a brace for Brazil in the last international break against Uruguay.
Leeds' defeat to Southampton showed how much he was missed and the absence of Patrick Bamford won't help either.
Despite this, I feel confident in Leeds at home this week. Raphinha looks to be the one pulling the strings and is the one player who can change the game in an instant.
He has been involved in half of Leeds’s goals this season in the games he has played.
With Raphinha being on<a href="https://cms.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/premier-league-set-piece-takers/">corners and free-kicks</a>, he will always be in with a chance of attacking returns.

<h3>Mohamed Salah (£12.7m) – Liverpool</h3>
Fixture: Manchester United (a)
Mohamed Salah continued his scintillating form with a goal and assist against Watford last week.
There are simply not enough accolades to describe how good he has been this season. He has five double-digit hauls in his first eight games and has only blanked in one game so far.
The Egyptian has recorded seven goals and five assists. Unsurprisingly, he is the highest scoring player in the game (83 points), a whopping 27 points ahead of second-placed Jamie Vardy.
His stats have been incredible too. Salah has registered 27 Shots in the Box (1st), 19 Shots on Target  (1st), 8 Big Chances (2nd) and an xG of 6.14 (1st).
He has also created 5 Big Chances (1st) with an xA of 3.78 (1st). Quite frankly, no one is on his level right now and he is essential to our FPL teams.
Liverpool face Manchester United away in Gameweek 9. Although this isn’t the easiest of fixtures for the Reds, Salah and Liverpool are just in too good form right now. Conversely, fierce rivals United have been really poor at the back.
Jurgen Klopp’s men top the table for attacking metrics also. They have the most Shots in the Box (113), Shots on Target (62), Big Chances (31), xG (21.8) and goals scored (22).
On the other hand, Man United have only kept one clean sheet while conceding 10 goals (14th) and an xGC of 11.3 (11th).
Despite an away game at Old Trafford, Salah is still the second favourite midfielder to score at anytime according to the bookmakers at 42%.

<h3>Kevin De Bruyne (£11.9m) – Manchester City</h3>
Fixture: Brighton (a)
Kevin De Bruyne has now scored two goals in his last two league games. Since returning back from injury, he has been posting some good stats.
He has 7 Shots in the Box with an xG of 0.67 while creating Big Chances (1st) with an xA of 1.70 (3rd).
Manchester City face Brighton away from home in Gameweek 9. The Seagulls are a good defensive side and have kept 4 clean sheets (3rd) with an xGC of 8.5 (3rd).
However, City are one of the best attacking sides in the league and I don’t see Graham Potter's men keeping them at bay here.
Pep Guardiola's team have scored 16 goals (2nd), with 98 Shots in the Box (2nd) and an xG of 16.1 (2nd).
They are capable of scoring big against any team in the league as they have proven in the past.
City are the second favourites to score 2.5+ goals (43%) in Gameweek 9 according to the bookmakers.
With De Bruyne back, they are a much better side because he is the main playmaker who can score and assist from midfield.
He is also on <a href="https://cms.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/premier-league-set-piece-takers/">corners and most free-kicks</a> which increases his chance of attacking returns even further.
Our <a href="https://cms.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/predictions/">Points Prediction Tool</a> ranks him as the third highest scoring midfielder for Gameweek 9 at 5.5 points. He is also at 55% for anytime returns.

<h3>Bryan Mbeumo (£5.5m) – Brentford</h3>
Fixture: Leicester City (H)
Bryan Mbeumo has adapted well to life in the Premier League. He has two goals so far and has been unfortunate not to have scored a lot more.
The Frenchman has hit the woodwork a record 6 times so far. He is also an OOP (out of position) player as he is playing up top but is classified as a midfielder in FPL. This is a big plus for Fantasy managers.
Mbeumo has 13 Shots in the Box, 4 Shots on Target, and an xG of 2.33. He has also created 8 Chances with an xA of 0.72.
Brentford host Leicester City in Gameweek 9 and I see this as a favourable fixture for the Bees.
Brendan Rodgers' side have conceded 86 Shots on the Box (20th), 14 goals (17th) with an xGC of 11.9 (13th). As discussed in last week's article for <a href="https://cms.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/best-fpl-forwards-for-gameweek-8-fantasy-premier-league-tips/">best forwards</a>, the Foxes are susceptible defensively.
Thomas Frank’s men have been a joy to watch this season as they attack with a real intensity in every game.
They have scored 10 goals (6th) with an xG of 11.3 (8th). Considering they have played Chelsea, West Ham, Liverpool and Wolves in the last four games, their stats are genuinely impressive.
They now have a really kind run of fixtures coming up starting with Leicester.
Moreover, Mbuemo is at a really attractive price point of £5.5m. He is also on <a href="https://cms.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/premier-league-set-piece-takers/">direct free-kicks and corners</a>.
