<h2 style="text-align: left;">The Best FPL Midfielders for Double Gameweek 36</h2>
<h3><strong><br />
Phil Foden (£7.8m) – Manchester City</strong></h3>
<p><strong>Fixtures: Newcastle United (H) and Wolves (s)</strong></p>
<p><strong>Phil Foden</strong> now has eight goals and six assists in just 18 starts. He has registered an xG of 7.31, and created 47 Chances with an xA of 7.29. He does look like the best value Manchester City midfielder and should now start most, if not all the remaining league games.</p>
<p>City have a fantastic double in Gameweek 36. They welcome Newcastle United to the Etihad, and then play Wolves away. The Toon have conceded 56 goals (16<sup>th</sup>) with an xGC of 57.2 (15<sup>th</sup>). Wolves on the other hand have been much better at the back only letting in 32 goals (4<sup>th</sup>) with an xGC of 49.3 (10<sup>th</sup>).</p>
<p>However, City are just too strong going forward and I can't see any of these teams causing them any problems. They have scored 84 goals (2<sup>nd</sup>) with an xG of 79.2 (2<sup>nd</sup>). They have also shown on numerous occasions this season that they can score 3+ goals without any bother.</p>
<p>The bookmakers also have them at favourites to score 2.5+ goals (55%) in their first fixture against Newcastle and at 43% against Bruno Lage’s side.</p>
<p>Foden clearly is now an integral part of Pep Guardiola’s squad and one of the first names on the team sheet when fit. I also like the fact he is at a very attractive price point of £7.8m, and that makes him a great value asset. He can play in multiple positions such as centre forward and on the left, and gets attacking returns from both spots.</p>
<p>He also takes a lot of set pieces including corners, so has both goal and assist threat.</p>

<h3><strong>Mohamed Salah (£13.3m) – Liverpool</strong></h3>
<p><strong>Fixtures: Spurs (H) and Aston Villa (a)</strong></p>
<p><strong>Mohamed Salah</strong> now has an incredible 22 goals and 14 assists with an xG of 22.88 (1<sup>st</sup>) and an xA of 12.60 (1<sup>st</sup>). The <strong>Egyptian</strong> was unexpectedly benched last Gameweek against Newcastle United, but this now means he should be good to start the remaining league fixtures.</p>
<p>Liverpool don’t have the best double in Gameweek 36 on paper. However much like title rivals Manchester City, they are phenomenal in the final third. They have scored 86 goals (1<sup>st</sup>) which is already 18 more than they scored at in the whole of last season, and they have an xG of 85.3 (1<sup>st</sup>).</p>
<p>Unsurprisingly they are the second favourites to score 2.5+ goals in both their fixtures – 41% against Spurs and 46% against Aston Villa.</p>
<p>Mohamed Salah has been vital to them this season, and will continue to be crucial as the season closes to an end. They are in a very tight title race, and on a personal level, Salah will want to finish as the top goal scorer. He currently leads the pack with 22, but Heung-min Son is only three behind now.</p>
<p>He is also the highest predicted scoring midfielder (10.4 points) according to our <a href="https://www.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/predictions"><strong>Points Prediction Tool</strong></a> despite the tough-ish fixtures.</p>

<h3><strong>Heung-Min Son (£11.0m) – Spurs</strong></h3>
<p><strong>Fixtures: Liverpool (a) and Arsenal (H)</strong></p>
<p><strong>Heung-Min Son</strong> now has an incredible 19 goals and nine assists and is by far having his best season yet. He has an xG of 13.81 (4<sup>th</sup> amongst midfielders) and has created 72 Chances with an xA of 8.29 (3<sup>rd</sup> amongst midfielders). The South Korean has shown over his career he is one of the best finishers in the world.</p>
<p>Tottenham Hotspur also have quite a tough double in Gameweek 36. They play Liverpool (a) and Arsenal (H) and although these games won't be easy, we could well still see goals in these fixtures.</p>
<p>Spurs have had no problems going forward and are more than capable of scoring against the best defences.</p>
<p>The Reds have been the second best defence in the league and Arsenal are also a solid defensive side. They have conceded 41 goals (6<sup>th</sup>) with an xG of 43.3 (6<sup>th</sup>).</p>
<p>However, Tottenham have scored 59 goals (4<sup>th</sup>) with an xG of 58.9 (4<sup>th</sup>) and have already scored two and three goals respectively against Liverpool and Manchester City this campaign - who are the two best defences in the league.</p>
<p>Son’s stats and output this season have been amazing, and he also scored in the reverse fixture against the Reds. With the Arsenal game being at home, Spurs will be slight favourites.</p>
<p>The Tottenham forward also has an impressive Goal Involvement of 50% (3<sup>rd</sup> overall) this season.</p>

<h3><strong>Bukayo Saka (£6.7m) – Arsenal</strong></h3>
<p><strong>Fixtures: Leeds United (H) and Spurs (a)</strong></p>
<p><strong>Bukayo Saka</strong> is another player enjoying his best season to date. He has 11 goals and eight assists, and is the fourth highest scoring midfielder in the game at a starting price of just £6.5m. He has an xG of 9.49, creating 74 Chances with an xA of 8.01.</p>
<p>I really like Arsenal’s double in Gameweek 36. Both fixtures have potential for goals, as they take on Leeds United (H) and Spurs (a).</p>
<p>The standout game here FPL-wise is of course against Leeds, who have conceded 72 goals (20<sup>th</sup>) with an xGC of 65.7 (19<sup>th</sup>). This is one of the best fixtures of the season for the Gunners.</p>
<p>Also with both Arsenal and Spurs having good attacks, I can’t see the North London derby being a low-scoring game, especially as a place fourth place is on the line.</p>
<p>Mikel Arteta’s side have scored 54 goals (5<sup>th</sup>) with an xG of 54.8 (6<sup>th</sup>) therefore you can see their attacking assets as good investments this week.</p>
<p>Saka is one of the first names on the Arsenal team sheet, and is the attacker likely to play the most minutes.</p>
<p>The England international also has the best underlying numbers, the highest xG and xA in that team, and the fact he is now on penalties is a huge plus.</p>

<h3><strong>James Maddison (£6.9m) – Leicester City</strong></h3>
<p><strong>Fixtures: Everton (H) and Norwich (H)</strong></p>
<p><strong>James Maddison</strong> has eight goals and eight assists in only 24 starts with an xG of 6.54 and has created 47 Chances with an xA of 5.77. He has been a great option when he starts.</p>
<p>Leicester City have the best double in Gameweek 36. They have two very kind home fixtures in Everton and Norwich who both sit in the relegation places. The Toffees have conceded 55 goals (15<sup>th</sup>) with an xGC of 53.8 (13<sup>th</sup>) and the Canaries have conceded 71 (19<sup>th</sup>) with an xGC of 67.9 (20<sup>th</sup>).</p>
<p>The Foxes have been decent in the final third scoring 48 goals (8<sup>th</sup>) with an xG of 43.2 (14<sup>th</sup>) and they do play two really poor defensive teams.</p>
<p>Although Leicester are concentrating their efforts on the Europa Conference League, I still think Maddison is a good shout for this week, even if they go through. He will definitely start one and get minutes in the other, and with how poor both opponents are I feel he is a great option.</p>
<p>Furthermore, if they get knocked out, which is looking likely at the moment then the chances of him starting both increases slightly, as they have nothing else to play for. Leicester also have a double in <a href="https://www.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/fixture-ticker">Gameweek 37.</a></p>
<p>The English midfielder has been one of their best players this season and certainly their best FPL asset. He can score, assist and is on a lot of set-pieces too which always gives him a chance of returns against any opposition.</p>
<p>He also has the highest xG and xA amongst his teammates.</p>
<p>Maddison is actually the joint highest predicted scoring midfielder (10.4 points) for Double Gameweek 36 according to our <strong><a href="https://www.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/predictions">Points Prediction Tool.</a></strong></p>
