<h2><strong>Best FPL Players for Gameweek 23</strong></h2>
<h3><strong>Son </strong><strong>Heung-min (£</strong><strong>9.8m) – Spurs</strong></h3>
<p><strong>Fixture: Leicester City (H)</strong></p>
<p>Son hasn't had the best season, only managing six goals and six assists so far.</p>
<p>Spurs have also been off the boil recently, however the fixture this week is one of the kindest this season.</p>
<p>Ange Postecoglou's team take on Leicester City at home, and the Foxes have conceded the second most goals (48) and an xGC of 43.2 (third worst).</p>
<p>Despite five losses in the last six, Spurs do still score and have netted the second most goals (45) with an xG of 37.7 (seventh).</p>
<p>Son could also play as the number 9 against Ruud Van Nistelrooy's team as it looks like <strong>Dominic Solanke (£7.5m)</strong> will be out for a few weeks.</p>
<p><strong>Richarlison (£6.8m)</strong> meanwhile may need a few more games to get back to full fitness.</p>
<p>The South Korean is at 51% to score at any time and he is the sixth highest predicted scoring player (5.8 points) for Gameweek 23 according to <a href="https://www.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/predictions">Hub AI.</a></p>

<h3><strong>Alexander Isak (£9.4m) – Newcastle United</strong></h3>
<p><strong>Fixture:  Southampton (A)</strong></p>
<p>Isak finally posted a blank for the first time since Gameweek 13. He has 15 goals and five assists this season, and has been one of the best FPL assets in the game.</p>
<p>Newcastle United have one of their best fixtures of the season as they take on bottom of the table Southampton.</p>
<p>The Saints have conceded the most goals (50) and also have the worst xGC (50.9) too. They are clearly the worst team in the league.</p>
<p>Newcastle on the otherhand have scored 25 goals (second) since Gameweek 13 and will no doubt score a few here too.</p>
<p>Eddie Howe's side will be clear favourites for this game and Isak is going to be the one most likely getting the chances.</p>
<p>The Swedish international is nailed to start and will be first choice penalty taker.</p>
<p>Isak is their talisman and he is the second favourite to score at any time (51%).</p>
<p>He is also the second highest predicted scoring player (7.8 points) according to <a href="https://www.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/predictions">Hub AI</a>.</p>

<h3><strong>Mohamed Salah (£13.7m) - Liverpool</strong></h3>
<p><strong>Fixture: Ipswich (H)</strong></p>
<p>Salah has now blanked in the last two games and only has one open play goal in the last four.</p>
<p>He will still be the the best captaincy option this gameweek though, as Liverpool welcome Ipswich to Anfield.</p>
<p>Kieran McKenna's side have conceded the third most goals (43) and have the second worst xGC (44.1) in the league.</p>
<p>Liverpool have actually scored the most goals (50) and have the best xG (48.93) in the league despite playing a game less.</p>
<p>They are also the clear favourites to score 2.5+ goals (71%) so on paper this should be a big win for the Reds.</p>
<p>Salah is having an unbelievable season even by his own high standards and it's hard to look past him this week.</p>
<p>He is unsurprisingly the favourite to score at any time (61%) in Gameweek 23.</p>
<p>The Egyptian is also the highest predicted scoring player (9.3 points) according to <a href="https://www.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/predictions">Hub AI</a>.</p>

<h2>Low owned options</h2>
<h3><strong>Jean-Philippe Mateta (£7.3m) – Crystal Palace</strong></h3>
<p><strong>Fixture: Brentford (H)</strong></p>
<p>Mateta has been on a great run of form, with four goals in his last three. Despite this, the forward is still only owned by just over 5% of managers.</p>
<p>Crystal Palace have a great fixture this week against Brentford and also have a good run until Gameweek 28.</p>
<p>Thomas Frank's team have conceded 39 goals (fourth most) with an xGC of 37.0 (fifth worst).</p>
<p>They do give up plenty of chances, and with the form Palace are in they are sure to score a few here.</p>
<p>Mateta is their nailed on number 9 and he is the one most likely to score for them.</p>
<p>He is also the first choice penalty taker for the Eagles.</p>
<p>The Frenchman is at a very healthy 41% to score at any time in Gameweek 23 and he is probably the best third forward to own right now.</p>

<h3><strong>Cody Gakpo (£7.4mm) - </strong><strong>Liverpool</strong></h3>
<p><strong>Fixture: Ipswich (H)</strong></p>
<p>Cody Gakpo has now started the last 10 games and scored five goals in that period too.</p>
<p>With<strong> Diogo Jota (£7.2m)</strong> seemingly injured again this should further boost Gakpo's expected minutes.</p>
<p>He has been one of Liverpool's best attackers this season and a spot in the front three looks like his to lose.</p>
<p>Gameweek 23 is pretty much the perfect entry point for him too, as Liverpool take on Ipswich at home and then have a double gameweek in 24.</p>
<p>There is always a risk of rotation with Liverpool attackers not named Salah, but with Gakpo he should get plenty of minutes over the next two gameweeks and he has high upside.</p>
<p>He is owned by over 9% of managers at the time of writing so still very much a differential.</p>
<p>The Dutch international is at 43% to score at any time in Gameweek 23 also.</p>
