<h2 style="text-align: left;">The Best FPL Midfielders for Gameweek 35</h2>
<h3><strong><br />
Heung-Min Son (£11.0m) – Spurs</strong></h3>
<p><strong>Fixture: Leicester City (H)</strong></p>
<p>After three double-digit hauls in a row, <strong>Heung-Min Son</strong> has blanked in his last two games. He has 17 goals and eight assists over the season, with an xG of 13.06 (4<sup>th</sup> among midfielders) and an xA of 7.68 (5<sup>th</sup> among midfielders).</p>
<p>Despite his and Spurs' recent blanks, I am not too concerned regarding him as an FPL asset, and still see him as one of the best options in the game.</p>
<p>Tottenham have a decent fixture in Gameweek 35 to get back to scoring ways. They welcome Leicester City, who have conceded 51 goals (15<sup>th</sup>) with an xGC of 57.9 (17<sup>th</sup>). They have been really leaky at the back this season. Also, they are now clearly prioritising the Europa Conference League, and with a fixture against Roma for them midweek, I can see them fielding a slightly weakened team again.</p>
<p>This will of course favour Spurs, and despite not registering a shot on target in the last two games, they have been very good attack-wise. Over the season they have scored 56 goals (4<sup>th</sup>) with an xG of 56.8 (4<sup>th</sup>).</p>
<p>The North London club are also third favourites (36%) to score 2.5+ goals in Gameweek 35.</p>
<p>Son is also on for one of his best-ever seasons in a Spurs shirt. He has scored 17 goals, which matches his best ever returns for goals scored last season, so he will certainly be looking to better that. Tottenham also have it all to play for in the race for the top four and will see every game as a must-win.</p>
<p>Our <strong><a href="https://www.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/predictions">Points Prediction Tool</a></strong> has him as the second highest predicted scoring player (7.0 points) for Gameweek 35.</p>

<h3><strong>Philippe Coutinho (£7.0m) – Aston Villa</strong></h3>
<p><strong>Fixture: Norwich (H)</strong></p>
<p><strong>Philippe Coutinho</strong> has had a decent start to his Aston Villa career. He has four goals and three assists in 12 starts, with an xG of 3.11 and an xA of 3.23. He has a very nice fixture this week in order to add to those attacking returns.</p>
<p>Villa play Norwich at home in Gameweek 35. The Canaries have conceded 69 goals (20<sup>th</sup>) with an xGC of 66.0 (20<sup>th</sup>) and are pretty much relegated this season, although mathematically they can still get out of it. They are 10 points from safety and have the worst defence in the league.</p>
<p>The Villains haven't exactly been free-scoring this season, but they will have too much for Dean Smith’s side in my opinion and I can see a big win for Steven Gerrard this week. They have scored 42 goals (9<sup>th</sup>) with an xG of 40.0 (14<sup>th</sup>).</p>
<p>Coutinho is looking like the best attacking option for Villa at the moment; he is the one pulling the strings in that midfield and is  very capable of scoring too. In his 12 starts, he already has three double-digit hauls so can be quite explosive.</p>
<p>He has a decent <a href="https://www.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/fixture-ticker">run of fixtures</a> to the end of the season with back-to-back double Gameweeks in 36 and 37.</p>

<h3><strong>Wilfried Zaha (£6.8m) – Crystal Palace</strong></h3>
<p><strong>Fixture: Southampton (a)</strong></p>
<p><strong>Wilfried Zaha </strong>has had a good season. He has 11 goals and one assist in 27 starts, with an xG of 9.82, and he has created 44 chances with an xA of 5.06. He has been a great option this season, and has largely gone under the radar.</p>
<p>Crystal Palace play Southampton (a) in Gameweek 35. The Saints have been quite leaky and inconsistent this season. They have conceded 56 goals (17<sup>th</sup>) with an xGC of 58.8 (18<sup>th</sup>).</p>
<p>The Eagles on the other hand have been quite impressive and a real surprise package, after being one of the favourites to be relegated pre-season. Patrick Viera’s men have scored 43 goals (8<sup>th</sup>) with an xG of 43.2 (11<sup>th</sup>).</p>
<p>Wilfried Zaha has been one of their most consistent performers over the years, and has been again this season. He is their top scorer and one of the most nailed players in the league. He very rarely doesn’t play the full 90 minutes, has both goal and assist threat, and is also now the first-choice penalty taker also.</p>
<p>Zaha is a great option, not only this week, but all the way until the <a href="https://www.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/fixture-ticker">end of the season</a>. He has good fixtures and even a double gameweek in 37.</p>

<h3><strong>Kevin De Bruyne (£11.8m) – Manchester City</strong></h3>
<p><strong>Fixture: Leeds United (a)</strong></p>
<p><strong>Kevin De Bruyne</strong> now has 11 goals and six assists in 19 starts this season. He has registered attacking returns in five of his last six games. The Belgian has an xG of 5.32, and has created 82 chances with an xA of 8.12 (3<sup>rd</sup> amongst midfielders).</p>
<p>Man City have a plum fixture in Gameweek 35, as they take on Leeds United. This looks like another fixture in which City can rack up a big scoreline. The Whites have conceded 68 goals (19th) with an xGC of 61.3 (19th).</p>
<p>The Citizens on the other hand have scored 80 goals (2<sup>nd</sup>) with an xG of 76.4 (2<sup>nd</sup>) and with the league title so close at the moment, I don’t see De Bruyne getting rested much from now until the end of the season. He is their best and most important player.</p>
<p>De Bruyne seems to be over his fitness issues this season, and has more than got into his stride in the second half of the season. He definitely looks like the pick of the bunch right now from that City team.</p>
<p>It also doesn’t bode well for Leeds, as the bookmakers have City as the clear favourites to score 2.5+ goals (50%) this week.</p>
<p>Our <strong><a href="https://fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/predictions/">Price Prediction Tool</a></strong> ranks him as the highest predicted scoring player overall (7.6 points) for Gameweek 35.</p>

<h3><strong>Mohamed Salah (£13.3m) – Liverpool</strong></h3>
<p><strong>Fixture: Newcastle United (a)</strong></p>
<p><strong>Mohamed Salah</strong> now has an incredible 22 goals and 14 assists with an xG of 22.71 (1<sup>st</sup>) and an xA of 12.52 (1<sup>st</sup>). He needs to average 9.6 points per game to beat his previous total points record of 303 points in 2017/18. With the stats he is putting up this season, I would not be surprised at all if he beats it.</p>
<p>Liverpool have another decent fixture in Gameweek 35, away to Newcastle United. The Toon have conceded 55 goals (16<sup>th</sup>) with an xGC of 54.8 (15<sup>th</sup>) over the season. They have clearly improved since January both in attack and defence, but I still think they are in for a long night here.</p>
<p>The Reds have scored the most goals (85) and have the highest xG (82.8) in the league, and really don’t look like slowing down. They are going to be a handful no matter how good a team they are playing.</p>
<p>Liverpool are also second favourites to score 2.5+ goals (38%) according to the bookmakers.</p>
<p>Mohamed Salah is pivotal to this team, and with 36 attacking returns and a Goal Involvement Rate of 46% (2<sup>nd</sup>) he is just too good an FPL asset to go without.</p>
<p>His increased assist threat this season just makes him essential, and he will again be one of the top captaincy contenders for Gameweek 35.</p>
