<h2 style="text-align: left;">Best FPL defenders for Gameweek 6</h2>
<h3><strong><br />
Reece James (£6.1m) – Chelsea</strong></h3>
<p><strong>Fixture: West Ham United (H)</strong></p>
<p>James has one goal and one assist with an expected goals (xG) of 0.67. He has also created seven chances with an xA of 1.12.</p>
<p>He missed out in the 2-1 loss to Southampton last Gameweek through illness but has been seen training, so should certainly start this one.</p>
<p>Also with the signing of Wesley Fofana (£4.4m) now officially complete we will surely see James occupying that right wing-back spot now rather than right centre-back which Fofana will slot into.</p>
<p>Chelsea host West Ham United in Gameweek 6 and although this is a London derby I feel it’s a good time to play the Hammers.</p>
<p>They have scored the joint least goals in the league (two) and really don’t look the same side as last season.</p>
<p>Although the Blues haven't been much better themselves, they have at least been scoring - and James has been ticking along with attacking returns.</p>
<p>Even while he was mostly playing right centre-back this season he has still been getting the attacking returns, so that is only going to increase when playing at right wing-back.</p>
<p>They are also the second favourites to keep a clean sheet (42%) in Gameweek 6.</p>
<p>James is also the fourth-highest predicted scoring defender (4.8 points) according to our <a href="https://www.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/predictions">Points Prediction Tool.</a></p>

<h3><strong>Joao Cancelo (£7.1m) – Manchester City</strong></h3>
<p><strong>Fixture: Aston Villa (a)</strong></p>
<p>Manchester City have now kept the joint-most clean sheets with three and Cancelo also got his first goal of the season last Gameweek.</p>
<p>He now has one goal and one assist for the season.</p>
<p>Man City have another good fixture in Gameweek 6 as they take on struggling Aston Villa.</p>
<p>The Villains have have lost four of the first five games scoring four goals and they are very unlikely to get anything from this game also.</p>
<p>City are the joint-favourites to keep a clean sheet at 43% and they are second favourites (44%) to score 2.5+ goals also.</p>
<p>Therefore again the Portuguese could well get attacking returns again here.</p>
<p>Cancelo has a 57% chance of anytime returns according to the <a href="https://www.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/predictions">Points Prediction Tool</a>.</p>

<h3><strong>Kieren Trippier (£5.1m) – Newcastle United</strong></h3>
<p><strong>Fixture: Crystal Palace (H)</strong></p>
<p>Trippier has two clean sheets and one goal so far this season. Newcastle United have had tough fixtures of late but now embark on a much better run.</p>
<p>He is the first-choice right-back for the Toon, who have clearly improved at both ends of the pitch and this, of course, benefits Trippier on two fronts when it comes to FPL points.</p>
<p>Newcastle are now very much a top half of the table side and Trippier looks great value at £5.1m.</p>
<p>They come up against Crystal Palace in Gameweek 6 and although the Eagles have also improved vastly under Patrick Viera, Newcastle will be the favourites for this one.</p>
<p>With Trippier now playing in a much better defence and the fact he is on a lot of set-pieces too, he is one of the best defensive options for Gameweek 6.</p>
<p>In his career, he has 12 goals and 77 assists, so clearly has a lot of attacking potential.</p>
<p>Eddie Howe's men are also the fourth favourites to keep a clean sheet in Gameweek 6 at 36%.</p>

<h3><strong>Lewis Dunk (£4.5m) – Brighton</strong></h3>
<p><strong>Fixture: Leicester City (H)</strong></p>
<p>Brighton look to have another good fixture here in Gameweek 6.</p>
<p>They conceded only their second and third goals of the season against Fulham last Gameweek and although Lewis Dunk scored an own goal, that won't happen very often.</p>
<p>The Seagulls welcome struggling Leicester City to the Amex in Gameweek 6.</p>
<p>Despite their loss against Fulham they have been good defensively. They have conceded three goals with an xGC of 4.47 and they also conceded the fifth-least goals last season.</p>
<p>Dunk is their most-nailed defender and he also has goal threat. He has 12 league goals in five seasons and is always a threat in the box from set-pieces.</p>
<p>According to the bookmakers, they are the third favourites to keep a clean sheet in Gameweek 6 at 38%.</p>
<p>Dunk is also the highest-predicted scoring budget defender (4.6 points) for Gameweek 6 according to the <a href="https://www.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/predictions">Points Prediction Tool.</a></p>

<h3><strong><br />
Son Heung-min (£11.8m) – Spurs</strong></h3>
<p><strong>Fixture: Fulham (H)</strong></p>
<p>The South Korean hasn’t had the best start to the season, with only one assist to his name so far.</p>
<p>But he is a proven FPL asset and looking at his goals and assists tallies over the years tells us he is very likely to come good again.</p>
<p>Spurs have a decent home game against Fulham in Gameweek 6.</p>
<p>The Cottagers have had a great start to the season with two wins and two draws in their opening five games.</p>
<p>However, they have been conceding and have let in seven goals so far.</p>
<p>It’s only a matter of time before Son starts scoring points again and he has another good fixture from an attacking point of view to get going again.</p>
<p>The Spurs forward has both goal and assist threat and with him also being on set-pieces he is capable of big hauls as we have seen in the past.</p>

<p>Kevin De Bruyne has one goal and three assists in his first five games.</p>
<p>The Belgian was benched in Gameweek 5, so it looks very likely that he is going to start against Aston Villa this Gameweek.</p>
<p>This is another good fixture for Manchester City with Villa currently struggling.</p>
<p>City meanwhile look well on target to beat the 99 goal mark they scored last season.</p>
<p>De Bruyne is always going to be involved in a fair share of Man City’s goals, whether it be goals or assists.</p>
<p>He has the highest assist threat this season and with the number of goals they will score this season he will get plenty.</p>

<p><strong>Fixture: Everton (a)</strong></p>
<p><strong>Salah</strong> has now got two goals and three assists in his first five games, despite him and Liverpool not being at their best.</p>
<p>His underlying numbers look more than fine.</p>
<p>Liverpool come up against Everton in Gameweek 6 in the Merseyside derby.</p>
<p>The Reds have been grinding out results despite being nowhere near their best and similar for Salah with his attacking returns.</p>
<p>Salah isn’t a player who will be quiet for long and will start to show his worth sooner or later.</p>
<p>Looking at the fixtures this week and his expected minutes, he looks like one of the best captain options again.</p>
<p>The Egyptian is also the highest-predicted scoring midfielder (8.2 points) for Gameweek 6 according to our <a href="https://www.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/predictions">Points Prediction Tool.</a></p>

<p>Gross has had a great start to the season and probably for the first time has presented himself as a great FPL option. He has three goals and one assist in his first five games.</p>
<p>He has been putting up much better stats than ever before and has also played 90 minutes in his first five games.</p>
<p>Brighton have a great fixture from an attacking point of view as they take on Leicester City at home.</p>
<p>The Seagulls have been on a good run this season and will be favourites to win this one and Gross looks like their best attacking asset right now.</p>
<p>He is also on corners and free kicks and at a price of only £5.9m looks great value.</p>
<p>He has both goal and assist threat and has clearly been playing a lot further forward this season looking at his average position maps.</p>

<h2 style="text-align: left;">Best FPL Forwards for Gameweek 6</h2>
<h3><strong><br />
Erling Haaland (£11.9m) – Manchester City</strong></h3>
<p><strong>Fixture: Aston Villa (a)</strong></p>
<p>Erling Haaland has well and truly rocked the Premier League this season.</p>
<p>He has scored back-to-back hat-tricks and now has nine goals and one assist in his first five games. This has also set a record for the most goals scored by any player in August.</p>
<p>Manchester City's fixture against Villa will be another good one for him but we do have to be wary about his starting berth in this game. It really is still uncertain whether he starts or not.</p>
<p>Pep Guardiola stated last week: "I will tell you now that we have games every three days. Erling Haaland is not going to play every game. Julian Alvarez is going to play."</p>
<p>Haaland however was taken off at around 68 minutes, while teammate <strong>Julian Alvarez (£6.2m) </strong>played the full 90 minutes.</p>
<p>The early substitution may indicate a start against Villa but reduced minutes, as they have a Champions League game midweek.</p>
<p>But as we have seen he doesn’t need many minutes to haul big.</p>
<p>Even if he is benched he should see minutes off the bench. At the moment it's really dangerous to go without him.</p>

<h3><strong>Harry Kane (£11.4m) – Tottenham Hotspur</strong></h3>
<p><strong>Fixture: Fulham (H)</strong></p>
<p>Kane has now scored four goals and one assist in his first five games.</p>
<p>Tottenham have also been really good in the final third.</p>
<p>Their fixture against Fulham looks like a good one for Kane also. They are at home and he is their talisman right now who is on penalties and also should be good for minutes.</p>
<p>He is the second favourite to score at anytime (55%) and Spurs are also third favourites to score 2.5+ goals (42%)</p>

<p><strong>Fixture: Leeds United (H)</strong></p>
<p>Toney has two goals and two assists so far.</p>
<p>Brentford have a good fixture this week at home to Leeds United. The Bees have been great going forward and have scored in every game.</p>
<p>Leeds have been good at the back but this isn't going to be an easy game and Toney will be the favourite to get some attacking returns here.</p>
<p>He is at 42% to score at anytime and our <a href="https://www.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/predictions">Points Prediction Tool</a> ranks him as third-highest predicted scoring (5.7 points) forward in Gameweek 6.</p>
<p>His underlying stats show that he will not only get goals but a fair amount of assists also.</p>

<h3><strong>Alexander Isak (£7.0m) – Newcastle United</strong></h3>
<p><strong>Fixture: Crystal Palace (H)</strong></p>
<p><a href="https://www.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/alexander-isak-fpl-sky-tff-and-dream-team-prospects">Alexander Isak</a> made a great first impression for his new club with a goal against Liverpool. The young Swede looks like a great prospect and has also impressed on the international stage at the most recent Euros.</p>
<p>His best season came for Real Sociedad in 2020/21 where scored 16 goals and two assists in 34 appearances.</p>
<p>His latest season with them wasn’t so great so as he only managed six goals and two assists in 32 appearances.</p>
<p>However, this would have been partly due to Sociedad’s regression in goals, where they only managed to score 40 compared to the previous years 59.</p>
<p>If he can recapture that 2020/21 form then he will be a great asset at only £7.0m. Newcastle are an improving team and they will no doubt score more goals and finish higher in the table than they have in many years.</p>
<p>He has shown already that he is very capable of making it in this league and was very unfortunate not to get a second against Liverpool too, with him scoring a very well-taken goal which was marginally offside.</p>
<p>A home game against Crystal Palace looks a plum fixture for him to add more attacking returns.</p>
