<h2>How did last week&#8217;s AI team perform?</h2>
FPL points: 56 (before Liverpool v Luton)
FPL average: 64
The AI team targeted a full starting 11 of double gameweek players &#8211; usually an assured strategy for a green arrow.
But it was a disastrous week for many of the popular doublers. This was made worse by the success of highly owned players who had one fixture, including Bukayo Saka and Dominic Solanke.
The FPL average was inflated by those who played their Triple Captain on Erling Haaland. A record 1.3m backed him, only for the Norwegian to manage a single goal &#8211; despite posting an expected goals (xG) tally of 2.57.
Haaland was predicted to score just over 17 points by Hub AI. Although he fell short, with 10 points over two games, his expected points figure of 17.39 was almost identical to the AI&#8217;s forecast.
The AI team would be looking rosier ahead of the Liverpool v Luton game tonight (Wednesday, February 21) but injury has ruled out Diogo Jota and likely Darwin Nunez.
It still has three others in action, which may edge it ahead of the average come the end of the gameweek.

Haaland and Saka are expected to be the leading captaincy candidates this week and Hub AI currently gives the edge to Haaland.
Manchester City travel to Bournemouth, while Arsenal host Newcastle on the back of two big away wins.
Ollie Watkins and Ivan Toney make it into third and fourth respectively.
The top five is rounded off with a rare appearance from a defender. With Ezri Konsa out injured, Matty Cash should be sure of a start on the right of Aston Villa&#8217;s defence. He has a home game against Nottingham Forest.

Wolves players are a hot topic in the FPL community ahead of their home game against Sheffield United.
Midfielders Hwang Hee-chan and Pedro Neto are the players in demand but neither make the AI team.
It instead relies on Jose Sa to cover the Wolves fixture, with defenders Rayan Ait-Nouri and Craig Dawson on the bench.
Sheffield United&#8217;s attacking <a href="https://cms.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/opta/" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c="1" title="FPL Stats by OPTA - Player and Team Stats">stats</a> away are the worst in the league. Wolves meanwhile are among the favourites to keep a clean sheet in Blank Gameweek 26.

But the AI prefers a starting defensive double from Aston Villa in Alex Moreno and Cash. Their predicted points are both higher than the Wolves options.
This ultimately comes down to attacking threat. Moreno has two goals this season and has had a further two ruled out for offisde, the most recent coming against Fulham in Gameweek 25.
Cash also has two goals, although both came against Burnley in Gameweek 3.
Ait-Nouri, who just misses out on the starting 11 of this Free Hit team, was one of the most advanced Wolves players against Tottenham Hotspur in Gameweek 25.
Attacking returns have been hard to come by though. He has no goals this season, despite an expected goals (xG) tally of 1.55, and just one assist.
