Best FPL Gameweek 9 Wildcard team – My Team guide

We’ve explained the basics of how My Team works previously – but Hub members will now find tabs for best gameweek team and best Wildcard team.

These tabs picture the optimum teams according to predicted points and compare it to your own team.

In the case of the best Wildcard side, the My Team v Best Team numbers on the right-hand side are a four-gameweek projection of predicted points by position.

Who’s in the My Team best FPL Gameweek 9 Wildcard team?

Goalkeepers: Alisson and Danny Ward

Liverpool’s number-one teams up with Leicester’s shot-stopper for a predicted 12.27 FPL points over the next four weeks.

It is Alisson, with a predicted points score of 4.7, who gets the nod in Gameweek 9.

Liverpool face Brighton at home, who are set to be managed by Roberto De Zerbi for the first time, following the departure of Brighton manager Graham Potter.

Leicester meanwhile go on a favourable fixture run which includes Nottingham Forest, Bournemouth, Crystal Palace and Leeds.

Defenders: Reece James, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Joao Cancelo, Thiago Silva and Neco Williams

A Chelsea double up in defence may not have been high up in many FPL managers’ thoughts, with the London side under Graham Potter still somewhat of an unknown quantity.

But the My Team algorithm rates Chelsea’s prospects against Palace, Wolves, Aston Villa and Brentford strongly – and combined with the other selections, predicts 53 points from its defenders over the next four weeks.

Forest’s Williams is the budget defender of choice, with Nathan Patterson picking up an injury during the international break.

Midfielders: Son Heung-min, James Maddison, Phil Foden, Andreas Pereira and Harrison Reed

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Son was the star of the Hub’s Gameweek 8 Wildcard, giving his backers a roller coaster ride of emotions.

He was benched, only to come on and score a hat-trick against Leicester.

The South Korean, predicted to score 4.8 points against Arsenal on Saturday, makes the squad again.

Manchester City’s Foden and Leicester’s Maddison make the cut in a three-man midfield.

Over the next four gameweeks, the My Team Wildcard side is predicted to net 43 points.

Forwards: Erling Haaland, Aleksandar Mitrovic and Dominic Solanke

The Premier League’s leading scorer unsurprisingly gets the nod, alongside Serbian striker Mitrovic and Bournemouth’s talisman Solanke.

The trio combined are predicted to score 62 points over the next four gameweeks, with Haaland’s 7.7 the standout selection in Gameweek 9.

Solanke has a less impressive goals record than his My Team teammates so far, however Bournemouth’s fixtures include Brentford, Leicester, Fulham and Southampton.

The captain’s armband goes to Haaland, with Son as vice-captain.
