<h2>Best FPL Wildcard Team for Gameweek 12</h2>
<h3>Vicente Guaita (£4.6m)</h3>
<p>Palace’s defence has been superb this season thus far – only Man City, Liverpool and Chelsea have been faring better in terms of <strong>expected goals (xG) conceded</strong>. This is despite having faced tough opposition over the course of the season.</p>
<p><a href="https://cms.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/bigmanbakar/74">Palace now have a great run of fixtures coming up</a>, which makes Guaita very appealing. Guaita has the best minutes per baseline bonus points ratio among Palace defenders too so is highly likely to accumulate bonus points whenever Palace are to keep him a clean sheet.</p>
<h3></h3>
<h3>Ben Foster (£4.1m)</h3>
<p>From the evidence we have this season, <strong>Foster</strong> looks like the most likely keeper in this price range to string together some starts so he would be my pick as the substitute goalkeeper.</p>
<p>He has started all four games under Claudio Ranieri as well which bodes well for him going forward. You can&#8217;t ask for more than that at that price.</p>
<h3></h3>
<h3>Trent Alexander Arnold (£7.7m)</h3>
<p><strong>Trent</strong> is ranked first in the league among defenders for chances created, big chances created, expected assists (xA) and expected goal involvement (xGi) this season. What also helps him is that Liverpool are ranked second for xG conceded.</p>

<p>His ability to contribute at both ends of the field makes Trent one of the most explosive assets in the game.</p>
<p>I see no reason not to select him in a Wildcard draft &#8211; he is an automatic selection for me.</p>
<h3></h3>
<h3>João Cancelo (£6.5m)</h3>
<p><strong>Manchester City are ranked top for xG conceded, big chances conceded, shots conceded and shots in the box conceded</strong> this season. They have already kept<strong> seven clean sheets</strong> this season and as you can see from <a href="https://cms.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/bigmanbakar/74">Fantasy Football Hub&#8217;s fixture ticker, they have a great fixture run coming up.</a></p>
<p><strong>Cancelo&#8217;s</strong> recent performances have been very impressive which makes me think that it&#8217;s his shirt to lose. He is versatile enough to play on both flanks should Pep decide to rotate which adds to his appeal.</p>
<p>Cancelo is ranked first for penalty area touches among defenders and second for expected goal involvement (xGi) so like Trent, has the ability to deliver on both ends of the field.</p>
<h3></h3>
<h3 class="qrShPb kno-ecr-pt PZPZlf mfMhoc" data-local-attribute="d3bn" data-attrid="title" data-ved="2ahUKEwiXp8GC7abzAhUzA2MBHcezAHEQ3B0oAXoECF8QCw">Reece James (£5.9m)</h3>
<p><strong>Reece James this season:</strong></p>
<p>GW2: 8 penalty area touches, 1.2 xGi, 2 big chance involvements</p>
<p>GW9: 3 penalty area touches, 0.6 xGi, 1 big chance involvement</p>
<p>GW10: 7 penalty area touches, 1.1 xGi, 1 big chance involvement</p>
<p>GW11: 6 penalty area touches, 0.7 xGi, 1 big chance involvement</p>
<p>James&#8217; recent underlying numbers have been incredible. Even from the eye test, it is apparent that he is getting into threatening positions and playing advanced in the final third.</p>

<p>Even though the sample size is limited, he has the best minutes per baseline bps ratio among the Chelsea defence which makes him a bit of a bonus magnet when Chelsea are to keep a clean sheet. He&#8217;d definitely be in my team on a wildcard.</p>
<h3></h3>
<h3>Sergio Reguilón (£5.0m)</h3>
<p>Spurs restricted Everton to just five shots in the box and had good defensive underlying numbers in their first Premier League game in-charge under Antonio Conte.</p>
<p><strong>Reguilón was Spurs’ most advanced player</strong> as he recorded the highest number of touches in the final third among all Spurs players. He had the only big chance of the game to score which was created by Kane.<strong> Reguilón, by his own admission, has been told to get into threatening positions</strong> by his manager and could represent a good option ahead of <a href="https://cms.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/bigmanbakar/74">Spurs’ fixture swing</a>:</p>
<blockquote><p>“I’m enjoying the position because I can attack more! He [Conte] wants me to be solid in defence but at the same time I have to arrive in the box, help the strikers, score goals, give assists. Now I have more of a chance to score goals and give assists so let’s work.”</p></blockquote>
<p>Conte has had a lot of success working with the likes of Marcos Alonso, Victor Moses and Achraf Hakimi in the past. <strong>At Inter, around 45% of his league goals were contributed in one way or the other by his two wing backs.</strong></p>
<p>If the trend continues at Spurs, Reguilón could do really well.</p>
<h3></h3>
<h3 class="qrShPb kno-ecr-pt PZPZlf mfMhoc" data-local-attribute="d3bn" data-attrid="title" data-ved="2ahUKEwiw25uX7abzAhUaCGMBHVCiDHIQ3B0oAXoECFwQCw">Tino Livramento (£4.6m)</h3>
<p><strong>Livramento</strong> is an obvious pick. He has been excellent for Southampton this season and has made the right back position his own.</p>
<p>Southampton since their favorable fixture swing four Gameweeks ago<a href="https://cms.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/bigmanbakar/77"> are ranked as the best team for xG conceded</a>. Livramento is an ideal player to have in your squad at that price.</p>
<h3 data-local-attribute="d3bn" data-attrid="title" data-ved="2ahUKEwiw25uX7abzAhUaCGMBHVCiDHIQ3B0oAXoECFwQCw"></h3>
<h3 data-local-attribute="d3bn" data-attrid="title" data-ved="2ahUKEwiw25uX7abzAhUaCGMBHVCiDHIQ3B0oAXoECFwQCw">Mohamed Salah (£13.0m)</h3>
<p>There&#8217;s no debate on this one. <strong>Salah is top for xG </strong>in the league this season, in the form of his life and the most reliable captaincy option in the game.</p>
<h3></h3>
<h3 class="ElementDialog__ElementHeading-gmefnd-2 llwlWO">Heung-Min Son (£10.3m)</h3>
<p>I&#8217;d have at least one Spurs attacker on a wildcard due to the likelihood of a new manager bounce given the easy fixture schedule. I have Son over Kane as he’s £2m cheaper and with fixture congestion likely to kick in very shortly, a lot of fantasy managers will need squad depth.</p>

<p>As Son is £2m cheaper, it’s much easier to have a reasonable bench with Son than with Kane.</p>
<h3></h3>
<h3 data-local-attribute="d3bn" data-attrid="title" data-ved="2ahUKEwiw25uX7abzAhUaCGMBHVCiDHIQ3B0oAXoECFwQCw">Phil Foden (£8.3m)</h3>
<p>A couple of quiet weeks from <strong>Foden </strong>shouldn’t mean he slips under the radar. He’s still third among midfielders for xG and second for xGi (behind Salah) ever since he started playing in Gameweek 6.</p>
<p>Man City are ranked as the bookies favorites for 2.5+ goals this week and with Foden having a very high 45% goal involvement rate (comfortably the best among Man City players this season), there is every possibility that points are on the way.</p>
<h3 data-local-attribute="d3bn" data-attrid="title" data-ved="2ahUKEwiw25uX7abzAhUaCGMBHVCiDHIQ3B0oAXoECFwQCw"></h3>
<h3 data-local-attribute="d3bn" data-attrid="title" data-ved="2ahUKEwiw25uX7abzAhUaCGMBHVCiDHIQ3B0oAXoECFwQCw">Diogo Jota (£7.5m)</h3>
<p>If reports are to be believed that Roberto Firmino is likely to be sidelined with injury till December, <strong>Jota</strong> becomes an option that is simply too good to ignore.</p>
<p>Liverpool have been statistically the best attack in the league this season when it comes to shots in the box, big chances and xG.</p>

<p>Some fantasy managers have been scarred by the experience of owning Jota when he misfired from Gameweek 4-7 despite regularly starting but it is worth noting that even then he was fourth for big chance involvements and fifth for expected goal involvement (xGi) and highly underperformed on his expected numbers.</p>
<p>With Champions League qualification already secured and the possibility of Mane and Salah leaving for AFCON around late December, Jota could turn out to be an option for the long term.</p>
<h3></h3>
<h3 data-local-attribute="d3bn" data-attrid="title" data-ved="2ahUKEwiw25uX7abzAhUaCGMBHVCiDHIQ3B0oAXoECFwQCw">Raphinha (£6.6m)</h3>
<p><strong>Raphinha </strong>for me is the best midfielder in his price range.<strong> </strong>His underlying numbers are as good as it gets for someone of his price. The Brazilian has <strong>recorded 20 big chance involvements in 28 matches</strong> this calendar year and remains in a league of his own when it comes to budget midfielders.</p>
<p>His fixtures are tough but I think you can pick him now with a view of swapping him to <strong>Jarrod Bowen</strong> in Gameweek 16 when West Ham start their run of good fixtures.</p>
<h3></h3>
<h3 data-local-attribute="d3bn" data-attrid="title" data-ved="2ahUKEwiw25uX7abzAhUaCGMBHVCiDHIQ3B0oAXoECFwQCw">Michail Antonio (£8.2m)</h3>
<p><strong>Antonio&#8217;s</strong> underlying numbers have been very impressive this season. The Hammers striker is top among forwards for shots in the box, big chances and xG this season.</p>
<p><strong>West Ham are ranked fourth for xG</strong> this season, averaging 1.8 xG per game. They are a team in form and strike me as the sort of team who can score even against the difficult defences in the league, as we saw in the very recent game against Liverpool.</p>
<p>Antonio and West Ham’s underlying numbers are so good that I don’t think even the tough fixtures should stop them from doing well.</p>
<h3 data-local-attribute="d3bn" data-attrid="title" data-ved="2ahUKEwiw25uX7abzAhUaCGMBHVCiDHIQ3B0oAXoECFwQCw"></h3>
<h3 data-local-attribute="d3bn" data-attrid="title" data-ved="2ahUKEwiw25uX7abzAhUaCGMBHVCiDHIQ3B0oAXoECFwQCw">Ivan Toney (£6.7m)</h3>
<p><strong>Toney’s </strong>goal threat has been a big concern in recent times. He has had just two big chances (with the exception of penalties) in 11 matches so far and is ranked 36th in the league for xG-non penalty. Having said that, he is third for big chances created among all players in the league so is heavily reliant on assists to keep ticking.</p>

<p>I still think it’s worth picking Toney as his underlying numbers are still better than the alternatives in his price range whether it be Pukki, Eduoard, King, Wood or Hwang.</p>
<p>What makes Toney a good asset to own at this point in time is the fact that he is completely nailed, on penalties and highly likely to play 90 minutes in every game – something which can’t be said about too many players once the fixture congestion kicks in.</p>
<h3></h3>
<h3 class="ElementDialog__ElementHeading-gmefnd-2 llwlWO"> Kienan Davis (£4.4m)</h3>
<p>Davis is purely a budget enabler for the rest of the team.</p>
