<h2>Best FPL Wildcard Team for Double Gameweek 29 &#8211; Goalkeepers</h2>

<h3>Aaron Ramsdale (£5.1m)</h3>
<p>Ramsdale is the keeper to own for the rest of the season. Arsenal have been leaky defensively of late, but Ramsdale has proven himself over a larger sample size this season, with his ability to haul big through saves and bonus points.</p>

<p>I have selected Schmeichel because Leicester have the highest number of fixtures left to be rescheduled this season. They have quite a few double Gameweeks to come, which makes Schmeichel an exciting pick.</p>

<h2>Best FPL Wildcard Team for Gameweek 29 &#8211; Defenders</h2>
<h3></h3>
<h3>Trent Alexander-Arnold (£8.5m)</h3>
<p>Alexander-Arnold is locked in for me on Wildcard. He is ranked first in the league among defenders for chances created, big chances created, expected assists (xA) and expected goal involvement (xGi) this season.</p>
<h3></h3>
<h3>Antonio Rudiger (£6.1m)</h3>
<p>With Reece James (£6.2m) ruled out through injury, Rudiger becomes the best Chelsea defender to own by default. He has missed just two Premier League games this season, so he is absolutely safe in terms of security of starts.</p>
<p>The Blues have a great run of fixtures to come, while statistically, they are one of the best in the league defensively as well &#8211; only Man City have conceded fewer big chances or have a better xG non penalty conceded than Chelsea this season.</p>

<p>After Salah and Trent, Robertson is clearly the third best Liverpool asset to own, and has a double this week, as well as an extremely favourable fixture against Watford in Gameweek 31. This is how his numbers read from Gameweek 13:</p>

<p><em>Chances created/xGi: 2nd</em></p>
<p><em>Big chances created/Penalty area touches: 1st</em></p>
<p>With the best baseline BPS among all Liverpool defenders, Robertson is comfortably the most likely to pick up bonus points.</p>
<p>He’s on set pieces which seriously boosts him in the chance creation charts. This gives him lots of avenues to points, and serious haul potential. No wonder he is averaging 8.2 FPL points per match (since Gameweek 13).</p>
<p>Another thing I like about Robertson is that he allows a very easy move to Joao Cancelo (£7.0m) later. A lot of FPL managers will have to re-distribute funds to bring in Cancelo, but the City man is actually cheaper than Robertson. By bringing in Robertson now, you can move to Cancelo with one transfer, while taking advantage of the Scotsman&#8217;s Double Gameweek.</p>
<p>He does possess a slight rotation risk, with the impressive Kostas Tsimikas (£3.7m) lurking, but I personally think that Tuesday to Saturday is a big enough turnaround between Liverpool&#8217;s two games.</p>
<p>Liverpool can&#8217;t afford to risk dropping points in the title race, and Robertson will be needed away to two decent opponents in Brighton and Arsenal.</p>

<p>Here’s the xGI of all defenders in the league since Conte has taken over:</p>
<p><em>Alexander-Arnold: 7.9</em></p>
<p><em>Reguilon: 4.6</em></p>
<p><em>Cancelo: 4.5</em></p>
<p><em>Robertson: 4.3</em></p>
<p><em>Doherty: 3.3</em></p>
<p>Conte’s wingbacks have an insane amount of involvement.</p>
<p>Doherty has recorded four big chance involvements in his previous two starts, and has just had his best game in a Spurs shirt by a mile. Conte singled him out for praise in his post match press conference, which likely means it’s his position to lose.</p>
<p>I would look at their defenders as midfielders, with clean sheets being just a bonus. At £4.7m, you can’t ask for more than that.</p>
<h3></h3>
<h3>Conor Coady (£4.8m)</h3>
<p>Coady is the most nailed Wolves defender, and gives you an extra starter from a solid defence in Gameweek 30.</p>

<p>He&#8217;s Mohamed Salah. Need I say more?</p>
<h3></h3>
<h3 data-local-attribute="d3bn" data-attrid="title" data-ved="2ahUKEwiw25uX7abzAhUaCGMBHVCiDHIQ3B0oAXoECFwQCw">Bukayo Saka (£6.5m)</h3>
<p>Saka in this sort of form would be one of the first names on my Wildcard team sheet. He has the best xGi among all Arsenal players this season, and offers great value at his price point. I like his fixture v Leicester this week in particular &#8211; Leicester are third for chances conceded on their left flank this season, which is where Saka will be operating.</p>
<h3></h3>
<h3>Dejan Kulusevski (£6.1m)</h3>
<p>I think Spurs are a team to target in the weeks to come. They double in Gameweek 29, have a fixture in Blank Gameweek 30, and a favourable home fixture against Newcastle in Gameweek 31. Even in the long term, Spurs assets could be a good hold, as a significant majority of their remaining fixtures are against teams in the bottom half of the league.</p>
<p>Kulusevski has won his place, at least for the short term, with five attacking returns in his four previous starts. What I like about him is that he’s extremely cheap, and allows for significant upgrades in your squad elsewhere.</p>
<p><strong>Kane v Son v Kulusevski (last 5 matches they have started together):</strong></p>
<p><em>Big chance involvements: 9 v 7 v 5</em></p>
<p><em>xGi: 4.4 v 3.1 v 1.9</em></p>

<p>As you can see from the comparison above, Son (£10.8m) in isolation is better than Kulusevski due to the quality of chances he is involved in. However, I don’t think the difference is big enough to justify the extra ∼£5m in price between them.</p>
<p>Son gets the better quality of chances, but Kulusevski is actually recording more shots, shots in the box and penalty area touches than the South Korean. It’s also worth noting that Son has been subbed three times in the previous four matches, while Kulusevski has been subbed just once.</p>

<h3 data-local-attribute="d3bn" data-attrid="title" data-ved="2ahUKEwiw25uX7abzAhUaCGMBHVCiDHIQ3B0oAXoECFwQCw">Raphinha (£6.5m)</h3>
<p>Leeds were terrible against Aston Villa where they registered a xG of just 0.2 but Raphinha’s own <a href="https://cms.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/opta/">underlying numbers</a> have been decent despite the shenanigans surrounding him.</p>
<p>He was the most underperforming player in the league this Gameweek as he missed a glorious chance against Leicester and even preceding that, he had a good game v Spurs where he created six chances and registered an xGi of 0.6. Leeds have Norwich next who have virtually given up – I&#8217;d still back him for returns.</p>
<h3></h3>
<h3>Anthony Gordon (£4.5m)</h3>
<p>Everton midfielder Gordon stands out as the budget enabler to own, with a Double Gameweek in 29, followed by another potential double in either Gameweek 31 or 32.</p>

<h2>Best FPL Wildcard Team for Gameweek 29 &#8211; Forwards</h2>

<p>Kane has hit another level since Conte has taken over. He remains Spurs&#8217; biggest goal and assist threat, ranking top for both big chances and big chances created since the Italian took over. In fact, Kane is best in the league for non penalty xGi since Conte took over! This falls in line with Conte&#8217;s comments on using Kane much closer to goal, as opposed to his previous managers.</p>

<h3 class="ElementDialog__ElementHeading-gmefnd-2 llwlWO">Alexandre Lacazette (£8.3m)</h3>
<p>Arsenal are the only team in the league who double in Gameweek 29, have a fixture in Blank Gameweek 30, and potentially another double in Gameweek 33. Lacazette is nailed to start, and is ranked top among all Arsenal players for xGi since he became a regular in the team from Gameweek 15 onwards.</p>

<p>With the lack of appealing budget forwards in the game this season, Broja is the one who stands out. He is nailed, plays for an attacking team, and has been in good form this season. He offers much more than the likes of King (£5.8m) and Dennis (£6.1m) in a similar price bracket.</p>
