<h2>Is playing the Wildcard in FPL Gameweek 3 a good idea?</h2>
<p>We argued last week that playing the Wildcard in <a href="https://www.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/best-fpl-wildcard-team-gameweek-2-2024-25">Gameweek 2</a> was a little early, given the lack of information.</p>
<p>And although we have one week's worth of extra data to go on, the same arguably applies.</p>
<p>Many managers have activated the chip this week though, while some had pencilled in a Gameweek 4 Wildcard when they drafted their Gameweek 1 teams, so we are edging closer to a popular window to do so.</p>
<p><strong>Valentin Barco </strong>going out on loan, <strong>Christopher Nkunku's</strong> minutes looking insecure and a <strong>Dominic Solanke </strong>injury are among the issues FPL managers are dealing with - and a combination of them may make an early Wildcard appealing.</p>
<p>But saving it for another week at least - if possible - may be more rewarding.</p>
<p>An international break follows after Gameweek 3, making a Wildcard this week awkwardly timed.</p>
<p>Injury issues could arise over the period - and often do - although not every reported niggle ends up ruling players out of their next club fixture.</p>
<p>Those playing the chip this week should prepare for a nervy two-week wait after Gameweek 3 ends.</p>

<h2>Who has the best fixtures from FPL Gameweek 3?</h2>
<p>Fulham, Southampton, Aston Villa, Crystal Palace and Liverpool had the best fixture runs last week, according to the <a href="https://www.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/fixture-ticker">Hub's fixture ticker</a>.</p>
<p>But there's been a change at the top, with Villa having the best set of games over the next five gameweeks.</p>
<p>Fulham's trip to Manchester City in Gameweek 7 helps to drop them from 1st to 16th - but they return to the top half over the longer-term, so their players are well worth keeping hold of.</p>
<p>Chelsea notably rise from 11th to second, while Arsenal are third after previously ranking in the bottom half.</p>
<p>The Gunners' fixtures are challenging in Gameweek 4 and 5 but back-to-back home games against promoted clubs afterwards will be hard for FPL managers to ignore.</p>
<p>Brighton have a difficult away game against Arsenal in Gameweek 3 but things improve in Gameweek 3 when Ipswich visit the Amex.</p>
<p>Two straight home matches for Liverpool, after Manchester United away, further demonstrates why many are waiting until Gameweek 4 to activate their Wildcard.</p>

<h2>Best FPL Wildcard team for Gameweek 3: Predicted points</h2>
<p>Last week's <a href="https://www.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/predictions">predicted points</a> chart had <strong>Mohamed Salah </strong>and <strong>Erling Haaland </strong>separated by 0.1, with the Egyptian leading the way.</p>
<p>But Haaland edges ahead over the next five gameweeks, with a larger but still marginal gap of 0.8.</p>
<p>Chelsea's improved fixtures bring <strong>Cole Palmer </strong>into the mix, with the midfielder just over three points behind Haaland.</p>
<p><strong>Bukayo Saka </strong>and <strong>Eberechi Eze </strong>complete the top five and are more than two points ahead of the rest.</p>
<p>Once again, the top 10 is dominated by midfielders, with three forwards and no defenders joining them.</p>
<p><strong>Andrew Robertson </strong>and <strong>Trent Alexander-Arnold </strong>are the only defenders in the top 20, enhancing the potential for a Liverpool double up at the back.</p>
<p>Together with Salah, they are the most highly rated Liverpool trio - something for <strong>Diogo Jota </strong>watchers to consider.</p>
