<h2>Best FPL Wildcard team for Gameweek 26: Fixtures and Wildcard timing</h2>
<p>The fixtures over the next five years are not totally clear, due to uncertainty over Blank Gameweek 29.</p>
<p>The schedule for the blank will not be confirmed until after the Gameweek 26 deadline, with the FA Cup fifth round taking place next week.</p>
<p>Waiting a week to Wildcard may be a sensible move, given the full fixtures for Blank Gameweek 29 will be known ahead of the Gameweek 27 deadline.</p>

<p>As a result of the Gameweek 29 situation, we have looked at the next three gameweeks rather than the usual five.</p>
<p>Bournemouth top the list, with their Double Gameweek 28 games against Luton and Sheffield United looking particularly strong.</p>
<p>Aston Villa and West Ham are two teams who definitely have a game in Blank Gameweek 29. Their players should be good options for those looking to avoid playing their Free Hit in the blank.</p>

<p>West Ham, Villa, Fulham, Tottenham Hotspur, Burnley and Brentford are the teams to target if FPL managers want certainty when playing their Wildcard this week.</p>
<p>Blank Gameweek 26 is also a factor though, with Spurs among those without a game.</p>

<p><strong>Erling Haaland </strong>tops the predicted points list over the next three gameweeks, edging ahead of Gameweek 28 doubler <strong>Dominic Solanke</strong>.</p>
<p>Competition in the forward position is hot, with four making the top five. <strong>Ollie Watkins </strong>is a whisker ahead of <strong>Ivan Toney</strong> over their next three games. Both have a guaranteed game in Blank Gameweek 29.</p>

<h2>The best FPL Gameweek 26 Wildcard team according to Hub AI</h2>
<p>With Blank Gameweek 29 up in the air, the AI focuses its attentions elsewhere for the time being.</p>
<p>It features just three players from the six teams with a guaranteed fixture, something to be mindful of if following its lead. There is a good chance a Free Hit could be required, highlighting the difficulty of reliably wildcarding this week.</p>
<h3>Blank Gameweek 29 players</h3>
<p>Villa full-back <strong>Alex Moreno </strong>plays in Blank Gameweek 29 but also enjoys good fixtures in the meantime, notably Nottingham Forest at home this weekend.</p>
<p>Watkins could come in for Solanke after the Cherries talisman&#8217;s double in Gameweek 28 but for now, <strong>Ivan Toney </strong>is preferred.</p>
<p><strong>Jarrod Bowen (£7.7m) </strong>is another lock for the blank and plays Brentford (H), Everton (A) and Burnley (H) beforehand.</p>

<h3>Looking elsewhere</h3>
<p>Arsenal&#8217;s fixtures are deemed too good to ignore amid the Gunners&#8217; recent results.</p>
<p>They host Newcastle this week, a team who have struggled defensively recently and have the worst expected goals conceded (xGC) since Gameweek 20.</p>
<p>Sheffield United away and Brentford at home follow. Brentford have the second worst recent xGC and Sheffield United have conceded the most goals.</p>
<p>All three should be good opponents for <strong>Bukayo Saka </strong>to continue his fantastic form.</p>
<p>The Gunners have the best defence in the league this season and the AI doubles up on their backline through <strong>Gabriel </strong>and <strong>William</strong> <strong>Saliba</strong>.</p>

<p><strong>Kevin De Bruyne&#8217;s </strong>place in the Wildcard team &#8211; much like the <a href="https://www.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/best-fpl-team-blank-gameweek-26-hub-ai">AI Free Hit 11</a> &#8211; will come down to news from Pep Guardiola&#8217;s press conference.</p>
<p><strong>Son Heung-min </strong>could be a potential replacement once Spurs&#8217; Blank Gameweek 26 is out of the way, given they are guaranteed to play Fulham in Blank Gameweek 29.</p>
<p><strong>Kieran Trippier </strong>makes the bench in the AI Wildcard team, however <strong>Marcos Senesi </strong>of Bournemouth tops the predicted points charts over the next three, thanks in part to his double in Gameweek 28.</p>
<p><strong>Pau Torres </strong>could come in for those looking for security in Gameweek 29, although doubling on the Villa defence and bringing in Watkins later on would block a path to midfielders <strong>Douglas Luiz </strong>and <strong>Leon Bailey</strong>. Torres creeps into the top 10 among defenders for predicted points over the next three weeks.</p>
