FPL managers have unlimited transfers up to the Gameweek 17 deadline (December 26, 11:00) &#8211; but which premium players should we be investing in?
We take a look at the <a href="https://cms.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/opta/" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c="1" title="FPL Stats by OPTA - Player and Team Stats">stats</a> and predicted points for Erling Haaland (£12.2m), Kevin De Bruyne (£12.6m), Harry Kane (£11.6m), Mohamed Salah (12.8m) and Son Heung-min (£11.6m) using the Hub&#8217;s <a href="https://www.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/tools">toolbox</a> to help you pick the best options for your teams.

<h2>Erling Haaland (£12.2m)</h2>
Aside from being the league&#8217;s top scorer with 18 goals in 13 games, Haaland leads the way in almost all the key Opta <a href="https://cms.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/opta/" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c="1" title="FPL Stats by OPTA - Player and Team Stats">stats</a> from an attacking perspective.
Aleksandar Mitrovic (£6.8m) has taken one more shot than the Norwegian but when it comes to shots on target, in the box and big chances, Haaland reigns supreme.
Haaland has overperformed his expected goals (xG) tally of 12.27, however that figure is higher than anyone else&#8217;s total.
The Premier League rookie has been involved in 54% of City&#8217;s goals while on the pitch, ahead of De Bruyne&#8217;s 32%.
He has also created seven big chances for his teammates, registering three assists.
The forward is the game&#8217;s leading FPL points scorer (123) and is bettered only by Kane for bonus points.
Haaland will be expected to play plenty of minutes over the Christmas period, due to the fact he was not at the <a href="https://www.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/fpl-gameweek-17-which-premier-league-players-are-still-at-the-world-cup">World Cup</a>.
City are predicted to score the most goals between Gameweek 17 and 24 and if the pattern of the season so far is repeated, Haaland is likely to be a nailed-on pick in the vast majority of FPL teams.

<h2>Kevin De Bruyne (£12.6m)</h2>
De Bruyne&#8217;s creativity has propelled him to 90 FPL points so far.
The Belgian midfielder tops the assists charts with 10, three ahead of Bukayo Saka (£8.0m). He is running slightly ahead of his expected assists (xA) of 7.57 but like Haaland&#8217;s xG it is a league-leading figure.
A glut of key passes (47) &#8211; 12 more than any other player, has helped fuel this, and as a result he has created 14 big chances. This is six more than Bruno Fernandes (£9.8m) in second.
De Bruyne also tops the charts for total passes in the final third (351), ahead of Joao Cancelo (£7.4m) and Kieran Trippier (£5.9m). His success rate of 70% is however well down the list.
On the flipside, his goal threat is not his strong point. He has three league goals, with an xG of 3.05 &#8211; the lowest of our premium options and barely in the top 50 overall.
A potential two double gameweeks coming up means he has an advantage over others. But he is significantly costlier than the likes of Phil Foden (£8.3m) and Bernardo Silva (£6.9m), which may persuade some to avoid him.
His premium price comes with the assurance of minutes though. Only Ederson (£5.4m) has played more league minutes for City this season.
De Bruyne and Belgian had a poor World Cup, exiting in the group stages, although this does help his cause for being ready for Gameweek 17.

<h2>Harry Kane (£11.6m)</h2>
If it wasn&#8217;t for Haaland, Kane would be top of the pile in most attacking metrics.
He is the only other player to have broken the 100 FPL points mark, with 12 goals from an xG of 11.11 and three assists.
A note of caution, though: Kane is sitting on<a href="https://www.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/fpl-gameweek-17-whos-suspended-and-whos-near-a-one-game-ban"> four yellow cards</a> and another before Spurs play 19 league games will see him miss a match.
Kane returns to Premier League action having had a disappointing end to his World Cup, missing a crucial penalty in the latter stages of England&#8217;s quarter-final exit to France.
FPL managers will approach this blow in one of two ways. They will either back him to bounce back, determined to prove his critics wrong, or avoid him for the time being, citing Salah&#8217;s downturn in form following defeat in the Africa Cup of Nations Final earlier this year.
But casting this aside, Kane is one of the Premier League&#8217;s most in-form players on paper.
Upcoming fixtures include a planned double gameweek in Gameweek 20, with Manchester City and Arsenal in line for Spurs.

<h2>Mohamed Salah (£12.8m)</h2>
Salah hasn&#8217;t had the most impressive season in front of goal by his standards.
He has six goals and four assists to his name, with an xG of 7.97 and xA of 3.69.
The Egyptian has often being used out wide by Jurgen Klopp, however injuries to some of Liverpool&#8217;s other forwards could see him playing in a front two alongside Darwin Nunez (£9.0m) more often during the restart.
Despite sitting well down on the top scorers&#8217; list, Salah is ranked joint-fourth for shots and shots on target (20), so the volume of chances has still be there &#8211; he has had 14 big chances so far.
Salah&#8217;s goal involvement percentage of 36% is higher than that of De Bruyne&#8217;s (32%) and Son&#8217;s (19%) but lower than that of Haaland (54%) and Kane (48%).
Liverpool have no double gameweeks coming up but do rank second highest for predicted goals scored , according to the Hub&#8217;s fixture ticker, so there could still be plenty of returns for the three-time golden boot winner.
Salah, like Haaland, comes into the restart rested having not been at the World Cup.

<h2>Son Heung-min (£11.6m)</h2>
After a standout season which saw him rank as top scorer, with 23 goals, Son has had a comparatively quiet campaign.
The South Korean has just three goals and two assists in 13 games, with his minutes suffering as Antonio Conte rotated his squad,
An injury to Richarlison (£8.4m) could help in this regard though, although the <a href="https://cms.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/opta/" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c="1" title="FPL Stats by OPTA - Player and Team Stats">stats</a> are unlikely to see Son favoured in many FPL teams ahead of his fellow premiums.
His actual goal involvement of 19% is quite a bit less than his 29% expected goal involvement percentage, suggesting he has slightly underperformed, although his xG and xA (4.2/2.67) are only marginally in front of his actual returns.
Son played at the World Cup with a protective mask after he fractured an eye socket in the run up to the tournament. He assisted one goal in his four games.
It may be a case of monitoring Son over the festive period to see if he can improve his form, with Double Gameweek 20 potentially the time to reevaluate him.

Premium picks make up the top five predicted points scorers between Gameweek 17 and 23.
The table is dominated by double gameweekers &#8211; with City currently scheduled to have two in this period and Spurs one.
Haaland and De Bruyne therefore lead the way, while Kane and Son make up the rest of the top four.

<h2>Best and worst fixtures for premium FPL players</h2>
Here is how the fixtures rank in order for City, Spurs and Liverpool.
The double gameweek could present an opportunity to move from a Liverpool premium to a Spurs or City option, although it is worth noting that the ticker still ranks Liverpool third for fixture strength when narrowed down to Gameweek 17-19.
