<h2>Best Sunderland FPL players 2025/26: Simon Adingra (£5.5m)</h2>

<p>Ivory Coast international Adingra impressed during his time at Brighton, but found himself the victim of rotation due to the Seagulls&#8217; various wide options.</p>
<p>At Sunderland, he will hope to become a mainstay on the left wing, and having played 90 minutes with the first team there in a recent friendly, that looks to be the reality.</p>
<p><strong>Chemsdine Talbi </strong>on the other side is priced slightly lower, but is less established than Adingra and will face competition from <strong>Patrick Roberts</strong>.</p>

<p>Adingra looks like the most surefire way into the Black Cats&#8217; attack, and his price is reasonable enough that he could certainly be considered for Sunderland&#8217;s opening run, having already grabbed a pre-season assist.</p>
<p>West Ham at home is followed by Burnley away, and then Brentford who will still be adapting to the loss of Thomas Frank.</p>
<p>There are much worse places to look in midfield for the opening three, with Adingra having already showcased his ability to produce goals and assists for Brighton, as well as on loan in Germany.</p>

<h2>Best Sunderland FPL players 2025/26: Granit Xhaka (£5.0m)</h2>
<p>Former Arsenal man Xhaka has returned to the Premier League, and should be a huge boost to the Sunderland midfield.</p>
<p>Xhaka has been a specialist in terms of penalties and set-pieces in the past, and brings plenty of open play creativity, as well as being no stranger to a long range effort.</p>
<p>All of this has translated to Xhaka being a strong FPL option in the past, although it&#8217;s worth remembering the number of yellow and red cards the Swiss picked up for the Gunners too.</p>

<p>The most recent Premier League <a href="https://cms.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/opta/" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c="1" title="FPL Stats by OPTA - Player and Team Stats">stats</a> for Xhaka come from the 2022/23 season with Arsenal, where he managed an impressive seven goals and eight assists.</p>
<p>Xhaka&#8217;s defensive contributions are not to be sniffed at either, and as such the Switzerland man could pick up plenty of additional points outside of his attacking returns.</p>
<p>All of this for just £5.0m make Xhaka one of the more compelling options at his price point, although his long-term minutes remain to be seen.</p>

<h2>Best Sunderland FPL players 2025/26: Marc Guiu (£4.5m)</h2>
<p>Former Barcelona man Guiu arrives at the Stadium of Light with a point to prove, and his price will be of interest to FPL managers.</p>
<p>As things stand, Guiu looks like the £4.5m forward with the best chance of starting, and as such he could be the perfect budget enabler.</p>
<p>He will compete with <strong>Eliezer</strong> <strong>Mayenda </strong>and <strong>Wilson Isidor </strong>for the starting spot, but the Spaniard looks the likeliest to lead the line as things stand, with Mayenda also capable of playing a supporting role.</p>
<p>Guiu looks to have the physical attributes to compete in the Premier League, and his total minutes will likely dwarf that of most other forwards at this price point.</p>
<p>Sunderland have a couple more <a href="https://www.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/fpl-pre-season-results-guide/">pre-season</a> games to come over the weekend, so it&#8217;s worth keeping an eye on Sunderland&#8217;s lineup and Guiu&#8217;s performance.</p>
