Before we start, here&#8217;s a quick look at the numbers behind our choices.
Based on the world ranking of the teams in each group, we can see which nations have the &#8216;easiest&#8217; group on paper.
The highest quality teams, such as Brazil and France, are shown in green, while the weakest teams are in red.

<h2>1. Netherlands</h2>
World Ranking: 8th 
Fixtures: Senegal, Ecuador, Qatar
The Netherlands look to have the best group on paper, with no obvious threat to their progress.
Somewhat fortunately for them, Qatar as hosts were classified as a pot one team.
In fact, based on our colour code, they are the only country with two &#8216;red&#8217; teams in their group.
The Dutch are solid at the back and lethal in attack, so Memphis, Virgil, and the rest of the gang could be key components of our fantasy teams.
The Oranje will be strong favourites to win all three group games, although their opening match against AFCON winners Senegal likely provides the toughest challenge, which is unfortunate from a fantasy perspective.

<h2>2. Argentina</h2>
World Ranking: 3rd
Fixtures: Saudi Arabia, Mexico, Poland
Argentina&#8217;s fixtures look promising, and you probably wouldn&#8217;t want to go without Lionel Messi in their opening game against Saudi Arabia.
This could be a good fixture for fantasy managers to invest in, because if Argentina don&#8217;t impress in the first game, it makes the decision easier to jump off their assets, with tougher fixtures against Mexico and Poland to come.

<h2>3. France</h2>
World Ranking: 4th
Fixtures: Australia, Denmark, Tunisia
Kylian Mbappe and co. should have no problems with Australia in their opening match, although they then face off against a respectable Denmark team &#8211; who recently beat France twice in the Nations League, and are ranked 10th in the world.
They finish their group against Tunisia however, and overall, you would expect the French to score a hatful of goals across these three games.
There&#8217;s plenty of clean sheet potential on offer too, given the quality of France&#8217;s defenders and the relative attacking levels of the teams in their group.

<h2>4. Belgium</h2>
World Ranking: 2nd
Fixtures: Canada, Morocco, Croatia
Belgium&#8217;s first couple of fixtures look excellent from an attacking perspective, and the likes of De Bruyne and Lukaku will be licking their lips.
Croatia should provide a much sterner test for the Belgians, but overall their group suggests plenty of goals will be on offer &#8211; let&#8217;s not forget they&#8217;re the second highest ranked team in the world.
You also wouldn&#8217;t be surprised to see Thibaut Courtois keep a couple of clean sheets, with Belgium likely to dominate possession against their Group F opponents.

<h2>5. Brazil</h2>
World Ranking: 1st
Fixtures: Serbia, Switzerland, Cameroon
Brazil will be confident going into their group, although it is by no means a walk in the park, with Serbia and Switzerland likely to provide stern tests.
The Selecao are the top ranked team on the planet however, and they should find a way past these opponents.
Their final group game is against Cameroon, who are ranked 43rd in the world, so this could be the one to target for a big haul.
All three opponents are likely to provide a solid match for the Brazilians, but regardless they are still likely to produce fantasy points at both ends of the pitch, and you&#8217;d back them for plenty of goals, such is the calibre of their squad.

<h2>1. England</h2>
World Ranking: 5th
Fixtures: Iran, USA, Wales
Whilst England&#8217;s pre-tournament form has been less than inspiring, their group should present some opportunities for points.
Somewhat surprisingly however, England actually have the toughest group, based on the world rankings of their opponents.
With Iran at 20th, Wales at 19th, and the USA at 16th, these games may present a more difficult prospect than many are expecting.
You&#8217;d expect all three of England&#8217;s opponents to leak goals however, and as long as Gareth Southgate doesn&#8217;t field eight defenders, Harry Kane and his teammates could be in for some big hauls.
Jordan Pickford will also be looking for a big tournament, with some promising clean sheet opportunities in Group B.

<h2>2. Portugal</h2>
World Ranking: 9th
Fixtures: South Korea, Uruguay, Ghana
Portugal have a decent group, and if they can find some attacking fluidity with Bruno Fernandes and Bernardo Silva feeding Cristiano Ronaldo, there could be fantasy points to be had.
With a decent opening fixture against South Korea, we&#8217;re presented with a good opportunity to grab an asset or two from the Portuguese, to evaluate before potentially taking them into a somewhat tougher game against Uruguay.
Their final fixture is an enticing one however, against the lowest ranked team at the tournament &#8211; Ghana.

<h2>3. Denmark</h2>
World Ranking: 10th
Fixtures: Tunisia, France, Australia
Although Denmark share a group with the almighty France, their other two fixtures look great.
This is where fantasy managers can perhaps be tactical, by picking a bench player with a good second fixture, who can then be rotated with a Denmark asset in order to avoid the France game.
Australia and Tunisia are ranked 38th and 30th respectively, so targeting this pair of fixtures could make someone like Christian Eriksen an excellent fantasy pick.
