<p>Telegraph Fantasy Football (TFF) is back for 2025/26 &#8211; but who were the star performers of last season to keep an eye out for?</p>

<h2>Overall top scorers</h2>
<h3>🥇Mohamed Salah &#8211; 274 points</h3>
<p>Salah was well clear of the rest, scoring 29 goals and assisting 18.</p>
<p>No player scored more points per game than the Liverpool talisman&#8217;s 7.21 &#8211; <strong>Alexander Isak </strong>was around 1.5 behind him.</p>
<p>Classified as a striker in Telegraph, Salah was the second priciest player at £7.2m.</p>
<p>He justified his premium price tag more than the £8.5m <strong>Erling Haaland </strong>however, with the Norwegian managing just 188 points &#8211; a poor return by his standards.</p>

<h3>🥈Alexander Isak &#8211; 208 points</h3>
<p>Isak scored 24 goals and added six assists, helping him to become the only other player to pass the 200 points mark.</p>
<p>The Newcastle striker, priced at £5.1m, offered similar value to Salah from a Telegraph perspective.</p>
<p>He managed 40.78 points per million, just ahead of Salah&#8217;s 38.06.</p>
<p>His future is uncertain heading into Gameweek 1 &#8211; will the Magpies&#8217; star man secure a dream move to Liverpool?</p>

<h3>🥉Bryan Mbeumo &#8211; 199 points</h3>
<p>Mbeumo completed a clean sweep for the strikers in the top-scoring chart.</p>
<p>A personal best 20 goal campaign also included nine assists, making him an excellent-value pick at £3.9m.</p>
<p>The Brentford forward&#8217;s form attracted attention from other Premier League clubs, leading to him joining Manchester United in the summer transfer window.</p>
<h2>Best-value Telegraph picks: Points per million</h2>
<h3>🥇Daniel Munoz &#8211; 68.89</h3>
<p>Crystal Palace wing-back Munoz impressed in both the league and FA Cup run.</p>
<p>Six goals and seven assists were combined with 16 clean sheets for the Colombian, who topped the value stakes in 2025/26.</p>
<p>Eagles manager Oliver Glasner played a strong lineup throughout their winning FA Cup run, making Palace picks fine options in the latter stages of the season.</p>
<p>Munoz was priced at £2.7m &#8211; a no-brainer option given his attacking threat and volume of games.</p>

<h3>🥈Dean Henderson &#8211; 65.36</h3>
<p>Henderson was another valuable member of the Palace squad.</p>
<p>He kept 14 clean sheets, made 117 saves (sixth) and kept two penalties out &#8211; including one in the FA Cup final against Manchester City.</p>
<p>The former Manchester United shot-stopper was similarly priced to Munoz at £2.8m and has had only a slight increase to £3.1m this season.</p>
<h3>🥉Antoine Semenyo &#8211; 57.86</h3>
<p>Semenyo scored 13 and assisted nine as a £2.8m striker.</p>
<p>Hot competition for the striker spots kept him out of many Telegraph teams but his and Mbeumo&#8217;s success demonstrated that there were options beyond the most expensive picks.</p>

<h2>Telegraph bonus: Top tacklers</h2>
<h3>🥇Idrissa Gueye &#8211; 135</h3>
<p>Gueye ended the season on 0.3% ownership but offered those seeking a bargain a steady 3.46 points per game.</p>
<p>The Everton defensive midfielder was almost exclusively about the bonus points, with just three assists to show for attacking returns.</p>
<h3>🥈Joao Gomes &#8211; 127</h3>
<p>Gomes made 136 tackles in 2023/24, ranking second among all midfielders.</p>
<p>He was identified in pre-season as a potential budget enabler, with his price remaining under £3.0m.</p>
<p>And having practically matched his tackle total, he indeed offered value at his price point.</p>
<p>The Wolves player added four goals and two assists, earning 143 Telegraph points and 49.31 points per million.</p>
<p>Gomes is set to be a superb enabler once again, with his price just £0.1m more at £3.1m.</p>
<h3>🥉Moises Caicedo &#8211; 122</h3>
<p>Caicedo was the third of four players to reach 100 or more tackles, with the other being <strong>Tyler Adams</strong>.</p>
<p>He contributed one goal and four assists, making his bonus potential the most appealing aspect of his Telegraph offer.</p>
<p>But coming in at a higher price point than both Gueye and Gomes, his value was not as good.</p>

<h2>Telegraph bonus: Most saves</h2>
<h3>🥇Mark Flekken &#8211; 153</h3>
<p>No goalkeeper was busier than Flekken, who was limited to seven clean sheets.</p>
<p>The Dutchman was the fifth highest-scoring goalkeeper in the game but will not be an option this season after securing a transfer to Bayer Leverkusen.</p>
<p>Liverpool&#8217;s <strong>Caoimhin Kelleher </strong>has joined the Bees and is expected to take over as number one.</p>
<h3>🥈Matz Sels &#8211; 132</h3>
<p>Sels had a standout season, keeping the joint-most clean sheets in Telegraph alongside Henderson (14).</p>
<p>Having been one of the busiest keepers too, he was a key part of making Nuno Espirito Santo&#8217;s side so hard to break down.</p>
<p>Sels earned 182 Telegraph points, one behind Henderson.</p>
<h3>🥉Jordan Pickford/Aaron Ramsdale &#8211; 126</h3>
<p>Everton&#8217;s Pickford and Southampton&#8217;s Ramsdale shared third place for saves.</p>
<p>Pickford was the higher overall scorer, ranking third among goalkeepers (178).</p>
<p>His 12 clean sheets were the separator, with the relegated Ramsdale 10 behind.</p>
