<h2>Best FPL fixtures</h2>
<h3>🥇Nottingham Forest</h3>
<p>Forest have the best opening set of games, including Brentford, West Ham and Sunderland at the City Ground.</p>
<p>Arsenal away in Gameweek 4 is a challenging fixture, however no team in the league has a perfect run.</p>
<p>This is overridden by Forest facing two promoted teams, with Burnley (A) before welcoming Sunderland.</p>
<p>The Tricky Trees slightly over-performed defensively last season on their way to keeping the second most clean sheets (13), however their defenders will likely be popular picks come Gameweek 1.</p>
<p><strong>Chris Wood </strong>had a standout season, scoring 20 goals against an expected goals (xG) tally of 13.56. He too could be well owned.</p>

<h3>🥈Sunderland</h3>
<p>The playoff winners have the kindest start of the promoted teams, with their six rated as good as Forest&#8217;s.</p>
<p>They play Aston Villa (H) and Forest (A) in Gameweek 5 and 6 but the rest of their opponents finished last season in 10th or below.</p>
<p>Promoted Burnley (A) also forms part of their starting set.</p>
<p>The issue for FPL managers is that the Black Cats&#8217; squad is unlikely to provide much appeal going into Gameweek 1. A budget defender to pad out squads may well be the limit unless they defy expectations.</p>

<h3>🥉Aston Villa</h3>
<p>Villa play Newcastle (H) in Gameweek 1, the team who pipped them to a Champions League place on goal difference.</p>
<p>Once that game is out of the way though, their run looks as good as anyone&#8217;s.</p>
<p>Brentford (A) is somewhat of an unknown given longstanding manager Thomas Frank&#8217;s departure but fixtures against Crystal Palace (H), Sunderland (A) and Fulham (H) are highly rated by the ticker.</p>

<h2>Worst FPL fixtures</h2>
<h3>🥇Newcastle</h3>
<p>With three of last season&#8217;s top six to start 2025/26, Eddie Howe&#8217;s team have the toughest test.</p>
<p>Leeds (A) and Wolves (H) could offer some relief between Gameweek 3 and 4 but aside from that, even <strong>Alexander Isak </strong>could be one to avoid early on.</p>
<p>Villa (A) and Liverpool (H), as well as Bournemouth (A) and Arsenal (H) are about as tough as it gets, although at least the Liverpool and Arsenal fixtures are at St James&#8217; Park.</p>

<h3>🥈Arsenal</h3>
<p>Arsenal&#8217;s home game against Leeds in Gameweek 2 is among the best fixtures in the first six gameweeks &#8211; but aside from that, it&#8217;s looking pretty grim.</p>
<p>Liverpool (A), Manchester City (H) and Newcastle (A) are not appealing from either a defensive or attacking view, while Manchester United (A) in Gameweek 1 could go either way.</p>
<p>FPL managers will probably want some Gunners coverage for the Leeds game, however tripling up may not pay off outside this.</p>

<h3>🥉Leeds</h3>
<p>Promoted clubs have had it tough in recent campaigns, with all three going straight back down in the last two seasons.</p>
<p>Championship winners Leeds could stop the rot with a strong summer of spending but many FPL fans will still look to target them.</p>
<p>And while United and Burnley have fixture runs to rival Leeds&#8217; poor start, it&#8217;s Daniel Farke&#8217;s men who ranked third bottom of the ticker overall.</p>
<p>Arsenal (A), Newcastle (H) and Bournemouth (H), along with testing trips to Fulham and Wolves, are included in their first six fixtures.</p>
<p>Everton (H) in Gameweek 1 offers a chance of getting off to a good start, according to the ticker.</p>
