<p>Burnley host Leicester in their second fixture of Blank Gameweek 27 with the Foxes without a league win in five. Over the last six, Leicester have registered just one clean sheet and conceded ten goals demonstrating <a href="https://www.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/opta">awful underlying defensive numbers</a>.</p>
<p>Leicester rank worst for shots in the box conceded (70) and second-worst for big chances conceded (21) over the last six. <p><strong>Ben Mee (£4.8m)</strong> proved the match-winner against Spurs and leads Clarets defenders for goal attempts (7) over the last six. All Mee’s shots have come from inside the box (7) hitting the target on two occasions over the period.</p>
<p>Surprisingly, Mee leads the Burnley defence for big chances (2) creating <a href="https://www.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/opta">three key passes</a> over the last six matches. Ben Mee ranks best among Burnley defenders for expected goals (0.46), expected assists (1.06), and expected goal involvement (1.5).</p>

<p><strong>James Tarkowski (£4.9m)</strong> returned from Covid to start against Spurs but has lacked the recent goal threat of counterpart Mee. <p>Ivorian international<strong> Maxwel Cornet (£5.9m)</strong> did not make the match squad against Spurs following an Achilles injury suffered against Brighton.</p>
<p>Cornet has been an attacking bright spark for the Clarets this term with six goals despite reduced minutes. Over his last six, Cornet has mustered <a href="https://www.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/opta">seven shots in the box</a> finding the target on five occasions.</p>
<p>Cornet has <a href="https://www.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/opta">four attempts from set-pieces</a> highlighting his dead-ball appeal with a postage stamp free-kick goal against Leeds. Dutch giant <strong>Wout Weghorst (£6.5m)</strong> appears to be the Burnley attacking option of choice and looks like a shrewd investment for the Clarets.</p>
<p>In five league appearances, the former Wolfsburg target-man has scored once and provided two assists for his teammates. Over the period, Weghorst has attempted ten shots with seven of these coming from inside the area.</p>
<p>Surprisingly, the Dutchman has <a href="https://www.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/opta">created five chances and one big chance</a> for his counterparts demonstrating multiple routes to FPL points.</p>

<p>Given the recently improved defensive production of Burnley, a double-defence approach is recommended with Nick Pope the premier option. Ben Mee leads his counterparts for both goal threat and creative underlying numbers and is my preferred choice over James Tarkowski or Connor Roberts.</p>
<p>It is a question of either or in attack and Wout Weghorst gets the nod over the exciting Maxwell Cornet. Concerns remain over minutes for Cornet and Weghorst will provide frightening opposition for Crystal Palace and Leicester who struggle aerially.</p>
