<p>This article will provide FPL tips to help managers break the template and achieve that desirable Top 10k finish. All data used is courtesy of the <a href="https://fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/opta?via=hibbo">Hub&#8217;s OPTA Stats tool</a>.</p>
<h2>Fixtures: Breaking The FPL Template Double Gameweek 34</h2>
<p>Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea rank best on Hub’s overall fixture difficulty ticker for the remainder of the Fantasy Premier League season. The Blues’ 2-0 defeat of Crystal Palace in the FA Cup semi-final brings their assets immediately into focus, following the confirmation of Double Gameweek 34.</p>
<p>In this imminent double-header, Chelsea host London rivals West Ham, before travelling to face a Manchester United side in turmoil. The Hammers’ attack ranks over the period tenth for minutes per expected goal (68.3) but the Hammers have faced Burnley, Brentford, Everton and Aston Villa in that spell.</p>
<p>Defensively, West Ham have failed to register a clean sheet over the last six, ranking fifth-worst for minutes per expected goals conceded (51.7). Over the period, the Hammers displayed zonal weakness, ranking joint-worst for crosses conceded for their right-flank (89).</p>
<p>Ralf Rangnick’s Manchester United toiled to victory over Norwich, and suffered a comprehensive defeat to Liverpool in Double Gameweek 33. In attack, the Red Devils rely heavily on <strong>Cristiano Ronaldo (£12.2m)</strong> and rank worst for minutes per expected goals (108.5) over the last six.</p>
<p>Defensively, Manchester United are without a clean sheet in six, and rank third-worst for goals conceded (14) over the period. Manchester United have demonstrated zonal weakness ranking fourth-worst for crosses conceded (64) and second-worst for chances conceded (28) from the right flank.</p>
<p>The favourable fixtures continue for the Blues beyond Double Gameweek 34, with Chelsea facing the following low-level opposition: Everton, Leeds, Wolves, Leicester and Watford. Expected minutes for Chelsea assets are an important consideration, with rotation most likely against Leeds in Double Gameweek 36.</p>
<p>However, should Manchester City “double” in Gameweek 36, minutes for Chelsea assets will be a moot point for those playing a Free Hit.</p>
<h2>Data: Breaking The FPL Template Double Gameweek 34</h2>
<p>In attack, Chelsea have scored in their last nine consecutive league games, and rank second-best for minutes per expected goal (44.8) over the last six. Over the period, the Blues rank first for goals (17), shots on target (39), and big chances (19).</p>
<p>Chelsea’s defensive failings have been brutally exposed, conceding four goals to both Arsenal and Brentford in the last three. Over the last six, the Blues rank joint-second best for shots on target conceded (16) but tenth-best for minutes per expected goals conceded (75.6).</p>

<h2>Defenders: Breaking The FPL Template Double Gameweek 34</h2>
<p>The returns of <strong>Reece James (£6.3m)</strong> have been either famine or feast, but the right wing-back remains an explosive option. On season per 90-minute numbers, James is Chelsea’s dominant attacking defender ranking first for expected goals (0.19) and expected assists (0.26).</p>
<p>Tuchel has recently deployed James in a right centre-back role, which has increased his prospect of game-time but decreases his chances of attacking returns. James returned to his preferred right wing-back berth for the final 30 minutes against Arsenal, hopefully signalling the end of the positional experiment.</p>
<p><strong>Marcos Alonso (£5.5m)</strong> has returned to starting line-up in an attacking left wing-back role and Chelsea have limited competition in that position. In the absence of Ben Chilwell, the Spaniard has started 13 from a possible 19 league games, averaging 71 minutes per appearance.</p>
<p>Alonso ranks second-best among Chelsea defenders on season per 90 numbers for expected goals (0.14) and expected assists (0.23). Those with confidence in the Spaniard’s game-time will relish favourable match-ups against both West Ham and Manchester United, who are zonally weak on their right flank.</p>
<p><strong>Antonio Rudiger (£6.2m)</strong> usually represents the steady pick for those who prefer assured minutes over high-ceiling upside &amp; attacking returns. However, the German missed Chelsea’s match with Arsenal because of a groin injury, with Tuchel stating that Rudiger could likely miss the West Ham fixture.</p>
<p>Rudiger is currently owned by 28% of the top 10k, with ownership of Chelsea defence totalling approximately 60%.</p>
<h2>Attackers: Breaking The FPL Template Double Gameweek 34</h2>
<p><strong>Mason Mount (£7.6m)</strong> is the top-scoring Chelsea player in Fantasy Premier League, and has flown under the radar with ten goals and ten assists this season. Mount’s returns have been both sporadic and explosive, with five double-digit hauls returning 54% of his total season points.</p>
<p>Over the last six, Mount ranks first among his Chelsea colleagues for corners taken (24) underlining his dead-ball potential. <strong>Kai Havertz (£7.9m)</strong> has usurped <strong>Romelu Lukaku (£11.4m)</strong> as Chelsea’s strike option of choice, demonstrating impressive expected goal involvement (4.90) over the last six.</p>
<p>Havertz ranks first among Chelsea colleagues for shots in the box (14), big chances (7), and shots on target (11) over the period. FPL managers keen on changing one of their forward slots may be enticed by the hipster’s choice &#8211; <strong>Timo Werner (£8.6m)</strong>.</p>

<p>In conclusion, Chelsea’s recent defensive frailties’ and attacking endeavour encourage a more attack-minded approach to their Double Gameweek 34 assets. My recommended play is an explosive midfield double-up on the recently rested <strong>Kai Havertz</strong> and ever-consistent <strong>Mason Mount</strong>.</p>
<p><strong>Reece James</strong> is my defender of choice and hopefully, a return to right-wing back will deliver high-ceiling returns.</p>
