<h2>Champions League Fantasy Round of 16 – Second Leg: Team Review </h2>
A Matchday defined by none other than the Champions League Fantasy king Erling Haaland (€11.0) and his eye popping 5 goals in 63 minutes, which was good enough for 25 points.
I am fortunate to have at least owned him but not having him as captain contributed to my red arrow going from 1.6k to 2.3k overall, finishing on 106 points.
I knew Haaland had the potential to do damage, but I would be lying if I thought he would score 5. I ended up sticking with my captain Joao Mario (€6.3) who scored 11 points. I was happy to hold before the Norwegian played.

My defence performed admirably, with clean sheets from Federico Dimarco (€4.6m), Giovanni Di Lorenzo (€5.1m), Reece James (€6.2m) and my goalkeeper Ederson (€6.0m).
Alejandro Grimaldo (€5.3m) also chipped in with a goal from the backline.
My midfield continues to let me down.
I had blanks from Khvicha Kvaratskhelia (€5.9m) and Kingsley Coman (€8.0m) but did manage an assist from Vinicius Junior (€10.0m).
As mentioned, my captain stayed on the Benfica man Mario, who had a goal and assist to finish on 11 points, which was well within my threshold for holding the captaincy.
Victor Osimhen (€7.9) scored twice, but the aforementioned Haaland and his 5 goals contributed to my red arrow even while owning him.
In the end, Kylian Mbappe’s (€11.5m) ownership of over 40% got in my head just enough to transfer him in for his blank, and transfer out Karim Benzema (€10.7) who scored for Real Madrid.

<h2>Champions League Fantasy Quarter-finals – First Leg: Team Preview </h2>
Heading into the Quarterfinals, UCL Fantasy managers receive 5 free transfers before the first games kick off.
Looking at my team, I have 3 players who have been knocked out and will need to be replaced.
It also appears that Dimarco and Coman are now doubts to start, however we will get to see both lineups before the deadline so I am hoping at least one of them will start.
One of my strikers, Osimhen, is also flagged with an injury, but has an outside chance to start. The issue for owners is Napoli play on the second day which could be a risk if we don’t get sufficient news before the deadline.
A further complication with my team is that my goalkeepers Odysseas Vlachodimos (€5.0m) and Ederson play on the same day, limiting my chances for clean sheet points.
Even with 5 free transfers, mine will be out of necessity instead of luxury and I still may only get 14 players out with goalkeepers playing on the same day.

<h2>Champions League Fantasy Quarter-finals – First leg: Transfers </h2>
My transfers will be highly dependent on the Tuesday lineups, however I will outline my rough plan. I will make sure to post my final lineup on <a href="https://twitter.com/kwolf_ff">Twitter</a> before the deadline.
Getting rid of my players whose teams have been kicked out will be my priority.
Karim Benzema (€10.7) for Mbappe will be my first transfer. Real Madrid play Chelsea and I can see him scoring in both games. The Ballon D’or holder defines big games.
Kim Min-jae (€4.6m) for Guerriero will be my second transfer. Napoli have been solid defensively all year and he is nailed to start. I also like Napoli’s chances of progressing to the semifinals as well.

If Dimarco is benched (which he most likely will be) I will look to replace him with another cheap Inter Milan defender such as Francesco Acerbi (€4.4m) or Matteo Darmian (€4.2m).
Ideally, I would like a Real Madrid defender, but might be priced out due to my other transfers. I would target Eder Militao (€5.5m) and I think he is the most nailed in the backline.
I could also keep Dimarco and hope for points off the bench, and transfer in the Real Madrid keeper.
Kevin De Bruyne is my main midfield target for the non-playing Jude Bellingham (€7.5). He seems to be rounding form in the league and I can see Manchester City scoring a few against Bayern Munich.
I could look at a cheaper option in Jack Grealish (€7.9) to upgrade elsewhere if needed. Managers will get to see the lineups so this can help when selecting a cheaper Manchester City midfielder.
Coman may also need to be dealt with as he isn’t certain to start.
