<p>Gameweek 10 is over and Fantasy Premier League (FPL) managers are busy making transfers &#8211; but who were the biggest under-performers of the week and who scored more points than they should have?</p>
<p>Every season, we see the biggest haulers of the previous gameweek brought into hundreds of thousands of teams.</p>
<p>But the secret to success in FPL is to jump on players who are about to score more points &#8211; not chasing points.</p>
<p>So with this in mind, we&#8217;re taking a look at the expected points for FPL Gameweek 10 and highlighting those who were fortunate to score well &#8211; and who perhaps could have netted a haul themselves. We&#8217;ll also examine an early list of the most popular transfers in and out.</p>

<h2>Popular FPL transfers in</h2>
<p><strong>Eddie Nketiah (£5.5m) </strong>is the most popular transfer in ahead of Gameweek 11, followed by <strong>Bryan Mbeumo (£6.6m) </strong>and <strong>Douglas Luiz (£5.6m)</strong>.</p>
<p>All three returned in Gameweek 10, with Nketiah&#8217;s hat-trick the pick of the bunch.</p>
<p>Luiz has four yellow cards though, just one away from a one-match ban, which could see owners regretting their decision to bring him in at this stage despite his form.</p>
<p><strong>Son Heung-min (£9.6m) </strong>and <strong>Ollie Watkins (£8.4m) </strong>continue to attract investment after several recent <a href="https://www.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/fantasy-premier-league-price-rises">price rises</a>.</p>

<h2>Popular FPL transfers out</h2>
<p>An injury to <strong>Alexander Isak (£7.4m) </strong>has seen him become the most popular transfer out so far.</p>
<p><strong>Destiny Udogie (£4.8m) </strong>was also absent in Gameweek 10 through injury. Although he could be back for Gameweek 11, Tottenham Hotspur sit in the bottom three for <a href="https://www.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/fixture-ticker">fixtures</a> over the next four weeks.</p>
<p><strong>Martin Odegaard (£8.5m) </strong>being benched was the last straw for more than 133,000 managers, while a hamstring problem for <strong>Pedro Neto (£5.8m) </strong>has seen him ditched from nearly 122,000 teams.</p>
<p><strong>Pervis Estupinan (£5.0m) </strong>continues to lose owners having been out injured for around a month &#8211; but <strong>Kaoru Mitoma (£6.5m) </strong>in sixth place is somewhat of a surprise given Brighton&#8217;s strong upcoming fixtures.</p>
<p>The Japanese had a big chance and created another in the 1-1 draw with Fulham.</p>

<h2>Gameweek 10 over-performers</h2>
<p><strong>Ethan Pinnock (£4.5m) </strong>scored a goal and kept a clean sheet against Chelsea, topping the over-performance list.</p>
<p>While his goal came against an xG of 0.3, it was Brentford avoiding conceding that boosted his over-performance.</p>
<p>Chelsea had the seventh-highest xG of the week (2.03), having missed two big chances.</p>
<p>A hat-trick for Nketiah against Sheffield United was two goals more than his xGI. His third, from 25 yards out, would have registered particularly low in xG terms.</p>
<p>His over-performance has led him to becoming the number-one transfer target ahead of Gameweek 11. And although the Gunners will not be playing Sheffield United every week, the fact <strong>Gabriel Jesus (£7.8m) </strong>is set for a period on the sidelines makes Nketiah a strong budget pick up front.</p>
<p>With Newcastle away in Gameweek 11, it is perhaps not the best week to invest in him, but Burnley at home in Gameweek 12 looks a much more inviting entry point.</p>
<p><strong>Moussa Diaby (£6.7m) </strong>had an xGI of 0.6 but returned a goal and an assist, with the latter coming from Luton&#8217;s <strong>Tom Lockyer (£4.3m) </strong>turning the Villa midfielder&#8217;s cross into his own net.</p>
<p>Watkins remains the more popular Villa attacker to own though, with Diaby outside the top 10 transfers in.</p>

<p>Watkins was the biggest over-performer of his expected points before Gameweek 10 began.</p>
<p>The Aston Villa forward had bettered his expected points by 28.4, largely because his eight assists eclipsed his xA of 0.79.</p>
<p>But the opposite was true in Gameweek 10, with him blanking despite registered an xGI of 1.4.</p>
<p>He twice teed up <strong>Nicolo Zaniolo (£5.5m)</strong>, one of which was marked by Opta as a big chance, while he missed a big chance of his own from a <strong>Matty Cash (£5.2m) </strong>cross.</p>

<p>The 6.2 point under-performance has dropped him to second on the over-performance charts, with <strong>Son Heung-min (£9.6m) </strong>leading for the season.</p>
<p>The appearance of <strong>Cole Palmer (£5.0m) </strong>will interest both his owners and those looking for a replacement for <strong>Pedro Neto (£5.8m)</strong>.</p>
<p>The Chelsea midfielder made four key passes, creating one big chance, and missed a big chance of his own in the Blues&#8217; loss to Brentford.</p>
<p>With <strong>Nicolas Jackson (£6.8m)</strong> in the side, Palmer was not playing the false nine role as he had done in Gameweek 9.</p>
<p>He was still able to get involved in plenty of the action though, as his <a href="https://cms.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/opta/" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c="1" title="FPL Stats by OPTA - Player and Team Stats">stats</a> and heatmap show. His average position was also slightly in front of Jackson.</p>
<p>Challenging fixtures have perhaps kept Palmer out of the top ten transfers in. Chelsea&#8217;s next few games include trips to Spurs and Newcastle, sandwiched between hosting Manchester City.</p>
<p>But at his price, Palmer could be the pick of the budget midfielders, especially if he retains penalties.</p>
