Gameweek 8 is over and Fantasy Premier League (FPL) managers are busy making transfers &#8211; but who were the biggest under-performers of the week and who scored more points than they should have?
Every season, we see the biggest haulers of the previous gameweek brought into hundreds of thousands of teams.
But the secret to success in FPL is to jump on players who are about to score more points &#8211; not chasing points.
So with this in mind, we&#8217;re taking a look at the expected points for FPL Gameweek 8 and highlighting those who were fortunate to score well &#8211; and who perhaps could have netted a haul themselves. We&#8217;ll also examine an early list of the most popular transfers in and out.

<h2>Transfer bandwagons and knee-jerks</h2>
The international break has not put hundreds of thousands of FPL managers off making early moves.
Mohamed Salah (£12.6m) is the most popular bandwagon after a star performance against Brighton that saw him net two goals and maximum bonus.
An enticing fixture run of Everton and Nottingham Forest at home, followed by Luton away, is up next for the Egyptian, going some way to explaining the rush to sign him in FPL.
The early transfer activity means Salah is halfway to a price rise, according to our <a href="https://www.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/fantasy-premier-league-price-rises">price changes prediction tool</a>.
This could force those with restricted budget into an earlier-than-ideal move &#8211; but keep an eye on our predictor for an indication of when he could reach £12.7m.

Ollie Watkins (£8.1m) was the highest points scorer in Gameweek 7. Although an assist was the extent of his returns in Gameweek 8, his stock continues to rise.
Alexander Isak (£7.5m) is now in 21.6% of FPL teams and is the third most transferred in after two goals against West Ham.
Fitness concerns over Callum Wilson (£7.8m) have led to a belief that Isak&#8217;s minutes are more secure, however it&#8217;s worth noting the Swede may be an injury concern himself.
He came off late in the game, with Eddie Howe stating he had &#8216;signalled to come off&#8217;. Wilson played the final few minutes, although judging by Howe&#8217;s <a href="https://www.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/fpl-gameweek-8-review-saka-misses-city-game-haaland-and-son-blank-budget-gems-emerge">comments</a>, he was not ready for significant action.
FPL managers looking to own Isak would be wise to wait until closer to the deadline, so as to assess both Magpies strikers&#8217; statuses.

Turning to transfers out, it&#8217;s <a href="https://www.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/pervis-estupinan-injury-latest-and-best-fpl-replacements">Pervis Estupinan (£5.1m)</a> who comfortably leads the way.
The Ecuadorian left-back has an injury that will keep him out for &#8216;one month, more or less&#8217;, according to his manager Roberto De Zerbi.
And with Manchester City up next, it has convinced 433,000 managers and counting to ditch him.
Brighton&#8217;s fixtures look favourable from Gameweek 10 however, so sellers may be looking for Brighton options again soon.
Injury uncertainty for Bukayo Saka (£8.6m), who is set to miss England&#8217;s international games, means he is the second most popular transfer out.
But it&#8217;s a case of poor form for Marcus Rashford (£8.8m) that has convinced 94,000 managers to ditch him &#8211; could he make them regret their decision when he faces Sheffield United in Gameweek 9?
For the 21.2% who still have the midfielder in their teams, Gameweek 9 could well be his last opportunity to impress. City await in Gameweek 10, although another strong burst of fixtures follows afterwards.

Raheem Sterling (£7.0m) tops the over-performance list, followed by Tottenham Hotspur defender Micky van de Ven (£4.5m).
Their hauls have prompted a trickling of transfers in, ranking 18th and 16th most popular buys to date.
Sterling scored one and assisted two against Burnley, despite an expected goal involvements (xGI) of just 0.5.
The winger caused Burnley problems throughout the game and his assists came through winning a penalty and from forcing an own-goal off Ameen Al-Dakhil (£4.0m).
Sterling&#8217;s three goals and three assists have come in two games &#8211; against Burnley and Luton. Chelsea rank third bottom for fixture ease over the next six gameweeks, which may prevent a significant rise in ownership.

Mathias Jensen (£5.4m) is the 14th most popular transfer in this week after scoring his third goal of the season against Manchester United.
The Brentford man is the highest-scoring midfielder priced at £6.0m or less &#8211; but he is now the second highest over-performer of expected points this season (+20.2) behind Watkins.
Marc Guehi (£4.5m) over-performed his expected points by six in Gameweek 8. Crystal Palace kept a clean sheet against Nottingham Forest, despite an expected goals conceded (xGC) tally of 1.2, and Guehi picked up maximum bonus.
Joachim Andersen (£4.9m) is the Palace defender who continues to attract most attention though, being brought into more than 100,000 teams.
Andersen has the superior attacking threat so far this season, having scored twice.
But the Dane has over-performed his expected points by a greater margin, ranking third overall this season. Guehi offers a cheaper route into the Palace back line and may prove better value over the long run.

<h2>Gameweek 8 under-performers</h2>
Own-goals and red cards led to several players&#8217; appearances in the under-performance list this week, although no one missed out on a huge score.
Richarlison (£6.7m) was the top under-performer of Gameweek 8 &#8211; and he couldn&#8217;t blame own-goals or cards.
The Brazilian missed two big chances (0.81 xG) against Luton, failing to convert from two yards out early in the game.
The Spurs midfielder was a two-week punt on Wildcard for a handful of managers after the injury to Manor Solomon (£5.3m). They will be hoping for better when Spurs host Fulham in Gameweek 9.
