<h2>Sky Overhaul preview</h2>
<p>The Sky Overhaul period is open - and it's the only one we'll get this season, with Sky having upped the transfer count by 10 to 50 for the second season running.</p>
<p>So who’s on the radar? Which players have been doing well and who’s been good for bonus points?</p>
<p>What single game days are there, how many transfers should you have left and is there anything else to consider?</p>
<p>The overhaul started after the West Ham v Brighton game and runs until January 12th - the 19.45 kick off between Burnley and Luton.</p>
<p>For anyone not quite sure what the Overhaul is, it's a chance to make unlimited transfers, which don’t come off your transfer tally and essentially you just pick a whole new 11 to tackle the second half of the season.</p>

<p>Most teams have 18 games left, so there's plenty of time to turn things around if you've not started well.</p>
<p>Some people have been counting down the days until this period, while others don’t necessarily need it as much.</p>
<p>For most of us who own the likes of<strong> Son Heung-min(£9.7m)</strong> and <strong>Mohamed Salah (£11.5m)</strong>, who are on international duty, it’s pretty handy.</p>
<p>It’s also useful if you want to cover off some of the single game days. You can start with a player from these teams and just sub them out, rather than have to use two transfers to bring them in and out.</p>

<h2>Sky Overhaul: Remaining transfers and leaderboard</h2>
<p>If you're in the top 100 and have 25 transfers left, I think that’s decent enough.</p>
<p>If you’re top 100 and only have 15 left, then I think you’re going to have trouble staying there.</p>
<p>I’m ranked at 3,130th on 1,606 points, with 31 transfers left. The team in 100th is on 1,728 points, so I'm 122 points off the top 100. A realistic target for me is the top 100 but anything more is unlikely.</p>
<p>Going by the transfer tallies below, I’m hopeful of chasing down a top 100 finish.</p>
<p>The last information we had on average remaining transfers was on December 22, so the numbers might be even lower.</p>

<p>A lot of these teams have used a lot of transfers, so don’t give up hope. The season I won, I was 200 points off the top team at one point.</p>
<p>Just remember they have an average of around seven transfers left.</p>

<h2>Sky Overhaul planning: Fixtures and single game days</h2>
<p>Luckily, we have the fixtures for all of January and February. There's far too many to list, so make sure you check out the fixture grid on <a href="https://ffstuff.co.uk/FixtureList.php?GT=Sky&amp;L=PL">FFStuff</a>. and <a href="https://www.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/ian-parrins-sky-transfer-toolkit">Ian Parrin's transfer spreadsheet</a>.</p>
<h3>Single game days</h3>
<p>Here are the single game days in January and February:</p>

<p>Firstly, there are some real stinkers there. Burnley v Luton is about as unappealing as it gets. Everton v Palace isn’t much better.</p>
<p>With Chelsea, the only player I want is <strong>Cole Palmer (£6.5m)</strong>. Chelsea defenders and goalkeepers haven’t been any good, although the keepers are both cheap enough.</p>
<p>Their strikers haven’t been worth having since the Didier Drogba days. If you want to cover some of these, then I think you’d be better off having a placeholder in your team for Salah for example. You can then switch them aroujd to cover these games before going back to the Egyptian when he returns from the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).</p>

<h3>AFCON, Asian Cup and winter break</h3>
<p>AFCON runs from January 13 to February 11 in the Ivory Coast and the Asian Cup is in Qatar from January 12 to February 10.</p>
<p>The most notable absentees will be Son and Salah - a full list is in the Hub article <a href="https://www.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/which-premier-league-players-are-heading-to-afcon-and-the-asian-cup">here</a>.</p>
<p>Obviously the sooner their teams get knocked out, the sooner they’ll return to Premier League action.</p>
<p>You’ll have to keep an eye on how they are doing so you can introduce them back into your team. I’d also make sure you leave enough budget to be able to do so.</p>
<p>The best idea in my view would be to make a side with Salah and Son in it and then work backwards.</p>
<p>There’s also the staggered winter break at the start of January over the first two gameweeks. The Carabao Cup final is on February 25, so potentially Liverpool and Chelsea won’t have games that weekend. They're due to play Luton and Tottenham Hotspur, who would also blank.</p>
<p>The FA Cup won’t really affect things until the quarter-final stage on March 16.</p>
<p>This is when things get interesting and teams will start to have 3 for 1’s over others. You can really take advantage of the fixture swings during this period.</p>

<h2>Selecting a Sky Overhaul team: Top-scoring players</h2>
<p>It’s no surprise to see Salah leading the way. <strong>Erling Haaland (£12.0m)</strong> would have been close had he not missed the last few weeks through injury.</p>
<p>I don't really think there are many other surprises here. Perhaps people might be unaware <strong>Douglas Luiz (£8.0m)</strong> has been nicely ticking over.</p>

<h3>Sky bonus points</h3>
<p><strong>Rodri (£9.4m)</strong> leads the way for bonus. It’s mainly all passing bonus for the Spaniard but he is capable of chipping in with the odd tackle bonus and goal, as he's shown this season.</p>
<p><strong>Declan Rice (£8.1m)</strong> has been pretty consistent and he's £1.3m cheaper.</p>
<p><strong>James Trafford (£6.6m)</strong> could be the cheap keeper option that would provide a captaincy option against Luton. He won't keep many clean sheets but is good for bonus.</p>
