<p>Everton v Liverpool has been postponed this morning (Saturday, December 7) as Storm Darragh causes disruption across the country.</p>
<p>The Merseyside derby was the first scheduled kick-off of FPL Gameweek 15 and was expected to go ahead yesterday, with the clubs issuing travel advice for fans.</p>
<p>But the severe weather led to the postponement following a meeting this morning.</p>
<p>The cancellation will have an impact on fantasy teams, with <strong>Mohamed Salah </strong>set to be the most popular FPL captain and nearly 200,000 transferring in <strong>Trent Alexander-Arnold</strong>.</p>

<h2>What will happen to the FPL deadline?</h2>
<p>The FPL deadline is usually 90 minutes before the first kick-off of the week &#8211; and was set to be 11:00 today.</p>
<p>FPL has however confirmed that the <a href="https://x.com/OfficialFPL/status/1865319959934435488">deadline will remain at 11:00</a>.</p>
<p>This is a different approach to Sun Dream Team, which has adjusted its deadline to 13:30.</p>
<h2>Should FPL managers transfer out Salah?</h2>
<p>This is unlikely to be the best course of action for most FPL managers.</p>
<p>Salah has been the leading points scorer this season and Liverpool&#8217;s fixtures remain strong, ranking fifth best overall on our <a href="https://www.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/fixture-ticker">fixture ticker</a> for the next six gameweeks.</p>
<p>The ideal scenario would therefore be to replace Salah with a player from the bench and start him again next week. This is particularly the case if he has risen in price significantly since buying him, in order to avoid paying a higher price to get him back again.</p>

<h2>When will the Everton v Liverpool match be played? Will there be an FPL double gameweek?</h2>
<p>The postponement means a double gameweek is likely to be created later in the season.</p>
<p>The Hub&#8217;s resident fixtures expert <a href="https://www.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/ben-crellins-fpl-transfer-planning-sheet">Ben Crellin</a> outlined the possibilities yesterday amid speculation the match could be cancelled.</p>
<p>It&#8217;s not yet clear whether this would slot into a double gameweek that is already planned or lead to a new one.</p>
<p>An extra double gameweek would be a bonus for managers with chips like the Triple Captain still active, providing more choices.</p>
<p>There is set to be fewer doubles this season due to changes to the FA Cup schedule.</p>

<p>Addressing the Everton and Liverpool impact, Ben said:</p>
<blockquote><p>&#8220;The earliest it could be rescheduled to is January 1st in Gameweek 19 as both teams don&#8217;t have a fixture in that midweek, but that&#8217;s probably unlikely due to short notice and the busy festive schedule.</p>
<p>&#8220;If you want an extra mini double gameweek to play Triple Captain, Bench Boost or Mystery Chip outside of the expected double gameweeks (33 and 36) then you should root for the game to be postponed and for Liverpool to reach the EFL Cup final, in which case Everton v Liverpool would most likely move to Gameweek 25.</p>
<p>&#8220;If Everton v Liverpool is postponed and Liverpool don&#8217;t reach the EFL Cup final then the fixture would likely move to Gameweek 33, when at least four other teams will likely have a double gameweek.&#8221;</p></blockquote>
<p>Liverpool play Wolves (H) in Gameweek 25, so they would have a home and away double should the Everton match slot in there.</p>

<h2>Are any other matches being called off in FPL Gameweek 15?</h2>
<p>There has been no confirmation of any other Premier League matches being called off as things stand.</p>
<p>But there are <a href="https://www.metoffice.gov.uk/about-us/news-and-media/media-centre/weather-and-climate-news/2024/red-warning-for-storm-darragh">weather warnings</a> in various parts of the country, so keep an eye on social media ahead of the deadline.</p>
