The 2023 January transfer window is now behind us, with plenty of Premier League sides splashing the cash on deadline day.

<h2>FPL impact of Deadline Day transfers</h2>
Here we provide a Deadline Day transfer roundup and discuss the FPL impact of completed transfers involving Premier League sides.
Enzo Fernandez (£5.0m) was the biggest deadline day mover, breaking the British transfer record with his £106m switch from Benfica to Chelsea, following his World Cup win with Argentina.
Fernandez is more of a defensive-minded midfielder, although he does offer some goal and assist threat, so at £5.0m in FPL, he has the potential to become an option depending on how he is used by Graham Potter.
Jorginho (£5.8m) meanwhile made the move across London, switching from Chelsea to Arsenal. This will provide some much-needed depth in midfield for the Gunners’ title charge.
The Italian could potentially take penalties for his new club, which may be worth noting for Bukayo Saka (£8.2m) owners, as the England man is their current spot-kick taker.

Manchester United dipped into the loan market for a midfielder, following the long-term injury to Christian Eriksen (£6.3m).
The versatile Marcel Sabitzer (£5.0m) joins United from Bayern Munich, bringing bags of experience, and some decent goal and assist threat to boot.
Liverpool on the other hand failed to address their glaring issues in the centre of the park, despite being linked to several central midfielders, and will continue to rely on their ageing assets to fill the gaps in midfield.

Another big piece of news is that FPL favourite Joao Cancelo has completed a move from Manchester City to Bayern Munich, after falling out of favour with Pep Guardiola.
This could mean that young full-back Rico Lewis (£3.9m) becomes a serious FPL option, offering a cut-price route into the City defence.
Spurs meanwhile have signed £44m right-back Pedro Porro (£5.0m), with Matt Doherty completing a move to Atletico Madrid.

At the other end of the table, this year&#8217;s relegation battle is shaping up to be an interesting one.
Despite Anthony Gordon (£5.2m) moving to Newcastle for £40m, the Toffees failed to reinvest any of that sum, and Sean Dyche will instead have to rely on the fight and characteristics <a href="https://cms.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/sean-dyche-everton-fpl-prospects/">laid out in our Dyche to Everton piece.</a>
Owners of Nathan Patterson (£3.9m) may feel it is worth holding onto the Scotsman despite his injury, given Dyche’s defensive record in the Premier League.
Patterson is expected back in Gameweek 24, when Everton’s strong run of fixtures begins.
However, there is likely to be competition from Seamus Coleman (£4.4m) so it will be interesting to see who Dyche prefers at right-back in the long run.

Southampton signed Paul Onuachu (£5.5m) from Genk, a 6ft 8ins striker moving for £18m, who should fill the void up front, to the potential delight of Southampton fans who have been crying out for a forward.
Onuachu scored an impressive 79 goals in 114 appearances for the Belgian side.
Southampton also sealed a club record £22m deal for Ghanaian winger Kamaldeen Sulemana (£5.0m), who impressed at the World Cup in Qatar.
Saints fans will be hoping these two signings will be the key to unlocking their attack and keeping them up.
Nottingham Forest meanwhile strengthened even further, with a trio of signings,
Goalkeeper Keylor Navas (£4.5m) is a notable signing, which could have an impact on the security of Dean Henderson (£4.7m) starting between the goalposts.
Henderson is currently out injured for a few weeks, so Navas will certainly get his chance to impress.
Forest also signed Jonjo Shelvey (£4.8m) from Newcastle and defender Felipe (£4.5m) from Atletico Madrid.
Centre-back Harry Souttar (£4.5m) joined Leicester for £15m and could help to shore up the Foxes defence, which may be of interest to owners of Danny Ward (£4.0m).
Leeds United moved for young defender Diogo Monteiro, with USA key man Weston McKennie (£5.0m) joining the Yorkshire club a day earlier.
Fulham brought in Serbian midfielder Sasa Lukic (£4.5m), and Arsenal full-back Cedric Soares (£4.2m) also joined on loan.
Bournemouth completed the loan signing of Ivory Coast winger Hassan Traore (£4.5m) but weren&#8217;t afraid to splash the cash too, with Dynamo Kyiv centre-back and Ukraine international Ilya Zabarnyi (£4.5m) joining for a £24m fee.
Finally, Crystal Palace brought in a pair of central midfielders. Naouirou Ahamada (£4.5m) arrived from Stuttgart, and Albert Sambi Lokonga (£4.3m) joined on loan from Arsenal.
