Exciting changes to the 2025/26 Telegraph Fantasy Football game are expected to be officially confirmed next week, Fantasy Football Hub can exclusively reveal.
Telegraph (TFF) managers will receive extra transfers this season, while more fixtures will included in the game, according to our sources.
And in contrast to the annual uncertainty over the Fantasy Premier League (FPL) launch date, we can confirm that TFF is expected to go live on Monday (July 28).
Here&#8217;s a summary of the changes we&#8217;re anticipating this season.

<h2>New to Telegraph Fantasy Football 2025/26: Carabao Cup fixtures count</h2>
Previous versions of TFF have seen Premier League and FA Cup fixtures counting towards players&#8217; points totals.
But now, we understand that the Carabao Cup will also be included for the first time.
This could see the traditional advice of holding your transfers until the FA Cup kicks-off after Christmas tweaked slightly, with potential opportunities to make some early moves.
Round 2 of the Carabao Cup &#8211; the first stage when Premier League teams are involved &#8211; will take place in the week commencing August 25.
Clubs who qualified for the Champions League and Europa League begin their cup campaigns in round three, from the weeks of September 15 and 22.

<h2>New to Telegraph Fantasy Football 2025/26: Extra transfers</h2>
Five extra transfers will be available to TFF managers this season, enhancing the potential for a few changes to be made before the festive period.
This move is presumably in response to the additional fixtures being added, so careful planning will still be required to have the best chance of winning.
<h2>When is Telegraph Fantasy Football launching for 2025/26?</h2>
Monday (July 28) is the anticipated launch date for TFF, giving managers three weeks to draft their teams.
The first match of the Premier League 2025/26 season is Liverpool v Bournemouth on Friday, August 15.
