In his FPL Gameweek 30 review, Fantasy Premier League author <a href="https://twitter.com/Davvawavva">David Wardale  </a>reports on the four matches that make up this most sparse of schedules.
The Sunday fixtures resulted in an emphatic win for Spurs and a slightly fortunate one for Leicester.
Saturday&#8217;s only game ended in a narrow victory for Arsenal.
Wolves hosted Leeds on Friday night in an epic match for nearly all the wrong fantasy reasons.

<h2>FPL Gameweek 30 Review &#8211; Sunday</h2>
<h3 class="western">Tottenham Hotspur 3 West Ham United 1</h3>
Heung-Min Son (£10.9m) and Harry Kane (£12.5m) made Blank Gameweek 30 bearable for a large swathe of fantasy managers.
The South Korean scored twice and pulled in maximum bonus for a 15-pointer enjoyed by 24.2% of FPL bosses.
The England captain provided assists for all three of Spurs&#8217; strikes as his 23.1% ownership picked up 13 points.
Both stars were also well captained.
Kane led the way, with 1.7 million handing him the armband, while Son was second on the list, albeit a long way back on 542,000+ backers.
When there are only four fixtures, the gameweek was never going to be a high-scoring one. But Son and Kane&#8217;s contributions at least meant most managers would go away with a shred or two of fantasy dignity still intact.
It was, however, too much to ask for Tottenham to keep a second straight clean sheet, and a fourth in five matches.
Said Benrahma (£5.9m) spoiled that party when he smartly steered home from a Craig Dawson (£4.9m) flick.
That gave the defender&#8217;s 1.2% fan club a little something from the game.
You suspect that there was zero sympathy for the 10,796 who took a punt on Kurt Zouma (£5.4m) instead.
They watched their feline-unfriendly man record an own goal and bring in -1 on the day.
The defender turned in Kane&#8217;s cross for Spurs&#8217; opener. Son was in close attendance and could easily have had a hat-trick.
Then again, Kane was strangely wasteful, missing one golden chance with ten minutes to go.
The Hammers hung on as best they could, but looked very tired as the match went into its final quarter.
That could be a theme for the rest of the season – especially as their European commitments are still not done.
Michail Antonio (£7.5m) is, arguably, the poster boy for that fatigue threat. He was subbed off before the 60-minute mark for a second straight one-pointer and a seventh blank in eight matches.
He&#8217;d missed two excellent chances by then and even with a fixture in the gameweek, he still lost owners.
Few will be going for Hammers assets for the run-in.
Spurs, even with just the one (yet to be scheduled) double to come, are a different matter entirely.

<h3 class="western">Leicester City 2 Brentford 1</h3>
Gameweek 30&#8217;s rehabilitation in the eyes of (some) fantasy managers continued in Leicester&#8217;s win over Brentford.
There was plenty of transfer interest in James Maddison (£6.8m) and Harvey Barnes (£6.6m) for the fixture and they both delivered.
The latter set up the opening goal, a screamer from the returning Timothy Castagne (£5.3m).
It was the fit-again defender&#8217;s first action since Gameweek 20, so it was understandable that he&#8217;d lost owners every single week since.
Even so, pity the 452 who finally lost patience for the blank as Castagne produced a whopping 14 points from his goal, two bonus and a clean sheet as he was taken off on 63 minutes with the score at 2-0.
Maddison brought in maximum bonus thanks to his game-winning goal, a trademark free-kick awarded for a foul on&#8230;Maddison.
That&#8217;s two goals and an assist from his last five matches, only three of which he&#8217;s actually started.
A double in Gameweek 33 and two other fixtures yet to be scheduled should mean plenty of interest in Foxes players for the rest of the season. Maddison remains one of the very best options, although the same can&#8217;t be said of the side&#8217;s defenders.
They had kept two straight clean sheets prior to Gameweek 29, but have just those two shut-outs to their name across the last nine fixtures.
A Yoane Wissa (£5.7m) free-kick put paid to their latest attempt at blanking the opposition.
The assist came from early-season fantasy troll Bryan Mbeumo (£5.2m), who also had good chances to score himself.
But the gameweek&#8217;s most popular purchase, Ivan Toney (£6.7m), whose ownership almost doubled heading into the match, had far fewer opportunities to add to his red hot form of seven goals across his last four starts.
Brentford will feel aggrieved not to get something from the match, especially as the influential Christian Eriksen (£5.5m) missed out with Covid.
They still worked Leicester keeper Kasper Schmeichel (£4.8m) on five occasions and most of his saves were excellent ones.
His opposite number, David Raya (£4.3m), had just the two stops to make.
Even with Eriksen likely to be back for Gameweek 31, the Bees have no doubles to come and travel to Chelsea next.
That should mark the end of FPL&#8217;s latest flirtation with Toney.

<h2>FPL Gameweek 30 Review &#8211; Saturday</h2>
<h3 class="western">Aston Villa 0 Arsenal 1</h3>
Blank Gameweek 30 belatedly coughed up a few fantasy points for more than a minority of managers in a well-deserved Arsenal victory at Aston Villa.
The match winner was Bukayo Saka (£6.7m), who just happened to be the most popular player with a fixture in the gameweek.
The midfielder mopped up the maximum bonus to bring in 11 points for his 31.2%-ownership – a third double-digit return from his last six starts.
There was no assist awarded.
The result also benefited some, if not all, of those managers who had a stake in the Arsenal back line.
Ben White (£4.5m and 13.8%) and Kieran Tierney (£5.1m and 13.4%) were the second and third most popular defenders performing in the gameweek.
The former also brought in a bonus point.
But FPL&#8217;s most owned goalkeeper, Aaron Ramsdale (£5.1m and 21.4%), missed out with a hip injury.
His replacement, Bernd Leno (£4.5m), only had one save to make and it came with the last kick of the match, which amply demonstrated how well Arsenal shut down the home side&#8217;s attacking threat.
That one Villa shot on target came from the otherwise subdued Philippe Coutinho (£7.5m).
The Brazilian, owned by 24.9%, was the third most popular player involved in the gameweek.
He was also captained by 200,000, a figure surpassed only by Tottenham&#8217;s two key attackers, so it certainly wasn&#8217;t a great match for every FPL manager.
You could add the 4.2% invested in Gabriel Martinelli (£5.3m) to that particular list.
The in-form midfielder missed the match with illness, although it wasn&#8217;t Covid-related.

<h2>FPL Gameweek 30 Review &#8211; Friday</h2>
<h3 class="western">Wolves 2 Leeds United 3</h3>
A late Luke Ayling (£4.3m) winner capped a remarkable comeback by Leeds in a Friday night thriller at Wolves.
Only a complete curmudgeon &#8211; and the entire Wolves fan base &#8211; could begrudge Leeds their victory from 2-0 down and with four players lost to injury.
But this is a fantasy football site, so let&#8217;s not lose sight of the fact that this was an absolute car crash of a match for nearly every FPL manager.
The most popular player on the pitch, the 18.1%-owned Conor Coady (£4.9m), ended the night with one point.
The second most popular should have been Raphinha (£6.5m and 18%), but he succumbed to Covid and didn&#8217;t feature at all, much to the dismay of the 200,000 who&#8217;d brought him in to beef up their threadbare blank gameweek squads.
And, finally, the third most-owned player, Raul Jimenez (£ 7.6m), somehow contrived to do worse than both of them.
He was given a second yellow card for a collision with Illan Meslier (£4.8m) – a harsh decision, even if it did force the Leeds keeper off with an injury – which produced a -2 for his 13.1% ownership.
Still, somebody, somewhere must have profited from the game. They were just few and far between.
Leeds started well and had decent early chances that neither Rodrigo (£6.2m) nor Patrick Bamford (£7.7m), who later limped off and wept on the bench, could convert.
But by the time the interval finally arrived – various injuries lengthened the half by 11+ minutes – the home side were two up and cruising.
Jonny (£4.5m) opened the scoring when he turned in a pass from Trincao (£5.6m), who was on for the injured Ruben Neves (£5.3m).
The substitute, who also hit the post with a brilliant long shot, then doubled the lead from a Daniel Podence (£5.5m) assist.
At that stage, it was game over.
Once Jimenez was dismissed, it was game back on, especially when Jack Harrison (£5.5m) and Rodrigo had got the score to 2-2 in a frantic three-minute burst of goals just after the hour-mark.
Assists came from Ayling and Sam Greenwood (£4.5m).
There was still time for more Leeds injuries, a bust-up involving both sets of coaches, and chances, particularly for the visitors, to seal the win before Ayling&#8217;s decisive strike.
The defender ended the night with 13 points.
That&#8217;s nearly double his previous best for the season and it was enjoyed by a relatively enormous 2.8% of FPL managers.
So that&#8217;s around 260,000 who defnitely had a good evening.
The rest of us won&#8217;t have had many more forgettable fantasy Fridays.
