<h2><strong>Individual player stats - sorted by expected points (xPts)</strong></h2>
<p>It’s no surprise <strong>Mohamed Salah</strong> is at the top but there are a few who are worth keeping an eye on.</p>
<p><strong>Jean-Philippe Mateta</strong> has been on fire lately, as has <strong>Chris Wood</strong>.</p>
<p>There are quite a few forwards performing well at the moment. There are also a few midfielders emerging and this suggests it’s a good time to rotate your funds away from defence.</p>

<h2><strong>FPL Double Gameweek 25 fixtures analysed</strong></h2>
<h3>Liverpool v Wolves (H) | Aston Villa (A)</h3>
<p><strong>Last match:</strong> Liverpool were tested by Bournemouth but, as has been the way this season, luck was on their side and they made the most of their chances. Meanwhile, Wolves surprised everyone with a comfortable win over Villa and now look well placed for survival given the poor form of the teams below them.</p>
<p><strong>Head to head:</strong> In the reverse fixture, Liverpool beat Wolves 2-1, once again benefiting from a goal by Salah.</p>
<p><strong>Recovery:</strong> Liverpool have a slight disadvantage against Wolves, as they only have three days' recovery after the Everton game. Then, Villa also have the advantage due to an additional recovery day, having played one fixture less during this period.</p>
<p><strong>Additional factors to consider</strong></p>
<p>Liverpool have the best attacking stats in the league by a distance. They have the second best home xG and the best away xG in the league. They’ve scored more away this season, averaging just under three goals per game away.</p>
<p>Defensively, Wolves are getting slightly better but still allow a high volume of big chances. They concede slightly more away.</p>
<p>Villa are solid - they’ve only conceded 14 goals at home and only Arsenal have a lower home xGC.</p>
<p>Based on these statistics, Liverpool should comfortably beat Wolves, with odds leaning towards a 2-0 victory.</p>
<p>In contrast, the match against Villa is tougher to call due to their strong home defensive record. While the odds suggest a 1-2 result, we believe a draw is a realistic possibility.</p>
<p>Wolves concede the most shots from wide areas and are poor defending set-pieces. Villa concede the most shots from their right.</p>
<p>Both Salah and <strong>Cody Gakpo</strong> - or whoever starts on the left - have good positional match-ups here. Salah also leads the team for shots in the box and big chances.</p>
<p>Both <strong>Dominik Szoboszlai </strong>and <strong>Luis Diaz </strong>are ahead of Gakpo on those metrics.</p>
<p>Wolves have conceded the joint-most penalties (six) and Aston Villa have conceded two. Liverpool have already won six penalties already. Salah captain again?</p>

<h3>Aston Villa v Ipswich (H) | Liverpool (H)</h3>
<p><strong>Villa’s form:</strong> Villa one again struggled in the league after their Champions League match but bounced back to defeat Spurs in the FA Cup, with some of their new players featuring.</p>
<p><strong>Opposition form:</strong> Ipswich's loss to Southampton dealt a severe blow to their relegation hopes and few teams manage to get points from Villa Park. Liverpool are however expected to be one of the rare exceptions, given their relentless form.</p>
<p><strong>Head to head:</strong> Ipswich and Villa shared the spoils in their reverse fixture with a 2-2 draw. <strong>Ollie Watkins</strong> hauled before getting injured, while <strong>Morgan Rogers </strong>contributed seven points.</p>
