It&#8217;s the first double gameweek of the Fantasy Premier League (FPL) season this week, with Arsenal and Wolves both playing twice.
But who are the best Arsenal players in Double Gameweek 26? Are struggling Wolves worth investing in? And is the Triple Captain chip worth using?

<h2>What is the best Arsenal trio for FPL Double Gameweek 26?</h2>
The likely absence of Bukayo Saka &#8211; having missed the Gunners&#8217; last three games through injury &#8211; makes this question easier to answer.
Declan Rice and Gabriel lead the <a href="https://www.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/predictions">Hub AI</a> predicted points chart this week, offering multiple routes to points &#8211; from <a href="https://www.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/fpl-2025-26-changes-defensive-contributions">defensive contributions</a> to attacking returns.
The duo are the top-scoring Arsenal assets this season, with 134 and 135 points respectively, and are the most popular picks from Mikel Arteta&#8217;s side.
The debate for the final spot is between two &#8211; with double defence likely to be the way many managers go.
Jurrien Timber takes third place, on 9.8 predicted points. He leads the way among all defenders for expected goal involvements (xGI).

But goalkeeper David Raya also offers a reliable route into the backline and is £0.5m cheaper than Timber.
With Arsenal&#8217;s elite defence limiting Raya&#8217;s need to make saves, he does not score bonus points often.
Come Blank Gameweek 31 however, when Arsenal have no fixture, it may be easier to bench Raya without limiting the number of active players available to start.

<h2>If I&#8217;m already tripled up on Arsenal, should I change my trio?</h2>
With Arsenal topping the league, many FPL managers already have their preferred Gunners trio in place.
Gabriel, Raya, Rice and Timber are all at least 30% owned, with William Saliba and Viktor Gyokeres in more than 10% of teams.
Assuming you own three of the most popular four, there is likely to be little value in swapping one for another.
Transfers are precious at this stage of the season and if you&#8217;re not using the Free Hit to get through Blank Gameweek 31, you may need some moves saved up to deal with blanking players.
Manchester City and Crystal Palace are likely to join Arsenal and Wolves in blanking in Gameweek 31.
Transfers need to be carefully considered as a result, even if you own a less popular Arsenal player.

<h2>Are any Wolves players worth buying?</h2>
Wolves are rooted to the bottom of the table, having scored the fewest goals and conceded the joint second most.
Their highest-scoring player is Joao Gomes, on just 62 points.
The double gameweek will undoubtedly tempt some FPL managers into buying a Wolves player but their fixtures are not the most appealing.
While Nottingham Forest (A) could provide some joy, their extra game is against Arsenal (H), which severely limits their upside.
There is also the need to consider Blank Gameweek 31. Any Wolves player purchased could soon be a transfer out.

A clean sheet is unlikely, even when an improvement in their defensive data is taken into account. They rank fifth best for expected goals conceded (xGC) since Gameweek 20.
Ladislav Krejci has the best xGI among the Wolves defenders at 3.2 but two defensive contribution points limits his all-round appeal.
If you do want to take a punt, Mateus Mane is ninth on the Hub AI predicted points list this week.
The £4.6m forward has two goals and two assists to his name, having only recently become a regular starter in Rob Edwards&#8217; team.
Defensive contributions could help Gomes to a respectable total. He&#8217;s scored 20 points this way. Goals or assists are unlikely, with the Brazilian failing to register any from an xGI of 2.1
One to avoid is Yerson Mosquera, whose nine yellow cards put him one away from a two-match ban, making him a risky pick as a result.

<h2>Are there any differential Arsenal options worth considering?</h2>
With Saka sidelined, Noni Madueke has started both of Arsenal&#8217;s last two league games.
He scored and assisted against Leeds in Gameweek 24 but two early substitutions &#8211; in the 60th and 59th minute &#8211; are reasons to be cautious.
Martin Zubimendi has scored five, assisted one and earned eight defensive contribution points.
The defensive midfielder could offer a bit of everything at a budget £5.2m &#8211; similar to Rice &#8211; but is not on set-pieces like the Englishman.

Viktor Gyokeres and Gabriel Jesus could haul but the forwards have shared minutes of late, reducing their chance of two starts.
Leandro Trossard has the most goal involvements (10) aside from Rice and Saka but may have been injured late on against Sunderland at the weekend.
<h2>Is the Triple Captain worth using in Double Gameweek 26?</h2>
The Triple Captain chip is ideally best used in a <a href="https://www.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/fpl-blank-double-gameweek-guide">double gameweek</a>.
Fixture scheduling expert <a href="https://www.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/ben-crellins-fpl-transfer-planning-sheet">Ben Crellin</a> is forecasting two more doubles after this week &#8211; in Gameweek 33 and 36.
We don&#8217;t know which teams will play twice in these weeks &#8211; and the latter may not happen at all.
Manchester City could have a double in both if cup results go their way, making Erling Haaland a possible alternative.
The Norwegian could end up being a better option &#8211; he has had single-gameweek projections of at least 10 in the past &#8211; not far off Rice and Gabriel&#8217;s predicted points for Double Gameweek 26.
There&#8217;s no certainty at this stage though, so the decision is a fine balance between how well you think an Arsenal player will score this week versus the risk/reward of waiting.
When writing his <a href="https://www.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/fantasy-premier-league-team-reveals">team reveal</a> for the Hub last week, Ben was among those planning to save his Triple Captain for a future week.
Other members of the community are going for it this week. <a href="https://x.com/CharlieVantFPL/status/2020759890629947770">Charlie Vant</a> for example pointed out on Twitter that when looking at Gabriel&#8217;s two-game scores this season, he has not blanked at all.

<h2>Will Saka play any minutes in Double Gameweek 26?</h2>
Speaking ahead of Gameweek 25, Arteta had the following to say about Saka&#8217;s status:
<blockquote>&#8220;His hip is getting much better. Hopefully very soon he will be with us, very soon.&#8221;</blockquote>
The winger was not in the squad to face Sunderland, putting a severe doubt over his expected minutes for the double.
Even if passed fit for the Brentford game, two starts seems highly unlikely. It&#8217;s previously been reported that Gameweek 27 was the target return date.
Unless Arteta offers substantially new information &#8211; and we may not hear from him before the deadline &#8211; it&#8217;s reasonable to expect very little involvement for Saka in Gameweek 26.
Still in 9.1% of teams, this is a case where using a transfer on an Arsenal player looks wise.
