<p class="western">For all of those burned by Burnley (the clue was in the name) and their wretched Gameweek 27, it&#8217;s time to apply the ointment that is another set of <a href="https://cms.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/fixture-ticker/">double fixtures</a>.</p>
<p class="western">At least this time we have six – and maybe eight – teams to work with, although let&#8217;s start by whittling that number down a wee bit.</p>
<p class="western">So, should Norwich beat Liverpool (unlikely) or Chelsea overcome Luton (much more like it) in tonight&#8217;s FA Cup ties, their Gameweek 30 clash will move into this round of fixtures.</p>
<p class="western">But you&#8217;re not going to go near a Norwich player anyway and there seems little point spending thinking time on Chelsea assets until we&#8217;ve actually seen who&#8217;s playing this evening and, crucially, until they&#8217;ve actually won the game.</p>
<p class="western">We can also bin off Leeds players.</p>
<p class="western">They&#8217;ve got a trip to Leicester and a visit from Aston Villa for their double.</p>
<p class="western">But they&#8217;ve also got a new manager, so we have no idea what that will mean for the team in terms of how they will react to Marcelo Bielsa&#8217;s eviction.</p>
<p class="western">Equally mysterious is who new man Jesse Marsch will select to combat the side&#8217;s current unique selling point of conceding at least four goals a game.</p>

<h2 class="western">FPL Gameweek 28 Best Transfer Tips &#8211; Pick A Defender, Any Defender</h2>
<p class="western">Of the five teams now left from the arbitrary cull above, two of them are offering little up front.</p>
<p class="western">Wolves, for instance, have scored just once in two matches and are averaging a goal a game over the last five.</p>
<p class="western">So pinning your hopes on the likes of <strong>Raul Jimenez (£7.5m)</strong> to bang might be a recipe for frustration and woe, even with home fixtures against Crystal Palace and Watford.</p>
<p class="western">Talking of the Hornets, they might be as dull as a Glenn Hoddle monologue, but they&#8217;ve kept three clean sheets in Roy Hodgson&#8217;s six matches in charge.</p>
<p class="western">Watford will probably struggle to keep Arsenal out at Vicarage Road on Sunday, but their midweek trip to the Black Country screams 0-0 draw.</p>
<p class="western">Their defenders, and goalkeeper <strong>Ben Foster (£4.1m)</strong>, are also dirt cheap.</p>
<p class="western">Talking of bargains, Wolves wing-back <strong>Ki-Jana Hoever (£3.9m)</strong> started in place of the injured <strong>Nelson Semedo (£4.8m)</strong> in the 1-0 loss to West Ham on Sunday.</p>
<p>He&#8217;s a steal at that price should he keep his place.</p>

<h2 class="western">FPL Gameweek 28 Best Transfer Tips &#8211; You Can&#8217;t Have Both</h2>
<p class="western">Three teams left, including Aston Villa and Southampton.</p>
<p class="western">There&#8217;s a lot of pundit love for Saints striker <strong>Armando Broja (£5.5m)</strong> ahead of a double involving Villa and Newcastle.</p>
<p class="western">But there&#8217;s been more transfer activity surrounding <strong>Che Adams (£6.9m)</strong>, and with good reason.</p>
<p class="western">The two strikers&#8217; respective form is a lot to do with that.</p>
<p class="western">Since Adams was given a 25-minute run-out from the bench in Gameweek 21, he&#8217;s scored four goals, added an assist and has 33 points.</p>
<p class="western">Broja has managed two goals and 22 points, but from 79 minutes more pitch-time.</p>
<p class="western">Over that period, he&#8217;s only just out-shot Adams (13 v 12) and beaten him for attempts on target by a similarly tight margin (8 v 7), while having three big chances to his team-mate&#8217;s five.</p>
<p class="western">If price is not an issue, Adams looks the better bet.</p>

<p class="western">The opposite can be said of the battle for your hearts and minds involving Villa midfielders.</p>
<p class="western"><strong>Philippe Coutinho (£7.4m and 20.3%)</strong> is the popular purchase this gameweek, while Jacob Ramsey <strong>(£4.8m and 9.4%)</strong> is cheaper and, currently, better.</p>
<p class="western">The pair are the team&#8217;s top two FPL performers since Coutinho&#8217;s Gameweek 22 debut, with Ramsey on 35 points to the Brazilian&#8217;s 32.</p>
<p class="western">But half of Coutinho&#8217;s total came from one game, whereas the Englishman has had the good grace to produce two double-digit hauls over the same time frame.</p>
<p class="western">Yes, the new signing offers a more rounded chance of points as he leads the way for attempts (14) and has provided eight key passes – four times that of Ramsey.</p>
<p class="western">So spend big on Coutinho if you can afford it.</p>
<p class="western">Ramsey, however, is a lot cheaper, has generally similar <a href="https://cms.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/opta/" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c="1" title="FPL Stats by OPTA - Player and Team Stats">stats</a> and, thus far, a better output.</p>

<p class="western">Newcastle are now unbeaten in seven.</p>
<p class="western">Over that run, who&#8217;s started all of the matches and leads the way for key passes (12), big chances created (two) and assists (two) among Magpies players?</p>
<p class="western">It&#8217;s <strong>Ryan Fraser (£5.3m)</strong>.</p>
<p class="western">He&#8217;s also scored a goal (from 12 shots) and his points tally is just one behind team leader <strong>Fabian Schar&#8217;s (£4.3m)</strong> 33 for that period.</p>
<p class="western">And if that&#8217;s not enough, he has an ownership (0.5%) that&#8217;s as small as he is, so you&#8217;ll be getting a massive differential, ironically.</p>
<p class="western">Newcastle will play Brighton and then Southampton.</p>
<p class="western">The Seagulls have just the one clean sheet to their name since Gameweek 19, and that came against the offensive titan that isn&#8217;t Watford (two goals from those six Hodgson matches).</p>
<p class="western">As for the Saints, they&#8217;ve kept two clean sheets in a row – the third time they&#8217;ve done that this season.</p>
<p class="western">So all six of their shut-outs for the campaign have come in mini-clusters and they had to wait for 13 matches before this latest burst of defensive excellence.</p>
