<h2>FPL Double Gameweek 29 team news: International break injury doubts</h2>
<p>International breaks often lead to a number of yellow-flagged players, with FPL managers eagerly awaiting news from club press conferences.</p>
<p>It was no different this time, with several injury doubts emerging.</p>
<p>We&#8217;ve highlighted a key few players below, however check out Ben&#8217;s <a href="https://www.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/premier-league-predicted-lineups">article</a> for updates on the likes of <strong>Phil Foden (£8.0m), Nick Pope (£5.4m), Miguel Almiron (£5.5m), Darwin Nunez (£8.8m) </strong>and more throughout the day.</p>
<h3>Erling Haaland (£12.0m)</h3>
<p>Haaland is in nearly 75% of FPL teams, so his potential absence could be a headache for millions of managers.</p>
<p>Due to feature for Norway, Haaland withdrew with a groin injury at the start of the international break.</p>

<p>Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola held a press conference on Friday but in typical style, it was a case of wait and see. He said:</p>
<blockquote><p>&#8220;Erling is recovering, we have the last training session to see how he feels.&#8221;</p></blockquote>
<p>Pressed for further details, Guardiola continued to keep his cards close to his chest.</p>
<p>A journalist then asked him to clarify that he wouldn&#8217;t be risked for Liverpool if his fitness was in any way a doubt. Guardiola added:</p>
<blockquote><p>&#8220;We&#8217;ll see today and at the end the doctors and especially the player will decide &#8211; how does he feel. Yesterday I spoke with him and he feels good but we will see what happens and life is risky in these stages, you have to take it.&#8221;</p></blockquote>

<h3>Marcus Rashford (£7.3m)</h3>
<p>The England international failed to make his country&#8217;s Euro 2024 qualifiers.</p>
<p>A knock was given as the reason, with the Manchester United man posting an image of himself in the United States during the break.</p>
<p>Rashford was pictured in individual training on Monday, captioned as &#8216;recovery mode&#8217; on his Twitter account.</p>
<p>Erik ten Hag gave an update on the midfielder on Friday, who if fit is expected to be the most-captained FPL option in Double Gameweek 29. He said:</p>
<blockquote><p>&#8220;I have good hope. He trained but he had to do some treatment, he had to do some individual training and, today, he joined in the group.</p>
<p>&#8220;I think we have one more day so I have good hope he&#8217;s available. I think so.&#8221;</p></blockquote>

<h3>Sven Botman (£4.5m)</h3>
<p>The Dutch defender&#8217;s form for Newcastle this season was rewarded with an international call-up &#8211; but it wasn&#8217;t one to remember.</p>
<p>Botman was among a number of Netherlands players to withdraw due to illness, including Liverpool&#8217;s <strong>Cody Gakpo (£7.7m)</strong>.</p>
<p>But he was pictured training for the Magpies earlier in the week and manager Eddie Howe confirmed he had suffered a &#8216;nasty bout of food poisoning&#8217;.</p>
<p>Howe said his centre-back &#8216;should be fine&#8217;, giving FPL managers confidence ahead of his double gameweek.</p>
<h3>William Saliba (£5.2m)</h3>
<p>Saliba missed Gameweek 28 with a back injury and was unavailable to play for France during the break.</p>
<p>The centre-back has not yet returned to training, ruling him out of FPL Gameweek 29 at least.</p>
<p>Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta noted back injuries are &#8216;tricky&#8217; to manage, suggesting an return may be a little way off.</p>
<p>He said:</p>
<blockquote><p>&#8220;He is progressing, unfortunately he had some discomfort in his back and we are trying to manage him in the best possible way.</p>
<p>&#8220;Unfortunately he is not going to be fit for this game [v Leeds] and he is trying to do everything he can to feel better.&#8221;</p></blockquote>

<h3>Kai Havertz (£7.6m)</h3>
<p>Another player who struggled with illness over the international break, Havertz is also hoped to be fine for Chelsea&#8217;s double.</p>
<p>The German withdrew from the national team, however Blues manager Graham Potter indicated his forward would be in contention for the weekend.</p>
<p>Potter said Havertz had a fever but had since recovered.</p>
<h3>Reece James (£5.8m)</h3>
<p>The Chelsea full-back has had a frustrating season, scoring just 34 points after an injury hit campaign.</p>
<p>He left the England camp &#8216;for assessment on an ongoing issue&#8217; but was videoed heading out for training on Friday morning.</p>
<p>Potter said James should be available for Saturday&#8217;s match against Aston Villa, having taken part in the last two training sessions.</p>
